I ever play in expert mod, and iam very good. But the camera issue is get me frusted becaus you cant see well the surround.
So where in the patch notes explains why im now forced to have my camera jammed up into the thrusters of my ship instead of back a bit to where i can actually see to navigate and engage targets with my frigs?
and then ArqueiroX okay … Good to me very strange that new camera mode more I’m starting to get used the more I did not like it and the idea of breaking the extraction estate
On a positive side, less frigates are played because they’re largely unplayable with the camera. Which has a net positive impact even though camera itself is absolutely atrocious.
that is a problem for me as they are the ONLY ships i even have… i dont fly anything else. my setup doesnt really allow for me to zip around in a fighter or interceptor… i have enough problems doing that with the frigs and now its just plain impossible for me to fight… i basicly have to fly foreward…if i want to move left, right, up, down, back or anything…there is no doing that because i just cant see where im going let alone try to see what i might try to shoot. it might be fine for the smaller ships but the frigs are the closest thing you have to capital ships…they dont turn on a dime and arent low profile…
Game keeps crashing. non stop >.> anyone else having this issue?
So…across-the-board Interceptor buff, including a significant buff to Covert Ops when they’re already murdering everything in PvP *and* what amounts to a healing buff for Engineer frigates? Ugh.
I like the new patch. Engineers needed to lose the extra guns since they really did everything too well. I didn’t really have much of an issue with the new camera, though i think it was better before. No need to have a big ship clogging the screen, but it is perfectly playable. I have to laugh at all the people complaining about the loot system. Does no one understand that they vastly increased drop rates? In effect, it probably works out the same. It’s just some people have this weird loot obsession from playing to many MMORPG’s (a massive experiment in brainwashing in my opinion, getting people to do boring xxxx for rewards). The only difference is that you see a possibility of a loot drop which would just have been pure junk in the previous patch. The interceptor hps buff is a good thing since too many just exploded instantly in the previous patch. We also got a great new map and fixed detonation game. I think people will complain and threatened to quit no matter what they put in their patches. Anyone who would actually quit a fun game like this to play some boring MMORPG (kill 10 wolves all day and get your biscuit!) is probably not the target audience anyway.
FOV was apparently OP. I absolutely detest the new camera angles. Gamebreaking IMO, and needs to be reverted immediately.
Boss, try playing PvE for loot and having the purple drop give you credits instead.
PvE used to be a decent way for new guys in tiers to equip their ships before taking a dip into the pvp shark tank. Not any more.
And damn it developers, didnt you remember the insurance system was put in to prevent crashes from bankrupting players and making the account unplayable? Guess you forgot WHY you did things in the first place,
Now a DC can stick a player with ship repair costs and NO income, had it happen to me once few patches back, and someone in chat was complaining the same thing happened to him. And DCs/crashes have been very frequent as of last patch.
Insurance. Stops accounts from being jammed by DC/crash generated bankruptcy.
Bring it back.
Are you ever going to fix the Assertion failed crash problem??? The game has been unplayable all day.
If my loot is going to break, I rather not know about it in the first place.
And damn it, insurance is important due to crash generated bankruptcy, especially with the frequent crashes these days. You need it back before some poor new player DCs with all his ships damaged and can’t repair them/use them.
Older players (like me) can swap out ships from our stock, but for new guys, what they have is sometimes ALL they have, and at durability 0%, that is it for them. No more game.
I collect ships, so not a problem for me, but spare a thought for the new guys.
I mean, I understand that there is a language barrier and all that, but are the developers dense?
Haven’t they seen that the player base keeps shrinking with each patch and between them, with these alterations alienating old players, new players, and preventing spread of word? I realize they might be seeing new accounts being made, but so far it hasn’t stood out as much of a help to keep players around even in prime time.
What was the point exactly of this patch?
I suppose I will say that as a player who stuck to the Hydra 2 for a long while now I kept seeing neat changes as replacing the sniper gun for the combat drones, now altered for automatically spawning drones with possibility of repairing allies shields (Or something on those lines), which is pretty much fitting the bill for the kind of role I want to have on the field. In that part, I’m content.
On the other hand however:
- Camera zoom
WHY!? What is the point of this? I mean, I can understand that one point of this is to block people’s view in a more wide area, but now I got half my screen with frigate butt even after zooming out. I can’t properly fly this thing and I obviously lost a fair bit of surroundings awareness. Is this to force people to use the radar or something? I think most would agree they were happy with the previous settings.
- Looting alterations
Really? You think -this- is going to make me pay for your game? Each and every patch you have proved to me, and many other players, that you cannot be trusted. You will make alterations indiscrimenately and to your entire discretion, revamping things in such brutal ways that you’re halfway close to be playing an entirely different game from what it was on the start.
If that wasn’t bad however, you want to try and force people to pay now so that they can be on top. it’s not having “a little edge”, it’s actually be on top because if you could still find the occasionally fitting Military part to make up for the whole of a Mk. 3 you still didn’t had access to, now that’s going to be a rarity, and forget about Experimentals.
You are -not- leveling out the play field of the newbies. Because of your inability to balance Tiers 3 and 4, a lot of people choose to focus on T2. Suited up old players will repeatedly find new players and dominate them with gear and superior skills, and you’re barely letting them pick up a gun.
Hope the devs are getting enough money from somewhere, but at this point it’s certainly not my pocket.
- GUI alterations
So instead of using a hotkey to reveal the full stats of a ship, now it’s either brief or full? A hotkey to see the bonuses from… I don’t even know what but I don’t really care.
When people were complaining that they didn’t knew what leveling up the ship did it’s because they wanted something a bit more defined, as in what were the improvements from one level to another, or what to expect the next level. If all you give is a sum of values… it’s pretty useless.
Will perhaps give credit for the equipment list alteration, mostly because there being several models of one given item can make that list of equipment quite clunky, and this way you go to what you want, expand that type of equipment and contemplate values – But that’s a pretty minor boost for all the other losses.

I know it’s not from this patch, if there were changes that I did not noticed taking place until things started to go wrong or it’s some error but: What happened to Bomb Detonation? We’re missing a map at least too. With one less game mode, combat recon missions seem a lot more frequent and while they’re occasionally fun they certainly don’t contribute much for contracts, and some people just don’t want to play Captain, on top of which they suicide to relief themselves of the role or to end the game quick for easy money. Ever going to consider that in the matchmaking? Like selecting what modes you want to play?
My thoughts! Loot is totally wonky… It’s depressing to see a wonderful purple loot turn into trash even when you pay 3-500 Gold (money) to try and catch it. If you pay gold it should be an AUTOMATIC 100% chance of successful extraction.
Engineers can’t 1 shot anyone and I guess that’s OK but man can interceptors melt you now. Everyone will probably just switch to interceptor now and say forget it to anything else.
Close up view is interesting. Probably just take some getting used to. All in all it’s a fun patch! I want a crafting system next! AND different color cursor so I don’t lose it all the time. Loot is probably the most annoying for me out of this patch. I know that it was rare to get purple before but now this is just a tease! Especially when you spend the gold and you still get stupid rubble.
Are you ever going to fix the Assertion failed crash problem??? The game has been unplayable all day.
Devs are looking into issue. Your reports will be appreciated. As for me - I don’t have any crash problems… May be this issue needs additional info to fix.
It may help to lower the graphics/shadows.
It may help to lower the graphics/shadows.
I’m running at max settings.
My system specs:
I5 3570k
ATI Radeon 6950 2gb
8GB ram
hdd+ssd
Absolutely no problems… Even with OBS running for streaming/video
Ive noticed the crashes take place when you are doing too many things at once… I only crashed when in my intereceptor, flying turning and cloaking at the same time. It has nothing to do with shadows or anything as all my stuff is already turned to its lowest settings.
Devs…
Just because some people want a cockpit mode, DOES NOT mean everyone wants to get forced into it.
This patch is unplayable IMO because I can’t work with my ships how I used to. I loved the 3rd person camera because I could spend less time orienting myself. In the match I played earlier I loved some of the speed changes, but due to my camera I constantly was disoriented because I can’t zoom out.
Thanks for the feedback and try to stay calm.
We will try to adjust the camera.
Why does it take this many players voicing discontent before something is done?
I’m glad the camera is getting fixed, but for crying out loud, are we going to have to riot every time we want something changed?
