Still no Dreadnoughts…

 

Guns coming back is nice, though. Glad to see Scatter Gun won’t be on Covert Ops. Phasers on Command Fighters have to be easier to detonate or they won’t see any play, and Destructors on Guards makes the most sense, but it has to compete with Coil Mortar…

 

I like the fixes. Hopefully they play well.

Scatter Gun  = AIM gun (not good at all)

Phaser  if its with same mechanism before that hit the user, lets see

Radiation Beam = Pulsar gun

More autoAIM stuff :smiley:

Good changes overall. It’ll be interesting to see how everything ends up working out. I’m definitely looking forward to trying out the Scattergun with the new changes.

The real reason Scatter Gun was OP was because you could run it on CovOps and use Orion Complex for 15000 damage per shot. Limiting it to Recons which do not get a main weapon damage boost will help keep the issue to a minimum. 17 degree weapon spread will also make Scatter Gun builds a little more intensive on the CPU, which removes the ability to stack crit chances.

 

The other problem was the frame rate drop, hopefully that has been resolved.

I admit there’s quite a preference towards Russian players. Just not sure that applies here.

True, but there are hardly any RU pilots comparing to other regions in this hour, it is just it could be done 1-2 hour earlier, and would be enough time to get online for Sec Con or something of this sorts

No sorry, you are very wrong, in this game everyday we have more autoaim, and autoshots stuff, and IMO this is a big problem in a game, where the players begins to be secundary.

I’m not sure bug reports will be how most people respond to frame rate drops if that’s still an issue. And I don’t think it’s something you can just hotfix without removing the weapon entirely for testing.

Players are not remotely secondary. The closest thing to autoaim right now are the Sentry drones, which I agree need some looking into. Passive damage is an important factor in gameplay, it doesn’t need to be an all-skill system. If you want a game that’s pure skill, go play Chess. Some level of attack guidance is necessary, considering how fast some ships move and how difficult it is for newer players or players with slower reaction times to land a shot in those cases.

 

It’s not a comfortable thing for some players to admit, but some level of randomness/guidance/etc is often extremely important to games, and many games simply would fall apart without them.

I think, like u do, the main problems are the drone poplers, and fighters flying away at 700m/s. My complain is becouse now we have 1 more autoaim stuff, whats next?

Maybe you are right, but I dont like the help in a game.

 

PS. Yes I play chess.

Something is wrong with frame rates, I am getting 20-23fps in the Empire Hanger, and not much more than that in game.

My ships are all blurry in the hanger and it just seems like my GPU isn’t rendering the game as it was, battles are now a lag fest with such low frame rates.

1st, try that “auto aim” no skill gun in game, if anythign it is much harder to hit anything than with RFB now to have similar dmg level. It is pretty good vs straight line flying bricks drone poopers though

Same here. Visuals are doomed. Green, blurry, dark and whatnot.

 

  • Tried to go through a gate but the game stopped working and I got a Targem crash reporter window.

 

  • Now I can’t undock. Will look back later.

Note that the range on that gun makes it easy to defend against. 

No more going out of range of my weapon system inhibitor, and no more damage that can’t be defended against without it.
