id politely ask you to include a toggle button to show/hide enemy player taunts. it can be quite infuriating to keep getting those which affects mood, gameplay and desire to play the game in the next few hours

Well as far as I have seen, none of them are insulting, and the fact that they infuriate you is the whole idea behind a taunt. You should take them as a challenge, and when you die, come back in you best ship to go kill the taunter!
