They removed kill messages from chat, yay ;p

And here I was hoping this was designed to help new player progress faster and get some materials…

but the required number of ship (all fully equipped I suppose?), and the ranks pretty much exclude any player who played less than a few month already. And the reward is worth less than 5 min flight in open space. It probably takes more time and money to prep up the ships than what you will ever receive back.

At least, give up loyalties rewards since this is the hardest resource to get for newbie/experienced players.

 

Disappointed.

 

 

Edit: I sent what I could for a mission: 5 ships, fully prepped with white/green modules, all at full synergie.

6 days mission, for 32.150 credits reward.

My team has max success chances, however, only ‘57% reward’. Does this mean I will only receive 16.718 credits? So you should sent out ships fully equipped in blue/purple modules for max reward? It already cost 700k for a green xxxx. And you would need 50 green modules to fully fit a squad…

This is completely insane. Just how much production time have you wasted developing this feature? Someone need to fix this ASAP.

 

To put it in relative terms:

I would need to log in the game 10 days in a row, using 30 ships prepped in green, to win the equivalent cash reward of a single T3 defeat.

Forward Fleet Assignments? ok, another construction zone…to be honest, i dont see a real development plan, although there is one on the homepage. For me, its like building a house, but here you start with the walls, although they are not finished, you start with the roof and then you build the cellar. I lost the orientation, where is the path? What is the master plan?

So did anyone notice any actual content in this patch?

Maybe 1 crystal every xxx days Evis. And the credit rewards are not even funny, if that’s all you get in the end. They could put a 500k/week at least. It would mean something for the guys that don’t have time to play, and just 3-4 battles worth of creds for people still playing. 

I did all of my invasions, it did not help. I have no access to new missions as well

If they set 500 per week and mission, and i send 20 missions… That is 10 mill for nothing. You can send empty ships to the long ones. I have 170 ships and i only use around 20.

I will test it anyway but complaining about free money…

Ah i understood you can only have 2 missions going at the same time. If you can have multiple then maybe yeah, it’s cool. 

Forward Fleet Assignments

Now, any pilot who reaches rank 4 in the game can send their ships to perform forward fleet assignments. They may require for your ship to be away for quite a long period of time.
The war with Aliens continues. And your ships in the hangar don’t have to be idle. You can send them to complete assignments of the newly established Forward Fleet. Forward Fleet is a voluntary association of mercenary fleets. It does not consider pilot faction alignment.
Forward Fleet will perform the tasks that it receives from United Mercenary Centre. You can already send your ships on the following tasks:
Patrol
Takes 5-7 days
Always successful
A certain amount of credits is given as a reward
Escort
Takes 2 days on average
Success chance depends on ship group composition
You get credits and various items as rewards
Every day you are offered two jobs. They can be viewed on the right side of the hangar. To start the assignment, the pilot must select one or more of his ships.
Pay attention to some important features. Ships sent to assignments can not be used in combat. The higher the level of synergy of the ship, the greater the chance of successful execution of the task. The better versions of installed modules on ships, the higher the chances of a successful assignment. If the job fails, there is no reward.

Oh, yay, new content, now things are bound to b-… really? 7 days? Unless those rewards are something like 10mill for T5, that’s a waste. A BIG waste of time.

Achievements

Added a new achievement for pilots participating in Special Operation Galaxy Guardian
Achievement is awarded to all special operation participants if there are no losses among them
The special operation has to be successfully finished
Achievement is not awarded if you use a duplicator
Added new achievements tied to effectiveness leaderboards
Recruit: for effectiveness rating over 2500 points
Grunt: for effectiveness rating over 5000 points
Pro: for effectiveness rating over 7500 points
Achievements are permanent and are not lost when the rating changes
Pilots also receive titles of the same name

Oh hey, we only needed to wait 3 weeks for something that could’ve been hotfixed on day 1! That’s an improvement, I’m sure.

 

Leaderboards

Changed logic of weekly titles for pilot leaderboard places
Title Legend is awarded to pilots in places 1 through 3
Title Remorseless is awarded to pilots in places 4 through 20
Title Top Gun is awarded to pilots in places 21 through 50

Terrible additions, as usual. Minor bugs get fixed, major ones get ignored. At least they show work, despite no improvement. Where are the dreadnaughts? Where is the advertisement? Where is the lag fix?

This was a good idea in theory, but the application is terrible; mission time needs to be a lot lower, and rewards need to be something that is actually worth having.

It is free money! these ships won’t do anything anyway. Do you expect to win the same amount that playing but without playing?

 

Also, if you can send more than one mission (that I think you can) then you will be able to send a lot of ships. Afterall, the missions with full success rate doesn’t need you to fit the ships. You can send empty hulls and still win money.

 

And I saw there is a “recall” button, so in case you sent something you may need for whatever reason, you can just recall them and recover the ship.

It’s not free money; it’s money at the expense of limiting your play options.

 

The missions I got both wanted Rank 4 ships, and bizarrely I found there was absolutely no reason to listen to that - sending a fully-equipped Rank 4 earned less reward than a naked Rank 6.

 

Anyway, the point is that most of my T2 lineup is now out of action for a week. I don’t really care about that because I try not to play T2 anymore.

 

But if this was asking for T3 ships, that might start taking away ships I want for PvP. If it asks for T4 / T5, then it starts threatening my PvE / SecCon lineup.

 

Also, from a psychological standpoint offering too little reward is worse than offering no reward. When the content isn’t there, it simply isn’t there; when the content is there but the reward is far, far too low for the time investment, then it becomes a source of grind, or an insult to the player’s intelligence, or yet another way to gouge people out of real money.

 

Crews are the prime example of that. With Implants, people wanted multiple sets, but accepted that wasn’t possible. When Crews came out, cries of “Pay to win!” flooded the forums, Steam and beyond. The Devs would have been better not to include the mechanic at all and save themselves the negative press.

No PVP changes mentioned in the notes… Should I start worrying?

The only thing I will be happy about is to send non-synergized ships there (you know, ones I do not want to play) for 7 days and when they are back all of them will have 1-2 synergy levels up.
Do not care about credits or materials.

Has anyone tested if the ships actually go out to Invasion after you send them on the mission? Or do they just go unavailable and nothing else?
