Let me remind you the era when build in Aim assistance has been reduced to non existent value, when everyone actually had to aim precisely to hit anything and how it was unplayable with ping 100+ and majority of “n00bs” could not hit anything even with 50 ping.
I was disappointed that scatter gun was added back, then I saw it was for Recon only, and I was soooooooo happy, I actually had a feeling if scatter gun was added back, it would be recon only.

There’s literally nothing you can do that would increase scattergun dps without increasing rfb dps by the same percentage.
comparing dps should be done with the base stats of a weapon. as soon as you start comparing weapons with different builds it becomes irrelevant

Am I the only one who sees nothing wrong in this patch? The visual bugs were a spectacle and really didn’t change my low FPS. New weapons seem balanced. PvE is PvE. What can I say. Good job devs. I doubt they’ll see it though.

My bit’s worth on the patch
Overall, I like it.
Scatter gun has been given a damage state and moved to a class where it can’t really be abused. It’s not a no-skill weapon, you need to know where to aim and how to fly the ship so you actually hit. Even with guided projectiles you’re not guaranteed a hit. You either learn how to range attack or risk your ship by getting up-close and personal.
Destructor has a little less DPS than i would’ve hoped, perhaps 2k rather than the 1.7-1.8k i’ve seen on a mk4 t5 build. Overall it is a nice weapon and i think it suits support roles far more than an attack role. Therefore suiting the guard.
Phaser i haven’t tried yet. I’m hoping the aim reticule has been fixed and also that self-damage is limited, it was far too easy to blow yourself up with the christmas one. Command ships suits it nicely, can’t imagine it being an easy gun to use but i can see that it will have it’s advantages. I’m sticking to singularity cannons for now though.
Dreadnoughts, well, as has been previously mentioned, it’s better to wait for a bug-free version than have a dreadnought that flops around like an injured fish when buttons are pressed. This isn’t goat conflict after all.
Otherwise, PvE is a bit more fun and means that my builds get stressed further, running a guard frigate in t3 PvE and not having the fear of your shields falling is… boring? That’s good for crimson haze, but i feel that ellydium will become too easy now. I never had a problem with it, get a good team who co-ordinate and you’re good. The only time i have problems is when t2 n00bs in syn 1 raptor mk2’s decide to sod off on their own business and get killed, leaving my syn 3 crus-s to deal with literally 20-30 enemies at once. Maybe at syn 9, but for now, ain’t happening, self destruct. (then the little nubs start swearing at you for loosing).
I find myself playing far more open world than other things. I also have a bug to report, which i will do.
I also have not experienced the graphical lag others seem to be. I run on a laptop with a quad core 1.17 ghz processor and onboard graphics. It does 40fps no problem on medium graphics. Were I to engage full boost and go to 3.3 (3.6 overclocked) i can get 60fps which is the cap. The GPU shares some processor power and sits in the chip itself. I usually run at 2.43 Ghz which gives 55-60 fps unless recording
As for now, keep up the work. Try not to make false promises to players. If the dreadnoughts are turning inside out when you try them, let the players know that you’re in difficulties implementing them, I’m sure they’d appreciate.

He is comparing the damage per second of two different weapons. When he makes a comparison where one build with weapon A has a high rate of fire and the other build with weapon B is a critical/pulse discharge build, the stats of each weapon change a lot, which makes it a pointless comparisson. Comparing builds is another matter :001j:
I think that there is only 1 problem for scatter gun on the recon… the recon go fast on beacon, but with the scatter gun it’s hard kill the drone that defend it… it need one bonus for the drones (for example +30% on the drones)… now is not good for the recon’s work…

It would have a bigger range if we would not have Prem Jericho T4/5 Guards - those have 3 CPU modules, and already can push 8km range on a destructor.
Phaser has devastating potential, but extremely hard application in real PvP situation (well i guess it can clear up beacons in Beacon Hunt mode :D) if it become apparent that it is much easier to use than what expected of it, it definitely will get nerfed in some areas.
