Oh hey. ONLY 2.5km range! WOW! That’s what? Twice the effective fighting range of a Recon? FOUR times the effective dps range of a CovOps?.. One buff killed 2 ship roles.

You can traverse that range and kill the drone with a single rocket before they fire 2 times. They are only dangerous if they are unchecked.

 

I still have more fear of engineer drones.

Holy shieeeet, 682MB patch again.

Why is the chat box changes not mentioned in the patch  notes ?  Whats with all the extra colours that just add up to confuse players ?  It’s not good information if it makes no sense or just adds to player confusion.

 

What is point in allowing players to play lower tier ships in higher tiers ?  It serves no profitable purpose.

 

Stop players from being able to play lower tier ships in higher tiers, I dont want a t2 captain in a t3 combat recon match ever again!

And whilst I am on teh subject, WHY do you allow players to by ships in tiers that they have not yet progressed to ?

 

There are players who come in, buy GS and purchase a T5 ship, when they have barely played T1 yet. They get instant access to all implants, just from buying a T5 ship, yet they have no clue what they are doing, they cant fly their ship productively, and just ruin the game for their team mates, they h avent earnbed the right to play T5, so why let them just buy a T5 ship and frack it up for everyone else… ?

A hidden change - but a good one for once. You can now hide that obnoxious “BUY A DUPLICATOR YOU CHEAP xxxx!” box.

I don’t see nothing wrong with this. You need to have a tier 3 ship to buy a tier 5 premium I think. And even if you buy a DLC and straight forward buy some tier 5 premiums, I don’t see nothing wrong about that. If they want to skip the leveling they have rights to do so. They won’t do harm to anyone.

Sure it is annoying to have those guys in your team, specially in a small game. But I suppose I have already survived too many Löwe warriors to complain about.

Just enjoy when they are in the enemy team!

That is not a hidden change, that was already introduced in the last patch.

Did you guys forget that tacklers are actually supposed to kill interceptors?

It would make sense that the tackler has modules that can decimate inties.

agree. there are a way to much good interceptors. there are very hard to kill as tackler  :005j: 

i prefer to fight against them with gunship then tackler

Remove all drones then, engineer ones, and monocrystal ones. They are the same, have better DPS and they move! Really dude, I expect more from you.

tacklers have modules which decimate inties. it’s called non-stop inhibitor on, it’s called engine suppressor, it’s called gravi beamer, and it’s called team.

one tackler in a team which focuses cohesion is a death trap for any intie. even if i find proton is a bit too strong against tacklers, and should primarily help you against ecms.

also the tackler is far harder to use than the ecm and more vulnerable.

 

t5 and sec con is only usually smaller games on far too big maps sometimes. it’s more likely to lose big time there :frowning:

 

nevertheless, i find ecms still too powerful. they can be immensely hard to kill and make way too much havoc for a single ship, and they are a nightmare to kill in a group, all while that ship is far too easy to fly. that’s why i refuse to fly ecms usually.

 


 

i have nothing against players bringing low tier ships into high tier games.

 

but they should be informed, that it does not bring them higher rewards. because i think, if i want to bring my T1 ceptor in T3 to give myself a challenge in pubs, it’s different and you won’t have a problem there windswept

but if mr. someone having a T4 ship, and his T2’s which he still wants to synergize, and thinks playing T4 will do that better for him, and even chosing that one for being captain, i am also quite put out.

Funny that so many are crying about tackler drones buffs, almost all are soley/exclusively inty pilots that don’t fly anything but inties… oh wait ! Thats what tacklers are supposed to to do, neutralise inties !

 

Didn’t see you complain when guards modules were nerfed, missle shield put on a timer instead of always on, mass inhibator put on a timer instead of always on, inties able to turn off pulsar at thier wim, so guard now has no close combat defence, as well as all other modules switched off in an instant and put into cool down, even if they where just activated and have not yet operated their function.

 

Typical, look only to your own preferences and ignore the bigger picture.

I am pretty certain, I have seen newly joined players, still just in tier 1, with only a couple of ships, BUY T5 premiums and join T5 matches, just like that.

 

They have only just joined, have only a hand full of battles, yet have instant access to all the implants. They lack teh game knowledge to compete in T5, they lack teh income to get beyond white weapons etc…

 

You don’t see an issue with that ?

apples and pears man. hitting 3-5k (depending on the tackler) with a mk4 guard drone is balanced…not… (with average - good resist). combine that with all the things going on on the space battle field and suddenly the drones are doing most of the leg work. i don’t think that is balanced, a player should have to do most of the work with their aiming skill, not a module (especially one that is so readily available to be re-deployed. i am entitled to my opinion, dont give me that sh_t pls eviscerador. i am an experienced player like you, i don’t mock your opinions. have some respect

Plasma Arc effect area used to be smaller than the visual effect to make using this weapon easier.

Now the visual effect shows this weapon’s true effect area.

Effect area reduced from 135 to 110 metres

hm, I’d give it some time; it was not a needed buff, imho, but let’s see if it really changes that much.

I do expect the double drone trouble fits to disappear, once the general population focuses the drones more.

i would call a tackler with 2 drones a troll fit anyway, because a tackler has 3 modules it needs for his duties.

I’m not going to use the Drones in PvP because I want to be actually useful and slow my enemies, but if they are that OP it’d be as easy as put a constant energy consumption on the drones, so Tacklers using both wouldn’t be able to perma afterburn (or at least it would be harder) with the Cruise Engine.

Anyway yes, tacklers was meant as counter for ceptors, but not with that drones/noskill way. That’s only bull…

I fly everithing that is not an LRF, where i’m wrong if i think that “balance” don’t have to come by noskill stuff?

 

And i will repeat myself -> pooping drones at beacons and cloack away: is a stupid tactic that really don’t need buff.

You are basing that off your standard RF blaster/ Pulse laser “I’m going to be in your face” meta.  Its not like you want to use your plasma arc on the drones and get right on top of them like you do any other ship, they will hit you.  Play smart and kite around them
