Lol no. I meant Apocs, usually with Howitzers or other cheap artillery (“Bananas”)
This might not be actual anymore, since the Apoc’s prices increased later on (back then it was around 60 mill isk), and the Tornado wasn’t even in the set yet, also the way security in eve is handled changed. but when i badgered around with my first trader toon, it was the cheapest most effective alpha ganker in high sec routes, especially the caldari (Jita) - Amarr trading route. Some delivery missions sound to good to be true, especially if the partner of the guy waits two gates further.
I did fly Caldari and Minmatar mainly, so I would know those 
Do have to add: I was always more the fan of the new Manticore, the Hawk and of course of the Rattlesnake. Such beauties.

First: Should it want to go insite some atmosphere it would be able to fly.
Second: THIS IS THE REAL REASON…
First of all, are you aware of the laws of physics? Lemme illustrate:
Here you can see that a lever basically multiplies the strenght applied on an object, so basically, the longer the lever the smalled the force you need to use to move, lets say, that boulder in the picture, so, theoretically an lever with astronomic proportions would allow a man to move the earth.
Whats that have to do with ships?
WINGS, if you put a wing, and at the tip of that wing you put a small booster what would happen? It would move the ship around it’s axis much quicker, or, if you prefer economy, instead of a big badass booster to turn your ship you can put a xxxx machine at the tip of the wing and thats already enought to rotate the whole thing.
Basically wings in space are a MUST for high maneuverability, since you can pitch a ship faster than you can turn, so, rotate it to the side tou want to turn and pitch the ship, you will get a much swifter turn. Its all Physics.

sorry, but no. It would move it much stronger and with much more precision, but slower. If you want quicker, just stick it to the hull. But than you lose precision.
Lever is a device which sacrifice speed to gain strength.
Oh, and putting thruster engine on a wing brings less vibration as well. Many nice crafts went apart because of vibrations out of control (like my balls on my old bike).

We’ve crossed the line from what looks cool to what looks realistic.
Also, if thrusters are too close to the center of axis they’ll exert more strafing force than rotational force unless it’s counterbalanced with additional thrusters.
If it’s realistic ships you want, I’ve made a pair:
Both of which were born from weeks of planning, as well. Those things are as small as we could realistically get them, I don’t think any of them is bigger than 15 metres in any direction. Also, they’re drones, so no pilots.
