A minefield can deal up to 16000 dmg and have a large radius. A proxy mine deal 8000 dmg and have a small radius that can be more easily avoided.
the amount of times i die to a random mine in empty space declares that to be false

Agreed. Normal mines are easy to spot and avoid. The recon mines are far harder to spot though easier to avoid. Not to mention the mine does over 10k damage which is an insta kill against several ships, or close to insta kill.
I wish they’d make enemy mines red and allied mines green. I hate going to a beacon and not knowing which team the mines belong to.
Dyng to a random mine in empty space essentially never happens. You either hit a mine someone placed in a tactical spot, or you are a dumbass who is spiralling around the recon without making constant adjustments to the second dimension. It’s pretty damn obvious he’s dropping mines when you do that.
I think I died to random mine a total of two times in my entire SC career. Dying to a tactically placed mine on obvious approach on the other hand, yeah, many times.
After the initial happiness about the new patch (it seems to work for me) comes slowly but sure the resignation.
MM still feels odd and it still feels like being punished for socializing…
There are still major imbalances between ships.
So all in all: Its a good patch, but the foundation is rotten and needs to be renewed, since more or less all problems from the last patch were carried over.
What I think should be changed is the Guard nerf… My Neruon Zealot was 40k survivability before 0.9.9 now its 35k… This is complete bogus! The guard is supposed to receive enemy damage from many ships. If the survivability has been lowered this isn’t possible anymore. I think something should be changed…
Question: What was changed with the recent hotfix? I were doing others things, then when I came back to my PC I found that Steam downloaded a 3.7MB patch at 05:58 GMT-4
PS: I didn’t see it in this thread, so excuse me if it’s already explained somewhere else.

How can you see that? o.O
And after playing a bit earlier. The HUD is really bad to work with(The beacons HUD especially) and the new font is just making my eyes bleed…
I’d suggest a revert on both cases.
I’ve been playing a couple of PvE Blackwood T3 and… I’m receiving the exact same amount of synergy as last night (playing with the same 3 players from my corp, same ships, around the same scores). Usually I got 6k (from 6000 to 6500) of synergy, now I should be receiving 7k and a bit due my 20% “Fleet Strength”, but nope, still 6k. Did they reduce the synergy gain, again? Or the “bonus” is not working at all?
yeah, it would be nice to get an official answer on this one. If they’re talking about a boost and other Hand ninja nerf the synergy gain, then i kinda feel fooled.

I’ve been playing some PvP matches - with my 50% fleet strength, I should notice something. But I don’t.
Hmm, so it’s probably not working. I played a couple matches as well, and i didn’t receive more synergy then the last few days before the patch.
How about a hotfix on the issue devs?
Something I noticed that I didnt see in the patch notes is that all color prices are now the same rather than the popular colors being jacked up over the others. But I think they raised the overall price of colors to make up for it though…

You’re right, the colors are all at 120 GS now. That’s a good change
Shows 180 for me

Sorry, I were checking with a T1… Yeah, the values are now standarized by Rank. But Black and Red are now at the same price as the rest.
Ah, didnt know the prices were rank based.

My own Fleet Strength is very low (3%) and the synergy I gain in PvE is still the same than before.
So it seems the bonus to synergy doesn’t work, at least for PvE.
I’m happy about the credit increase to Mk.2 loot, time will tell if credit gain levels are where they were. Although, the 10% reduction in drop rate seems to be an understatement from what I’ve seen. Have yet to see if the loyalty drop will be enough to account for the massive loyalty prices, my guess is that they won’t, on the other hand at least its a change in right direction.
Sad to see no matchmaker changes made, still don’t feel like playing in a squad, tho now i have something to do in the meantime… level my t1 and t2 ships to max synergy.
i don’t understand why guard resists have been reduced on shields.
that was never their main problem imho. its the ubertanky hull
proxy mines are fine, zap. so is parasitic, but the buff on parasitic wasn’t really needed in the last patches, does not make much difference however.
Shields on Fed Guards is weak, but try to kill a Crus-S even in another Guard prior to this patch and you might find out why shield resists have been lowered. Game seems pretty well balanced now imho. One might think Intys got OP with the nerf to Guards, but they keep blowing up the same. Problem is a pair CovOps + Recon, but that’s just playing style and nothing to do with ship survivality.
