Star Conflict v.1.0.7 Discussion

Yay, I can get moneyz and graphite plates offline! See ya next week, I guess?

Guys… This stuff is free and you will be using ships you don’t even use in the firs place. Complaining for no reason.

Ships that need equipment. In T5, at least for me, that’s not an option.

Then don’t use T5 ships. You didn’t even have a chance to win free stuff and now there is. So don’t complain about free fчcking junk.

Until the day I die I will never understand people like you, Efefay.

This product has a problem. Many problems, but today we’re specifically talking about the problems with the new content.

Your response is to turn around and say “if you don’t like it, don’t use it!”

Here’s a parallel I’m sure many Americans will know well: Comcast. Comcast gives you xxxx service. They also hold a monopoly, and their attitude is “if you don’t like our xxxx service, don’t have internet!”

That attitude helps no-one. It doesn’t help customers, it doesn’t even help the business. Problems should be fixed. People who find problems should have a means to voice their concerns, and people with the means to fix problems should try to do so. The result is better for everyone; the consumer gets a better product, and the retailer gets better PR through word of mouth about their quality product and good customer service, which in turn encourages more people to become their customers.

As ever, the fact the Devs don’t communicate is the problem. I don’t know where this idea came from, but if they’d actually done what I and others have asked for MANY TIMES then it would have come out much better.

Namely, what should have been done is this:

  1. Dev Blog announcing plans for the content.

  2. Active efforts by the Devs to get feedback on what players think.

  3. Redesigning of content based on initial feedback.

  4. Second Dev Blog to check for anything stupid that’s been missed (like what happened with Sector Conquest and allowing Rank 5 pilots to fight ESB…).

  5. Redesign to remove anything stupid that was missed.

  6. Launch.

  7. Collect live feedback.

  8. Tweak based on how the content works in the live game.

Instead, we get…

  1. Launch.

  2. Disregard live feedback.

  3. Tweak. Or not. We don’t really care.

I canceled by incident one day mission, now Im stuck with 7 day ones  :fed014:

I actually agree with Efefay. Now you can use the ships you don’t like or don’t use to get free credits. There’s literally no reasons to not welcome this change.

I’m sick of people complaining about free stuff.

And I’m sick of seeing players complain about the grind being too high, prices being too high, pay to win issues, etc. and the Devs coming up with a ‘solution’ that looks like it would work on paper, but in practice does absolutely nothing.

Swings and roundabouts.

Except the grind is far from high and outside the crew issue and the awful T3 ship tree design there is literally no pay to win.

I tend to disagree, especially since my licence ran out and I have no intention of replenishing it.

Grind is always too high when it’s boring, frustrating and unwelcome, and this game has that in spades!

Crap ships nobody wants: grind them for ships you DO want!

Crap equipment: grind contracts to get decent equipment!

End game content: grind the most boring game mode we’ve ever created for MONTHS ON END to get ONE endgame ship and then start all over!

The problems here are many-fold, but ultimately boil down to two core problems.

Progression is not fun!

Paying to bypass progression is not fun either!

That’s kind of an important part of F2P; investing money into a game is something you should want to do, not something you feel like you have to because the alternative is insufferable.

The game can’t be fun for everyone. When I started I had xxxx equipment like everyone but I had fun leveling up and my reward came later having everything purple in T3.

Well…After reading the posts twice,Seems like there are some un happy players with the update.Funny thing i would like to mention. The patch notes(according to my FB) was released 8 or so hours age. Then 6 hours later a survey was released asking what about the game you liked and so on.Now mind you,i am not a Dev,But i would think before you make changes you would send the survey out, then use that info to shape the next update. But then again i am not a dev…But back to topic…

Well,it is free, and use ships that you do not care for flying,no big deal…But i got excited as a i read the start of the patch notes when i read “Forward Fleet Assignments” and as read,i felt like a bug that got hit with a mack truck.I thought that maybe they took the time to capitalize on the opportunity to encourage more group play. But instead i get to send my ship to…well.some where, and at least we get free stuff for ships you might not normally fly.So not really complaining there.

But where my complaint is,send out the feed back survey “BEFORE YOU MAKE THE CHANGES”,that’s why you ask questions, just saying. Also,i do not think the players want an “Auto” mission,i think the players want some hands on Action.Give us some new faction mission with Group Action in it.Better reward for Group play,Please put the “conflict” back in Star Conflict.Do not give us auto missions. There are some many other things that could have used the attention. And this is What you did…?Again not going to complain about sending my ships on a small vacation that i do not fly.But think the time could have been used better…And with better results and Positive feed back from the player base…

Drop down menu for quests in the invasion mode map now has either the blue or yellow exclaimation mark so you can see which is the daily assignment when two assignments spawned in one sector. Yellow exclaimation mark now also overwrites the blue one outside of the dropdown menu. I feel this is a useful, but very situational change. But it isn’t controversial, so it was bound to be made.

no mission for me ;(

The game can’t be fun for everyone. When I started I had xxxx equipment like everyone but I had fun leveling up and my reward came later having everything purple in T3.

I have purple everything in T3. I still have a xxxx time.

When I started playing this game, last year, I was excited. Every match I was in felt rewarding. Now? Every match I walk into, this is my reaction:

i still like this game

They better give vouchers instead of credits because your ships are for sector missions. But free credits is also nice

Sometimes I just wonder if you are playing the same game than I am.

I had flown and upgraded all the ships in the game, except the Caltrop and the Octopus.

None of them was boring or bad. Some were better than others, but even in the ships that most people hates, I was having fun.

Ehm it’s only me or crews have problems again? It seems that whatever i put some ship, implants doesn’t affect weapons.

Edit: i just checked, also missiles and other implants doesn’t works.

heck i can not even see the new missions?and one know how to fix this?
