Yeah, Devs figured we may have forgotten how unpopular that was and how much we xxxx hate mixed tiers, so they mixed them again.

Seriously, how idiotic are they? We don’t want mixed tiers! We want T4 to face T4! Not T4+T5, not T3+T4, but T4 ON ITS OWN!

There have been many complains about squads not finding a match, players being farmed by others with purple equip, unbalanced teams and waiting times. So the matchmaking still needs improvement. Instead of complaining directly, please play a few days first and look on the balance itself in the battel. Is the fight fair or not for both teams, is the outcome onesided or was it a nice battle? If you feel big issues, feel free to tell us and we will keep on tweaking the system.

In this case please make a report with a screenshot proving the situation so we can look into it.

I have played a couple of matches and found that my green t4s actually match quite well against the purple t3s.  I have yet to see any purple t4s, apart from the odd Scimitar that was used for sec con.

 

I am taking this opportunity to level up my t4s which is very good.

 

Altogether I not complaining about this change, however I would like it to have been in the patch notes.

What you have there is RANK 9 SHIPS with a R7 in the middle of the pack. If your highest is R7, you DON’T have that problem.

  As long as they have not dwelled down into T2 for this mixing Tier experimentation…    As T2’s weapon range for LRF (both Empire and Jericho) are much SHORTER then “other tiers”.   

 

 

The queston becomes WHY IS WE still doing experimentation in an NON BETA environment ?

 

 

Statistics show that hull is often more effective at protecting ships that the shield. This is due to the fact that the shield is much larger than the ship. Because of this, some smaller ships were at a disadvantage due to their size.

Because if it’s a problem for interceptors, what is it supposed to be for 5 Jericho Frigates?

Let’s be honest : MatchMaking needs more players. 

Please forward to the Advertisement/marketing to do something. 

I said it before, I will say it again - WT have over 40,000 players online in peak times. Why ? I see advertisements everywhere. Even in totally random sites. 

I have yet to see SCon one. Game is released, isn’t it ? Where is the advertisement and flow of people ?

Edit : Not saying SCon should have 4,000, but I remember times with 4000 players only in T2/3. With 6000 online. Good times.

Some R10 ships in T3? no probs.

R11 with bad equipment? also no probs. could get challenging.

but where is the line?

seeing it in the patchnotes would be great (or keep a compendium of current “server side mm rules”)

but seeing such stuff ingame as you search for games (which tier you await, how active tiers are, …), or even queue…

yes people are complaining about queue times, but its not just the waiting

its also that while waiting, you know nothing john snow. no ship browse. no map lookies. no info about activity of players. u dont even know if one of your squad forgot a t5 in his deck.

are there other squads? or are they facing each other, so you have to wait a bit longer this time? is there nobody there, but others could pick up that squads are waiting here and there? wait or switch tier? i can alt tab in that case, if i know it.

i still plede, that making the gui better, and the mm more transparent, would also help player numbers.

crafting and salvaging already - as mundane as it is - gives something to do while waiting. optional mini-games and mini-decisions can be an addition. how fast can i sell my stuff without being kicked? nice mini game, better than nothing.

a good gui makes you feel in control. you should be able to access all information read only.

PvP matchmaker works based on the ship of the highest rank in your hangar, so if you equip T1 and T5 you will face T5 and not T1s

That allowed for a much faster queue for squads, and during that time we had a very big jump in average amount of squads of all sized in games.

 So going back to what we have now, in order to report “balance” issues or Matching issues, wait time, well practically anything regarding this, we HAVE to know how it SUPPOSE to be, so we can compare our results. Either in Dev blog, here or some other thread, give us current matchmaking logic, please.

Why is this being done anyway? Why are we getting matchmaking changes we DON’T want and what we ask for is ignored?

 

As has been said for months:

 

  1. Remove the restriction on 2-man squads.

  2. If more than one 2-man squad is in a match, the number of 2-man squads on each side must be as close to equal as possible.

 

There! Simple! That’s all we wanted back when the last squad nerf took place. But no, instead we have to see squads kicked out of matchmaking altogether, again.
