Shields on Fed Guards is weak, but try to kill a Crus-S even in another Guard prior to this patch and you might find out why shield resists have been lowered. Game seems pretty well balanced now imho. One might think Intys got OP with the nerf to Guards, but they keep blowing up the same. Problem is a pair CovOps + Recon, but that’s just playing style and nothing to do with ship survivality.

The problem is not in the resist of the shield, it’s the shield HP => with this stupid module that gives you +35% HP on your shield (and that you can stack), the guard frig gains so much survivability that it becomes unplayable.
Nerf that module, remove it and the guard problem will be solved !!
Nerfing the guard resists has only done one thing : the T1 Jericho Frig (shield resists are 0/-60/-30) can’t tank a thing and is becoming useless. Good luck to new players that want to try to level up this branch …
I’m unsure about the guard changes, I loaded up my Crus S with a 6/9 synergy level and I think it’s survivability went up by about 1k. That’s not really a nerf.
I tried it a few matches… The ones where I didn’t dc all the time… Survivability has, indeed, skyrocketed, despite the paper value saying I lost 5k hp.
Anti, you still haven’t answered my question on page 8… What happens to customization options when we sell a ship? I mean, I can already predict the answer, but I’m hoping I’m wrong and didn’t just throw money out the window…
This is a 10" screen, 3 year old Toshiba. There is NOTHING this thing can run, not even minesweeper. Trust me.
I feel for you. But this game runs even on intel’s atom and AMD brazos chips, which is just a step above toaster. You should consider nagging your IT for upgrade of just BYOD.
Just tested the fleet strength Bonus with a new account. I have 32% and had a rating of about 1500-2000 in the pve Mission.
I got 4044 synergy
Now with a new account and 0 Fleet Bonus, i had also 1500-2000 Points in a pve Mission and i get 3600 Synergy.
Thats a gain of about 11% Synergy with 32% Fleet strength.
Is this working as intended? Or is each % Fleet strength supposed to be 1% more synergy?
Edit: Ingame it says, my fleet strength is increasing synergy gain by 32%. That’s definitely not true in that case. Can we have a Statement on the matter?
1 pt. of Fleet Strength equals to 1% of synergy gain. Also, you most probably had a bonus for the first fight in day etc etc. We have checked the system, it works as intended.
I really like the idea of fleet strength and its bonuses to Synergy gain. It gives a good incentive to fully synergyze ships, therefore bringing people out of their comfort zone and try ships more, help the microbalance of the individual ships maybe too.
I also like the balance at the moment so far. Except the Speed/Energy thing, that seems still be a bit off.
The Kite has also a bit more playroom thanks to his new buff, and the additional shield module. The Eagle-B however (still without CovOps Role buff) feels a bit lower now and really has energy issues, but it still has 2 CPUs, which still make it a great ship.
The events were also positive.
I am not sure if I witnessed this, but are the microlocators now in the indicator (like ships?) They shouldnt be.
I like the fact, that Drones have leading indicators now, makes the decision easier as Ceptor to help my frigmate get rid off them, even under stress.
I also wanted to mention, that the Squad menu should not contain “remove from friendslist”. That is still pretty annoying. Friends-actions belong to the friends tab. I know, this probably needs a suggestion thread.
Generally, I am relieved. Synergy seems right now, Loyalty seems just a bit too expensive, Artifacts come in orderly fashion. All that I see a bit undervalued still is credits. Credit earning could need a slight buff, still.
The HUD issues are work in progress anyway, so great patch.
For starters, the font on target names needs to be changed back. It’s painful to look at.
Then we need a more clear indicator of what we have currently locked by the targeting computer of the ship. Right now, unless you adjust HUD options so that whatever is locked on has clearly different set of displayed items than anything else, you’re not going to be able to easily tell that apart. In the other system, you get extra set of red borders on things you locked on to. That needs to come back.
Then there’s the fact that new red borders for things are almost impossible to see. More often than not I find myself seeing a ship on radar, staring at the direct and not seeing it for a while because borders are almost invisible against background. I’m seriously considering turning on names or health bars on everything just to be able to see things, even though it clutters UI in a massive fashion.

I have noticed the same in PVE…Getting shot from right in front of me, not able to see its projectiles. and not his borders.
And just nearly impossible to find the enemy until i start moving and see 1 of its projectiles.
At least his infinite number of alts stopped asking how to sell them.

I miss the second square at the active target too, sometimes I am just confused what the hell I am targeting. Specially realized it with the Witch Hunt Missiles going somewhere all the time for me

A lot of us older players who started playing before the rehauls of the ship tree have a boatload of 1/x synergy ships sitting there being useless. That and a lot of ships we’ve actually flown sitting at ~1/2 max total synergy (as two separate patches increased total synergy a ship can have by about 100%).
Selling these is not a bad choice if you need money. I’m a bit of a completionist so I won’t, but I can see people with more relaxed attitude selling all of these ships.

T1 ship takes about 20-40k? synergy to make it max lvl, some free synergy invested in those t1s will do a long run for you in synergy gains
And amount of money you gain is not worth imho, just sell your T3/T4 mk2s you will gain so much more
