I think everything is as it should be now but needs just a little bit more tweaks and thats all, tharga is still a bit of a mess tho.

“Kill 50 destroyers with Iridium slug as ammo” - Mission for Hive of Thar ga
Destroyers are hunted so hard, that whenever one spawn, the whole team jump on it.
BTW I noticed something today. They removed one of the destroyers restriction :
Having one destroyer on your team doesn’t mean the opposite will necessarily have one.
I saw that because in a PvP I had a destroyer on my team and I was like “Cool, who do I need to farm until he spawn in a destroyer ?”. But then I realized nobody had a destroyer on the enemy team.

Idk how to tell you this but you have to grind over a month for every T5 ship so there is nothing special about dessie, besides it can create 8km nope zone, still is harder to kill than normal ship, has superior dmg, teleport, blackhole and few more denial/high dmg stuff
It takes a month to grind a T5 ship??? How long does it take you to get Synergy and Credits?? Like stop being dramatic and trying to make your point look better…and not everyone uses a vigilant, what about my Tyrant? It’s been the worst Destroyer choice so far, now it’s even easier for people to get close to me and just rip my 60%+ resistance shields to shreds as if i was an interceptor. I want at least some usage for modes other than PVE for a ship that takes so long to grind for. Yeah they have high dps, but they are all practically glass cannons now for any ship that gets close enough. I can’t even 1v1 a Thar’Gah if i used my Vigilant, the dps comparison is laughable even though i hit all my shots, yet nobody is complaining as much about that train wreck of a ship still being flyable and ruining T5.

Please explain: why should grinding more allow you to be unkillable?
If you have a problem with ships getting close to you, then don’t allow them to get close. You have plenty of modules for that purpose (laser, wormhole, 9k range guns etc…)

As i said and you are dodging what i said, i simply don’t want to be the squishiest ship as of now where all ships target destroyers right off the bat because of their new weakness. I never asked to be unkillable, and plenty of modules? yeah most can be avoided with ease not every pilot is a moron at flying as you put them out to be, 9k range guns? Lol no gun has that range anymore, and again i’m not referring to the Vigilant, which isn’t even the highest dps ship in the game anymore compared to a universal new ship called the Thar’Gah…which it’s own gun range matches that of any other ship in the game as of now. But obviously these won’t be a big concern coming from someone who doesn’t apparently fly them often, considering the T5 deadness because of Thar’Gah in the first place…

I do not consent. The speed nerf is o.k. BUT must include the Empire and Jericho destroyers , also: halfed speed in Federation = halfed speed in Empire and Jericho destro. That would be reasonable.

Destroyers were killable before but just too quick! And If they seemed to be op - they needed a counter : NOT interceptors being double counters to frigates AND destroyers!

I would not allow the dessies too much of main gun direct damage, more indirect ! If every ship is going design to max kill – game is boring (save to kill Aces like AI npc ships )

The Federation destroyer line got a nerf in rotation, but the speed nerf was for all the destroyers. The impact in Federation can be greater, but the other destroyers got even a bigger percentage reduction.
I’m not against the damage increase from 750m, but I had choosen another path. I think it could be better to make destroyers more irrelevant in battle giving some extra effects to some active modules. A plasma arc could send all active modules into cooldown for 60 seconds, mines from recons could blind them and reduce their main weapon distance to 2000m for 40 secons…All this is less effective than killing the destroyer, but it seems more realistic to me.
Also, it could be a good oportunity to all the ships from ellydium corporation of getting new and imaginative ways of making destroyers, but only destroyers, irrelevant in battle.

You’r right Fed got halved to 30% , empire and jericho halved to 20% speed by energy router switch!! Missed that, sorry. I find speed nerf reasonable!

Its a new game mechanic: if it was nerfed for all ship-classes … but only for destroyers… ==> unfair
The main weapons could have been nerfed as well

The speed nerf for other destroyers means they are unable to escape from the center of a black hole putting the federation option in their router and with afterburners. Another reason to hate the black holes

Yeah, but on the R14 you can only the have the routers of the specific faction, for example you can have the Jericho router on Tyrant only and the Federation one on Sirius only, while the spatial stabilizer is the only common module, and now that the maneouvrability has been nerfed, close range Cruiser dodging is not really a thing anymore, but using the spatial stabilizer and outranging the Cruiser is the way to go on them, maybe you can still pull it off with some Verniers but ain’t nobody got time fo dat!
Seriously tho imagine if the 2.5 multiplier would work on the Cruiser, after you kill all its turrets you are usually left with slightly below 20% of his HP so triple damage can help a lot to finish it off, I rarely see randoms that know what to do in there and that is a very popular map in PvE(Fire Support slightly wins over Defence Contract since FS doesn’t require you to move that much around the map so it’s kinda faster)yet they barely know how to strafe, it’s really painful to look at them sometimes…

These ships you mention don’t have 100k hitpoints and OP modules like gravi hole

Agreed! I was wondering if it could be adapted other things, but I couldn’t think of anything.
