Siguderp with octopus FTW!
If it’s a 1v1 between a recon and a tackler, it’s easy enough to lock onto the micro-locator and down it with one missile. And if the tackler gets spy-droned, he only has to tap a rock to knock them off.
While I agree that Recons seem to be designed to take on cloakers, Covert Ops are more of a problem, as their plasma web cannot be disrupted, dodged, or blocked and they can jam locking systems.
Any good recon player will wait till you cloak to use the ML, or will jump on you and use the SD when you are far from cover. Since all tacklers are shield heavy, the recon is made just to kill them. Also, recons have an inbuilt insurance agains tacklers, thanks to their camo, which will break tackler inhibitors.
I prefer fighters.
While I am not saying that Frigates are useless… quite the contrary, they are very useful in a team, but flying alone they can be tricky to master. However, I personally dislike flying at speeds lower than 200m/s. I like the durability though.
Interceptors are a close second, I like the agility and speed, and each has some pretty cool modules, but I generally like being able to take some damage, so the Interceptor’s low durability just doesn’t match my play-style.
I like fighters because they are good all-round (good firepower and durability, with decent speed).
The biggest challenge I face right now is: Which fighter? I generally like the Tackler and Gunship best, but having a temporary, extra health-bar with the Command is pretty nice too…
Holy xxxx its necrooooo
Very balanced, wow. Nicely done devs! That said, I just got the Hyena last night, and I have to admit it’s harder to fly than I expected. I still need to get the syn ranks up…
I like trains.
Frigates. The Styx is my main, followed by the Minotaur, then Crus S. After frigates, I enjoy empire recon interceptors.
Fighters, my Saw One can take on most ships without a problem

Destroyers.
Destroyers.
Odd, you strike me more as a battlecruiser type.
I still like trains.
