When this game consistently will have proper advertise?

Now, with official release of the game, i guessed that the game will benefit by a huge advertisment.

But I didnt saw a thing about that, just integration with Facebook and VKontakte.

Why this game doesnt deserve the same huge advertisment like War Thunder has?

With actual lower playerbase, game has a huge handicap and problems with mixing tiers doesnt help at all for better/faster matchmaking.

It needs at least 10000 active players to work well, not 1500-2500 like it has now. Now it feels like a slowly dieing game.

When this game will have the advertisment it deserves, Gaijin? Why this game is treated second-handed compared with War Thunder? When you understand that a decent playerbase and retention of old players will be the succes of the game, not what it is atm?

This game is treated like a side project to get some more income and it definitely feels, that it’s not on their priority list. I am skeptical about Dreadnoughts plans as well.

WarThunder/main project used to have 70000 players worldwide, while this game barely can have 2000 players now, except when the servers are overloaded, there was around 3000/5000 players online at that time.

Low cost, low maintenance, minimal requirements for servers, no advertising only shows one thing - low risk - no serious projects are planned in the future for this game.

I still want to know, if the servers are only being tuned for stability and are the same as before and if not, did they invest in a new ones, better ones and for how much?

Game engine looks simple and limited as well. I think that only basic knowledge or maybe intermediate level of programming expertise is required to really know how to program this game.

Graphics is good, but in the future, if the game still exists and surpasses our expectations, we will need High Resolution DLC pack to keep up with the visuals.

Even, if the game gets scrapped, they won’t lose anything. In fact, I think, they will not even care. However, I do not know any financial situation of their company. Maybe they are in trouble, like many are.

I don’t like to speculate, but I would really like to know true facts, without any disguise.

Note: The opinion stated above is my own.

I disagree with this.  They have stated over and over that they want to keep the game simple to run on low end PCs like mine. For that I am grateful to them!

The rest seems fair, and yeah like you say, there’s no point advertising when as soon as more people come the server overloads and they run away after 5 games…

Yes, Koromac, I have the same feeling about it.

And who to blame, Millanbel, if not Gaijin for not adding more and reliable servers? And we return to what Koromac said.

i am sure devs do everything to make this game even better  :fed001:

the question is: what can we do to support them?

Give them all the moneywe can and convince others to do the same also.

You are going to make me bludgeon myself to death from hitting my head on my desk.

You’ve seen the scrolling text of players buying premium ships. This company is not broke, not by a long-shot with what they charge for those things.

Selling all DLCs for the low, low price of $300! All premium ships can be bought for some obscene amount, as well (I think it’s something like another $300, but I don’t know for sure)! Premium subscriptions for those of you who want to cut down two or three years of grinding to only one or two! Premium upgrades when you get tired of spending a week trying to get enough to upgrade a single piece of equipment! It’s a bargain! Get your Star Conflict riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight here!

agree. devs can never have enough money  :004j:

in some games you cant buy enough. for example hawken: you get everything very fast. here we don’t have such problem  :snowgirl:

All we need now is population. And at least 30% of the newcomers to stay.
Population will fix the entire matchmaking drama/problems in few months when we will have enough players at T3/4, even T5.

I dare to say we need higher population more than we need Dreadnoughts, which by my knowledge were going to be the big thing that is revealed upon release.

EDIT: To add another thing. I play WT for awhile and for the last 7 days I experienced 4 patches. Today there was some minor update. In comparison we had to play with broken implants for 2 weeks and no idea how long with broken adaptive shields. Not minor bugs, but game breaking.

Promoter/Gaijin is mostly devoted to War Thunder. They told us that. War Thunder is their priority.

I do not blame developers/StarGem for this current situation. The game is almost 3 years old now, since it was announced.

They are working on it, but probably with minimal resources/time/effort spent on it.

We all know that progression and evolution of this game was rather slow in the following year or so.

I agree, there were some good changes. Overall, we gained little new content in such time period.

Their staff is limited and we don’t know how many developers are working on Star Conflict right now, but I speculate, that there could be 4-8 developers on this project.

Dreadnought project is either put on hold for now, most likely.

The game is technically still in “beta-stage”, even after “official release”.

I worried about this game a lot, but for what I’ve seen so far, I am just going to wait and then decide, if I want to invest more on it or not.

That’s all I would like to say on this issue.

well i like star conflict :fed001:

and we don’t have to play it all the time. there are to many ftp games around. i am sure star conflict will be very cool game in future

I find it funny, that we have a necromancress with such a positive attitude.

War Thunder is established now - mainly because they have a lot of competition. Since Spacegames are somewhat of an emerging theme again, however, I would start betting on the other horse, too.

Too bad WT starts to have also a bit of a reputation because of its grind :frowning:

Funny thing is that in wt forums they blame star conflict for the delays on the patches and development.

But it’s not the same Devs Team O_O xD

Reading the older posts, I start to belive this game will share the same fate as Black Prophecy. Shame, that game was awsome.

Player numbers are actually going up and there are no plans to stop the project. Some advertisement is also in work, but currently I cannot reveal any details.

P.S.: Greetings to an old BP pilot.

A friend of mine said he saw a vid ad and said it didn’t do the game justice.

He said the ad made it look turn-based, 2d, with little to no active animation.

Player numbers are actually going up…

Shame that we’ll have to take your word on that. Seeing as they removed every feature that told us how many players were online, for some unknown reason…

the steam online player number is available for public
