I’ve been playing casually since May and I haven’t spent enough money on this game to slam the devs for anything they’ve done or not done to it.

Unfortunately, as proven by many other F2P games, “It’s a beta” is always the excuse.

 

Devs & publishers analyse player activity and monetary statistics after every update, and if they see more players coming in and more money being spent on the game, they have little incentive to rollback any changes.

Went from something like 1500 to 600.

 

This patch is the redeemer. In a perverted sort of way.

Disintegrator damage was increased? If anything it was a bit overpowered…As to squads, that was a really bad idea!

Well, it does indeed sound like they have a lot of work to do in order to please the community.

 

This game surely has a lot of potential and the devs will have to listen, or face a dead end.

Squads

Maximum size reduced to 3 pilots

 

Completely unnecessary. And conflicting with how progression works.

 

Matchmaker

Ships of 10-11 ranks now have reduced probability of getting into battle with ships of ranks 13-15

 

Why only for ships of rank 10-11 ? You think the problem isnt as heavy in lower ranks ? cause its even more severe in lower tiers.

 

Added a new medal:  Slayer of Immortals

To receive the medal you have to destroy a ship 3 ranks higher than yours

 

You shouldve added this earlier whilst i was still playing T.T

 

Armament
Some weapons’ range now scales with ship tier:

T1: range is 90%

T2: range is 100% (basic range)

T3: range is 115%

T4 range is 125%

T5 range is 135%

 

Seems good for a sense of progression at first sight but i think this should be the reverse way, its already camping behind asteroids on higher tiers, that way needing to close in could be re-introduced to higher tiers. Besides even more difference added to problem in higher tier overpowering lowers in mixed matchmaking.

 

Singularity Generator:

Time to overheating reduced by 15%

Cooling time increased by 18%

 

When will you do something about its damage ? As if when any fighter refusing to use a beachball is getting bashed at for being Ace ?

What was the Torpedo speed before the patch? (the frigate’s missile, not the jericho)

Can say this for sure already: I liked the old Gauss sound a lot better!

PPS: Positron has no sound atm. Weapon ranges apparently unchanged. No double synergy on elite ships as far as I can tell.

For the guys having issues with percentages:

Your wish has already been granted at numbers you asked for. You will be gaining 40% free synergy when compared to a normal ship that isn’t maxed out. This is because any maxed ship earns double synergy to start with and premium ships start with maxed synergy.

Positive update but not good enough. I’ll take it nonetheless for the time being but it sure is not good enough to warrant new Premium ship purchases. Except maybe T5 Prems. Only sales numbers will tell.

admittedly they keep imbalancing things using flawed logic looks like. but there are some subtle balances that goes uncredited here and there
