And you think it’s normal that a ship with over 100K HP and doomsday weapons should be able to move away from a bomb or arc deployed by the nimblest of ships in the game?
No they have been nerfed just right. Now they are killable, like any ship (bar thar’ga - some tweaking still necessary)
I’m not quite sure, but anyways. lets see how it plays out. I could be wrong. I still need to play destroyers with the newer nerf more to see how they work best.
I still feel like it should take a few ships to take down a single destroyer, not just one or two.

Wut no dessy where fine before no need to nerf them every players learn how to take them out, it was a taught fight alone but with 2 or 3 team mate any destroyer get downed pretty fast. There is no points having a dessy if it’s weaker than a frigate… now destroyer feel like having a frigate with the health of a fighter… 
Ikr. I haven’t even flown my own destroyers of any rank yet in this version and I kinda don’t want to now. I can solo any dressy in almost anything. It’s like all that work is completely moot. A single plasma arc can take down an archon. A couple of close range torps can too. Any explosive will take them down in very few hits within 750m as well.
For those that don’t read patchnotes: If you get within 750m of a destroyer you do 3x damage do it.
And also how are they supposed to be careful when they are basically just stationary objects now.
Yea that problematic, with this nerf ppl are a bit septic on using them:
We all know that there is plenty of mission that require to kill destroyer witch mean primary target. And now the nerf come on, witch mean easy frags. Double primary target.

It is finally possible to dispatch an overly agressive and out of position destroyer swiftly. But in the right hands… There will be no match for a destroyer.
Im ok with 2.5x damage up close, but fed dessies speed and rotation nerf was necesserily. Blaster turret still keep enemies from you, but you cant rotate toward enemy when its too close.
And Tharga now can one shot full res Vigilant with crit Tharkt. This is really ridiculous.

You’re kidding right?
Do you even know the damages that a single Covert ops with the explosive laser gun can deal within a 3 seconds window?
I know, but a dessy can also vapourize said inty in a second. The chances of death should be 50/50 in said duel. Only my opinion though. ”) (And the snotship is broken anyways, that doesnt count)
Edit: Destroyers were never meant to be close range brawlers in the first place. Guard frigs should do close range suppresion, that is the only reason why they exist. The interceptor still has to get to the super range, super tanky, shielded dessy in the first place. That will always be a high risk, high reward thing to do. I never saw someone complain, that an inty can solo a guard, too…
Then what about Tyrant? His special module has only 3250m range and the passive shield slots works within 2000m, it is supposed to be a close range destroyer but now it seems that all that is left to do is get a 3 horizons and spatial stabiliser build, sit back and kill the enemy from afar while meditating on your choices in life. Sigh, let’s hope they will address this, either get their rotation speed back up or remove the damage amplifier, both could work too.

Jericho got the OS potential same as Empire.
How is that fair? Especially with this 2.5x damage? Man you got 5x damage with explosives now within 750m. If any dessy ‘hunt’ you, it’s easy to kill it now.
This is so ridiculous with the recent anti-dessy meta.
If you argue against dessy, please use ALL RANKS and ALL FACTIONS, not just a single example.
They basicly just buffed things that were already strong against destroyers like CovOps and fighters with bubbles while other classes got left out again. They should just reduce the taken explosive damage to 125% and lower the desroyers’ overall HP by 40%. So everyone gets a more equal chance against them while not making destroyers utterly useless.
On the other hand, before the nerf I often had to think about bringing at least one ship that would be fit to go against a destroyer. And now I don’t really have to be concerned with that. Because flying them is now undesireable.
There is also the repelling beam, or placing yourself in the middle of your own BH but since it deals % damage they may still not hesitate from smashing you with the arc, you can use the Warp-Reflector but you have to receive enough shield damage and maybe they will get inside it so they will deal damage to the hull directly and you have to lock on them, and the base locking time is 3 seconds, so you either get the 2a implant or an overclocked CPU if you want to be time-efficient, the damage depends on size so it may not kill them all the way, I don’t know, maybe I can come up with a build against them, it shouldn’t be too hard…
