A que pool in which tier need to be displayed at all times so people can know what to que up in. It used to be in game at one point.
Queing up in higher teirs is all but impossible, and when you get a match it is usually 2v2 or 3v3. That makes for a boring match.
Also this cost of in Game items is way to expensive. 30 dollars a ship is a lot. Prices need to drop. If you read steam reviews you will see it is the number one complaint by many.
Reduce the Cost and the grind. Its chasing players away. We need more people to kill so please reduce cost and grind.
Has anyone else noticed that implants are showing correctly in the hangar, but in game they are not applying?

My ships are malfunctioning. Can not put my finger on it, but it feels like T1/2. Implants I guess?
at least in pve i noticed that the module that lowers energy-consume of the afterburner was switched with the one that gives energy when you’re shot at
The devs are trying to gather data on implants, including the implants no one uses. They can’t balance implant unless different combinations are forced onto people.

For once, I’m giving the devs the benefit of the doubt on this one. It’s probably just due to rushed coding and the idea not being fully… baked.
I mean, between the graphical mess for some user’s HUD and the missing Hull buff for adaptive shield there’s a lot of bugs in this patch.
I’m actually holding back on a suggestion that I’ve wanted to make for awhile because I’m afraid with all the other things that need to be fixed, it would get overlooked.
What have you done with Tier 2 + 3 pve?! With random Pugs your losing 8 out of 10 matches. God. Make pve easier again. Please don’t balance your content on the basis of 4-man squads with purple fits.
Balance it on the basis of randoms. Then create pve Content for top notch squads with really good rewards because of high difficulty, but please don’t make normal pve content so freakin’ hard.
For Example Mission Blackwood Shipyard, in my new hydra 2 with green stuff, the punisher drops me in two seconds. You don’t even have time to react. And no, i’m not standing in the open without cover.
T3 Ships might have it alot easier, but what if you only have t2 in your team? Then you’re doomed or what?
This isn’t beta anymore. Are you even testing stuff before releasing it? Implants and invasion broken. In beta, it was ok to do updates like that, but after release?!
You’ll drive your player base away, if you don’t sort out bugs before updating and if you miss some, don’t wait a week to take care of severe bugs like Implants switching at random and hud in invasion being messed up.
Crews for GS? I thought you wanted to creat a game, that everyone can enjoy without advantages in battle for paying players?.
well, this is a good game with alot of potential. Haven’t seen anything like it out there, so i can undertand everybody who hangs on to the game.
It’s a load of fun to play. But in my oppinion, the dev’s are screwing it up with some decisions. Or let’s rather say the publisher.
The resources for programming invasion mode should have gone some where else. There are enough other games that do the sandbox alot better than SC. ATM Invasion is just something completely forgettable.
While I agree, that Invasion Mode could have been “kept in beta”, and major focus should lie on the main gameplay, the interface and maybe also community concerns or deployments (hotfixes for bugs like the ones we have now would be a great thing; but even organizing the team to able to do that needs a bit of work and time), having a dev actually answering in the forum in this thread gives this patch still a positive tenor for me.
So before I let drama and bitter clouds emotionally destabilize me around all the issues with the game at the present, I rather not cry about being doomed yet.
Even if tho other games have better sandboxes, those games lack features this game has. Sandbox mode is something some people rather seem to enjoy. I don’t think it was a complete mistake to build it.
So if someone says “I want 0.8 back!” I do have to say, well, but not all of it, right? Some things were in 0.8 series, which were bad back then; of course we could also go back to 0.7 where these bad things didnt exist, but there were bad things back then, too. So I seriously ask myself, what exactly are the features, that could be re-integrated, because I am hell of sure, if tomorrow is a rollback to any previous version, people would say: oh wait, that was not what I wanted. They would also realize, their own gameplay has changed, and suddenly all those cool things back then would become scary stuff.
We are all addicted, if we spend 14 15 pages of discussion about a patch.

Of course there are things about our preferred versions we would rather not bring along for the ride, but I think the core point is that when people say “I want 0.8 back!” or somesuch they are essentially saying “despite it’s flaws, the game you made 18 months ago was an overall superior product to what you are forcing on us now.”
We expect the game to improve, and overall it has not. It has become blatantly anti-player and Pay to Win in its progression. Some would say that the “streamlining” has crossed into outright dumbing down. It’s objectively true that the developers are now anti-squad in their thinking, and actively punish people flying in groups.
I for one would gladly welcome the old matchmaking back where 4-man squads were matched with randoms. The fact you occasionally have to stop queuing until ESB’s killsquad get into game or switch tier is a small price to pay for T3 and T4 being full of high-quality players.
yeah, i would like the matchmaking back, where a four man squad was nocked up a tier and had to play against randoms (not a 4 man squad of higher tier). But you got fast games. I don’t know why people complained so much, the matches were more balanced then, than they are today. Yes, it was challenging to fight a tier above, but doable with team work.
But, without locked tiers, nobody wanted to squad up with 3/4 man squads, so that didn’t cut it either.
With the 0,8 Matchmaking, squads were just put against randoms and then people started crying about kill squads with no chance to fight them. I wouldn’t enjoy that either.
So, if you cater to pugs, then the players that whant to squad up are annoyed, if you cater to the squading players, the pugs are annoyed.
I wouldn’t know how to fix the problem, but yeah, atm, squading up is more of a guarantee for longer waiting times or no match at all.
Maybe let the matchmaker balance with Skillrating? Often enough, i’ve seen all the high SR players on one side and the normal players on the other. If one side has a four man squad, put high SR players on the other to compensate?
