Your main ship

And you have never seen a well flown* Rakzaboom dealing with the Bubble Gunships  :bomber:

never saw it… and I know that HE have no idea how to protect his captain!

You sir have never seen a well flow bubble gunship

I saw! ESB can use them pretty well and that USIK guy

Well one has to pick their fights. I just run away if i’m getting blobbed

there is no"picking fights" u fight or u die, besides, while ur running they will come after u guns blazing, and theres a lot of ships out there that can go WAYYYYYYYYYY faster and they would over power u . Just like bots lol once they lock on to u theyre like a pack of hungry wolves and they keep shooting at u until u die

never saw it… and I know that HE have no idea how to protect his captain!

i actually had a mk4 self destruct and i was blowing myslef up every time i see an enemy but i realized my skill dropped to 800 pts so i stopped using it long time ago.but… It was fun

Well I was talking about guards and ramming into the enemy xD

Well I was talking about guards and ramming into the enemy xD

ooooo weeell cant

u just dive in to a gruop of enemies: continously ram them, activate pulsar and shoot EM torps everywhere! (Remember to damage yourself! Or u will lose ur “suicide bomber(ness)”

HEY !

RAMMING PEOPLE IS A SERIOUS JOB !

I try my best

I try my best i have the jericho implant which makes the collision dmg go to shield instead of hull. Do it on a tormentor(anykind) its like a giant boomerang and u can smack people left and right

trust me, gigas II is better

trust me, gigas II is better

Now that it buffs shields too, yeah. I don’t know why did it need a buff, but right now it’s unquestionable. It was such a relief to play in T1 and lock on anyone anywhere, i knew they wont lock back on me, wont even notice the lock and i wont activate their gigas II.

Easy contest. Fighter, preferably gunships. A ship with average health that is able to ANIHILATE anything standing in its way. With the use of overdrive and multipurpose modules. They can destroy a jericho t5 guard within seconds, which destroying squishy interceptors in 2 hits with crits. They also have high manuverabilty, which can even be enhanced more by ship modifiers and implants. Nothing beats the classic powerful gunship.

Fed Gunship > Empire Gunship

Few seconds on a JGuard? lol. Did you ever fight against a well build Inquisitor S / Patriarch?

But i agree with you, Gunships are great, one of my main roles.

But i fly almost everything.

My standard roster is Covert Ops(F), Recon(F/E), Gunship(F/E), Guard(J) and sometimes LRF(E), i use all of them.

I think diversity is the spice of life, so i fly all ship types and classes.

Of course i have some prefered ones like the fighters. They’re the perfect mix of Power and agility for me.

Among Fighters, i enjoy the sneaky Tacklers at most. Probably because you’ve got ceptor swarms everywhere, and flying tackler helps thin them out.

And one smart inty pilot and you’re done with your tackler, there is seriously no chance against a planned attack by a smart interceptor pilot.

If you’re on a tackler.

I don’t like ships which can be focused & killed easily, guard has torpedos & hardcore shield size/regen, so i don’t care here. But the tackler’s cloak can so easily be disabled.

Apollo. I like to be a wrecking ball. flat out damage. why? because like any good wrecking ball I know where to put myself. Covert ops can really crank out the damage too but its too squishy for my style of play because I almost always make a nuisance of myself. I take it as a compliment when people put aside what they’re doing to come for me specifically because with my positional play it means i’m being destructive to an opposing team on multiple fronts. Even when I gear my gunship for a faster movement playstyle such as particle purge jousting it has at least double the survivability on base than an interceptor, and this is exactly the kind of thing I need.  Although I am trying my best to level some recons (and probably ecm’s as well) because there are occasions where you can’t kill your way to victory with the efficiency that mobility will get you there.

oh yeah, and the cruise modules have really helped out. whether i tank fit or speed fit in a gunship, I’m always able to go fast The only difference is for how long.

edit afterthought (tl;dr): when I talk about gunships like this I am not saying they are the best. They have weaknesses I am quite aware of and am constantly experimenting with ways to overcome. What I am saying is I am a simple person, and I prefer the simple, distilled to the core damage and hitpoints method of gameplay that does not rely on fancy mating rituals but the swing of a hammer.

I don’t like ships which can be focused & killed easily, guard has torpedos & hardcore shield size/regen, so i don’t care here. But the tackler’s cloak can so easily be disabled.

Any ship can be focused and killed easily. Tacklers only have problems against recons, because recons are meant to counter tacklers.

Other than that, they are pretty safe, more if you play long range tackler (like lion MK2)

And one smart inty pilot and you’re done with your tackler, there is seriously no chance against a planned attack by a smart interceptor pilot.

the same can be said for the ceptor Pilot 001j.png .

One smart Tackler and he’s done for.

The only ceptors, where you have to be careful are the recons.

I try to play the tackler more offensive, using the damage boost after cloak. I pick targets that are unsespecting. A few seconds and a ceptor is gone. If a ceptor pilot plans an attack on you as a tacker. you’re doing something wrong.

Like Eviscerador said, of course, everyship can beat every other ship in the same tier in this game, and that is what makes it so interesting.

My Ceptors have an emergency button against tacklers, then i’ve 3 seconds for orientation. Recharge & strike back.

You can’t focus each ship to death, some are just unkillable / veeeery hard to kill, examples: Wolf-M, Sai.

I can also do it with CO, find tackler, Plasma Web. Shoot down. Plasma Arc, if he cloakes he is coming back soon. Adaptive Camo / Multipurpose to stop slowing & regenerate & escape.

As far as i’ve a good engy my Wolf-M is seriously not killable, except i’m unlucky or my engy dies.

you’re really discussing alot from a personal perspective and your words sound like a few classes are good and the rest sucks.

There’s more to it than that.

But yeah, this isn’t the place to discuss what ships may be op and what ships can kill what or with what tactics. So, broke my own rule. CU Later. :012j:

Tacklers only have problems against recons, because recons are meant to counter tacklers.

If it’s a 1v1 between a recon and a tackler, it’s easy enough to lock onto the micro-locator and down it with one missile. And if the tackler gets spy-droned, he only has to tap a rock to knock them off.

While I agree that Recons seem to be designed to take on cloakers, Covert Ops are more of a problem, as their plasma web cannot be disrupted, dodged, or blocked and they can jam locking systems.
