Ah no, never. Anyone can reach T5 with enough effort, there is no skill level you have to hit. You meet people in Guards that do not use phase shield whatsoever.

Currently recon interceptor because because it allows me to move quickly around the map to cap the beacons. I prefer flying Gunship/Commandship/Engineer but I also like winning and I find that unless I’m in my recon interceptor my Skirmish team looses because nobody else caps the beacons and it takes too long to get to them on the other ships.

Are you sure you are not talking about DrDeath? Because I personally saw him charging a beacon with 4 drones in Sector Conquest in his CovOp and dying to them…
Never had any trouble killing them all and moving on. Even better unless against a guard frigate which takes too long to kill I can normally win 1 v 1’s before their friends arrive.

yeah i saw him the other day…i was fighting by himslef but im pretty sure he saved me team.or not i dont remember

i can squad up w/ u if u want lol.no, i either do the “eyes on” thing and hope that my team comes to assist me, or i fly away to help cap another beacon or kill some ships until my team gets a slap in the face with my baguette slapping machine and wakes them up out of their daydreaming

This reminds me of a recon match last night. My team’s capt was in a Wolf-M, and at the start of the battle he turned around and flew off alone in the reverse direction (it’s impossible to keep up with a Fed gunship when you’re in a Styx). Next thing we knew, a recon warped in and our capt died within seconds.
If you cannot handle a beacon with 4 drones in a recon or a covert ops, you are doing wrong.

it isnt exactly"easy to kill them" i think that they are just for buying time for the team who has the beacon so theyd have time to fly there and defend it

Using main guns of any reasonable type they die during a single orion cycle and orion lasts 5 seconds (shrapnel is fastest, takes a single shot per drone usually). If you’re in a hurry you can plasma arc on top. So yeah it’s not easy, it’s trivial.
