I am sure that if they were on their R12 ships I would’ve never been able to catch up with R8 and R9 ships and would’ve staid in T2.
Although this is happening in the T3>T4 Transition.
Exactly my point.

I can understand you guys. I tried to play T4 for 1 Day and in faced T5 ESB in EVERY F**** GAME. I do not see a point to grind T4’s in PVP if i always have to face T5 Rank 14 or 15 Ships with green or even blue equip while i only have a small selection of mk2 or blue items.
Matchmaking as it is now, is way of from beeing balanced. You cannot mix Tiers. Its even hard for a difference of 2 ranks in the same Tier either. Implants are very powerfull, for my taste some are to powerfull, while others are useless.
The the Forum Moderator starts swearing, maybe Gaijin will listen. Please, go on…
You were spamming in the English global chat. You should have tried the Russian global chat.
Of course they wouldn’t understand probably. I don’t know if the Russian ESB’s and et al ESB’s chat together. In any case, you could get a reply.
Edit: Can someone delete this. I think this was for a different thread.
I’d much rather have a full squad of ESB when I’m in a full squad then have some random pugs to go against. I see both sides of this coin its not really fun pug stomping and its not fun solo que’ing into a full squad when its only a 4v4 seeing as how the skill of the other pilots around you are going to determine the end result.

We are very good and fluffy!
I love how they merged Professor’s thread with mine lol
You know Wynnypuh you guys don’t seem that cuddly and huggable in game… ;)wt something doesn’t quite feel right here…so ESB is really a coalition of sentient stuffed animals that have a perma-creepy smile, beady little eyes and are Ace pilots online…yep thats gotta be it!!

If you recall we have faced them in 4v4 up there with a full squad…still got our butts kicked from one beacon to the next. Empire R13 and R14 implants are just too OP for T4 ships to go up against. You can’t even lock them down with an ECM for longer than a split second because of it. Admit it ESB are the kings of 4v4 but once you have full 16 man teams they kinda just fall flat. That same OP 4 man squad is then just another part of the crowd. I’d rather have a full game of NASA vs ESB…our squad and pugs vs their squad and pugs.

we are always like’d to play more team x team games :00999:
I know comrade Troy I was in those games if you recall. That’s more of a tourny setting though with Capture the Beacons being the only game type.
I’m referring more towards a Domination or Beacon hunt game with only 1 man NASA squad and 1 4 man ESB squad plus pugs. Who’s squad can rally the rest of their team to victory? In a game like this you’d have to help protect the pugs as well as your own squad…something ESB doesn’t do much of. Plus respawns negate your style of play for the most part.
JavaJunkie
you want to play on T4 4x4 + some “non corp members” on both teams? you can always PM some ESB member and ask for it…
but like one say “we do what we do, because we can” and we follow game rules … right?
we have custom game… why don’t we play then? :00222:
but it is true, we like to play “classiс” Capture the Beacons more then “arcade game”…
The matchmaker is currently configured to mix T4 and T5 ships together in order to collect statistics of comparative effectiveness of T5 against T4. When the devs get all information they need, they will split tiers up, i suppose. Next. For us ESB, it’s a great opportunity to increase synergy on our T5 ships, and of course we use it. We just play by the game rules, nothing more. If there were no ESB on T5 tier, there would be Nova, or NASA, or someone else. We are not the only corp that has T5 ships. You call that unfair, but you forget that ESB not always dominated higher tier in game. We’ve passed this way through in 2012, when there were old corps Syndicate and T.O.R dominating T4, and ESB was just a bunch of noobbs looking for fun in game. It was hard to stand against SYN’s old experienced players, but we did it. We didn’t complain, we just played by the rules, and now ESB is much stronger as a result. So stop complaining, gather your strong squad on T4-T5 ships and beat ESB up, that’s how it works. We didn’t just get all we need by the wave of a magic wand, we’ve earned everything in fights. Once again: if there was no ESB on T5, there would be someone else, that’s how the system works. For example, today NASA is pretty strong and it gains power really fast, those guys have prem ships, prem accs, they got T5 available. Will it be easier for you if you see NASA squads every fight instead of ESB ones? I don’t think so.
P.S. I see that this thread is mostly filled by NASA’s posts, so my last question is for them rhetorical
And when esb was fighting syn was there rank 7 t3 ship mixed with the rank 12 t4? no i don’t think so. It gives such an unfair advantage i have given up on t4 until it changes
The complaint here is not so much against ESB but for the mixed tiers.
I agree that every [put a squad tag] with R15 ships will most likely beat up badly any 4 pugs with R10-11 ships.
And not because of few more points in hull and shield, but solely cause of implants.
From what I see T4 and T5 ships do not have much difference. No extra module, no extra passive slots. Just some more hull/shields and ofcourse the OP implants that are the cause that T5 dominata T4.
You kill (or assist with damage) someone and you get 25% increased damage ? Yes, please. You have 10 kills/damage assists and you have 30% permanent damage increase ? Yes, Please …

It’s a temporary measure, the devs need to know how strong T5s are in real fights on live server, so they put them in the same queue as T4. The same thing happened in past with T4: usually T4 ships were balanced only to another T4 and never to T3, so on T4 you had to wait 10-15 min in queue until it would find you a proper opponent, but after big patches with major changes T4 were put to T3’s queue for collecting statistics. The devs’ idea was to create fights where all the tiers would be mixed up, and every ship would have it’s own role in fight. Ideal fight is a fight where each side has a couple of higher rank tiers (T4-T5), main battle force consisting of many middle-ranks (T3) and several T2s. In that fight T4 or T5 is a strong ship and a fierce opponent, but it might get killed by coordinated attack of several lower rank ships. Those ideal fights will be affordable only after the game becomes more popular and more players stay in queue. While we’re playing beta with hardly 2000 ppl online, all we can do is stop whining and start testing the existing system, sending our feedback to the devs. So don’t be mad at ESB flying their T5 - someone just has to fly higher ranks and has to show how strong T5’s are in real fights.
Lol Parallax i was about to say…I’d love to see NASA squads
Like it’s been said before the issue isn’t really with ESB but with the mixed tiers…it just so happens it’s always an ESB squad that keeps most people from queueing T4/T5.
Regardless of who’s to blame T5 being mixed with T4 is preventing most of the players in T4 from progressing their ships besides a measly 6k synergy per PvE win. The dev’s shouldn’t have needed a 3 week long live server test to know T5 ships are way overpowered compared to everything else. Also I thought this was the whole purpose of the super testers and the test server? Surely Gaijin has enough testers to do a 6v6 on the test server with different tier ships.
Testers can’t provide statistics array big enough for fine-tuning the matchmaker and balance in whole. Their job is to find bugs and critical balance sags.
Also wouldn’t you feel the least bit frustrated looking at it from our point of view? You’re effectively preventing anybody else from gaining synergy in T4/T5 outside of PvE matches
So don’t be mad at ESB flying their T5 - someone just has to fly higher ranks and has to show how strong T5’s are in real fights.
I agree, someone has to do it. I’d just prefer everyone actually started on a levelled ground and, more importantly, not mixing Tiers. You folks don’t suffer from that because T5 ships are very superior to T4. I’m not blaming ESB, far from it. I just believe it’s incredibly unfair for anyone that enters a T4 match in R10 ships. You might not know nor understand how frustrating that is…

They already had 2-3 weeks to “collect data”. It’s more than clear that T5 ships have about the same effectiveness as T4 ships, were it not for the extra damage/effects on the modules and, more importantly, how broken the T5 implants are when compared to anything else below.

Funny then how there are so many balance F-ups that don’t get fixed at all!
Some of the issue isn’t “T5 ESB” but 4v4 random vs squads. Unless it’s a horrible squad, there’s little ability of a group of random players who probably each speak a different language to work as a coordinated team to beat the squad. It can happen, but it probably won’t no matter how hard you try and die.
