The settings are like this due to amount of pilots in que. As soon as there are more this situation will improve.
Then the MM will never change because, let’s be honest, no one wants to play with the MM the way it is now… In fact, you’re only losing pilots with each passing day ever since 0.9.0 came out. And if the trend continues, the game won’t reach live at all. Just as I predicted it.
Well, the way you do it it is not actually against kill squads.
Actually it kills the kill squads, BUT also kills people who just started that want to play with their friends the same way. Example 4 pilots T1 just finding out the game and being matched vs mix T2 and T3 pilots …
That is me. My friends are still playing because they think it is an awesome game, but we play only 2 men squads, and sync our game search, so we can play decent games. Because playing in a 4 man squad was not fun for them (I can handle, but I already know a bit about the game)
Well, matchmaking system wasn’t fixed, now is even worse… So I guess I’ll keep grinding/farming in PvE until next update.

Where from? Each other? The closest we’ve had on the forums is “it’s okay but…” That’s average at best, not positive.
Honestly, it smacks of self-delusion. Devs don’t like negative feedback, so ignore it and pretend people approve of the patch.
You want to see what REAL positive feedback looks like? Give us the MM we want. Fixed tiers, squads don’t get shunted up and instead get queued with the better players of their own tier. THAT would get positive feedback!

Because the playerbase is SMALL. You understand the concept of the word “SMALL”, yes?
It’s when balance is disrupted because there aren’t enough players in the game. The fact that the devs are making decisions based on such a small pool of data means they do NOT know what the players want OR need, for that matter. Do they even care about the game,a t this point? That’s still my concern.
This is an interesting way to go about match making. I sincerely hope that this system does not make it into the final release of the game.
Often times matchmaking that takes pilot skill into effect results is player frustration since the auto-balancing will pound good players until they start losing regularly and quit for the day.
That being said I understand why this MM could be necessary with the low number of players currently in the queue. For instance if it was restricted to ONLY playing with your tier as it has in the past the chances of Bot battles goes up drastically and you probably can’t pull the statistics you need to try and help the game.
The reason your player base is upset by these changes are because you’re taking your most dedicated players (those who play enough to get purple and good ship ratings and victory percentages) and making the game harder for them to play and enjoy.
World of Tanks MM has never taken pilot skill into effect which results in some games with stacked teams and some games where its even. The randomness of the MM (with favorable matches for new Tanks etc) leads to less frustration. It still has mixed tiers but its only 2 above and 2 below (ie: ranks 5-7 or ranks 2-4). If you feel that a 4 person squad is too powerful in a 12 on 12 matchup put squads back down to 3 people instead of just jacking their MM up SO HIGH that their chances of winning are less than if they solo queued despite the teamwork advantage. There are a lot of people squaded up who are not elite players and just end up facing the elite and getting stomped.
Great news everyone!! T1’s with purple and in a 2 man squad are viable against T3 ships (according to the MM). Which means NOTHING HAS CHANGED!!!
For some reason i dont know which, the MM things that 2 players with purples in a T1 ship are a match for T3 ships, that have twice or triple the survivability, much more dammage and MUCH more active modules… So again, devs dont know what they are doing!!!
The vouchers increased a little, havent got a voucher drop so far in T1 or T2 PVP so i cant tell if the drops are really that good but from what i’ve seen the grind stays the same.
I had to entirely move to T3…while T3 vs early T4 difference is not very big, T3 have bigger advantage from T2 due to a lot of resists and additional active modules.
Say… kill squad has one rating, and newbie squad has another. Matchmaking takes this rating into account and adds solo players - weaker to killsquads, stronger to newbie squads - as total squad power/rating should be the same.
So we will always have to carry clueless pilots in our games? It has been frustrating enough already to get them time to time, seeing our squad do ALL the work, or them just feeding the enemy, and MM can never be sure to balance this enough because player base and different possibilities are so low, you might get the same guy on your team ruining your game over and over again, I prefer it to be just full random and based on ships as WoT, now this is just stupid, I refuse to carry every battle, no, just no sorry and NO.
I want my W/L ratio to reflect our squad skill and teamwork, and not be decided on your stupid system, that punishes our good work and puts IDIOTS on our team INTENTIONALY. What will I say to new players and recruits for our corporation? They expect a lot from high rated players and corporations, so what will I say when we face tougher teams when we squad and stand no chance and our win is depending on pure LUCK? That we suck? That NASA is not so good anymore? xxxx THAT! THE GAME IS BROKEN. FIX IT!
