14k dps with 100% crit chance + 145% crit bonus + overdrive, what can go wrong on destoryers?

Nah this is going easy on them. Overheat too fast, you loose at least half or your DPS because of the gun mecanics.
Use the second gun instead ! 16 seconds to overheat (last a full overdrive), and doesn’t requires to “charge”.

you will do more dmg with cooling ammo or you have to swap EM bonus for overheat bonus.
One word. Insane… Who will balance this sh*t?

Not needed actually, there’s a 33.3% cooling bonus for tharga for r15 tree, and another capacitor slot I can unlock for more dps, should do that when I get back from work. At one time I see 5 digit number flying vs a dessie with low em resist.

The shrapnel have the exact same DPS as Ga’Tok max damage, but without the overheat constraint and “charge”.
How would he have more DPS when he need need to reach full damage and worry about overheating (which disrupt the damage) when the Shrapnel can go full dps permanently without having those worries ?

It actually take about a second to charge I think, after a few couple pew I dont see dmg increase further even after 10s with cooling ammo, I will make a video when I get home from work today, stay tuned.

Tbf Aggressor lately is a bit rusty. I always admired him and I can see he is getting kinda “less op” in his last appearances.

Same team that made destoryers, they balance ship by making more poweful ships.
Empire in this game is like The Russian tree in WoT. Basically, russian developed games, usually make the “Russian faction” a bit better. So they say, i do not totally agree. But gotta admit. Russians make powerful and strong stuff. Either vodka or tanks and helicopters. Toughness and power. While Fed could be compared to USA/Canadian/Brit/French. Being geared toward mobility and tech. While the Jericho would be i dont know. I have my idea but shouldn’t share.
Anyway, i think it’s a matter of adaptation. I do just as bad or good with any faction, given the time to learn and adapt. I gotta admit it took me forever to be effective in Jeri guards. I just couldn’t stand that tortoise at first. If someone just want to fly what he likes and dont bother having a diverse ship setup or try different builds, to see what works with or against what. It’s his problem and he has to expect being underwhelmed going in against and with peeps that know what they are doing and doing it for the win.

Gun works in a same way as Mass Driver - the longer you shoot the better the performance (damage in the case of thargatok) every time you stop shooting you reset gained dmg and start from minimum, hence the longer your shooting cycles are without interruption, the more maximum dmg you output, plus supernova does reduce projectile speed considerably, great at shooting down bricks from the sky, but i wouldn’t consider it in a serious match.

If you are going to use charge on the shrapnel - you are loosing dpm due to not shooting, if you are shooting by firerate, you are missing out on range and accuracy, hence with bonuses and implant ou are looking at ~6-7 deg spread, which again reduces your dpm.
How’s the gun-mount distribution? Does it have a blind spot ? Bottom, rear? And speed?
Do have some stats for us?

hahaha blind spot. . . nope only interceptors because they are too OP !! You know with their 10K ehp vs the 300K ehp puss.

When spread reaches its maximum value, so dmg does. % of spread = % of dmg.

is vigilant powerful - yes. Tanky? Absolutely - that’s Empire ship. Is it OP enough to win the battles by herself? Nope. Still needs good pilot to do so.
vigilant powerful - yes? ok im fine with it
vigilant SUPER powerful. absolutely.
Vigilant ALSO super tanky? heck no. pick one of the two.
if the vigilant was the best tank ship of the game with its 400k survivability on average I would be perfectly fine with it. but its combined DPS being better than the other destroyers is a pain in the butt
a vigilant fitted with 3 hulls completely surpasses its survivability VS his shield counterpart the tyrant if the tyrant has fitted 3 shields.
by good pilot I guess you mean being able to know that it can do 10k DPS at 8km if built correctly AND knows how to keep a cursor on a target for 1 second necessary to kill anything? yea.
on Jericho I think regen might be better than volume considering that if it regens quickly enough then the damage never reaches the hull. Crew slots for regen and other mods combined. Even on my vigilant I use shield regen instead of volume for the crew slot so that if another destroyer is using for example halo then by the time the halo hits then ive already regened a portion of my shield which reduces damage taken on the hull which is pretty much the same as resistance.
I think that’s what you call a meta build but I could be dead wrong as I am still experimenting with builds. I rebuilt Antares about 20 times but only rebuilt vigilant 1 time.

I can tell you that empire needs shield regen 100% guaranteed. but. jericho’s their only source of health. so they need the resistance and volume builds more than the regen ones. sure you have alot of points and I had your mindset at somepoint too. but to be able to sponge 50% of the damage AND regen it by default or with the jericho energy router. its better to work on resistance or volume (preferably resistance)
