Star Conflict OBT v.0.9.8 update1 Discussion

 

 

I have never seen so many ESB-Players actually doing PvE like nowadays… In some cases they have full blue fitted ships in all tiers, 50Mio+ Credits and enough vouchers to insta-blue about 20 Modules. 

Yet they do PvE instead of PvP? Not to mention that ESB is a PvP-Oriented Corp…

 

So I dont think they want to grind… they are just refusing to play under (mechanic-wise) broken settings. 

 

 

This isn’t just ESB, it’s most top corps. NASA’s T5 group that I flew with has mostly either quit or is doing PvE as well. It’s not about grind or MM, it’s about not wanting to play guard conflict.

C’mon guys…we all know that those DSR addicted childs are just avoiding to make the stupid dsr going down…lol

The few unsquaded esb i see in game camp in secure places not caring too much about the mission objectives and going for the easy kills…

To me this means the MM is much better than it was lol

I know, most Guard Pilots fail to press the 3 Buttons to assure the IWIN.  :facepalm:

Seems to be too hard for Healers, too. So its somewhat fair. 

I see that many of you (nothing with u m8, it’s just first post i found tallking about this) still blame on guards…

Well i never killed so many guards as after 0.9…their surviability has been brutally nerfed and i’m happy about that…

and once more…those stupid nerfing modules are completely useless…have u tried them…i got a guard and being a solo player i removed those useless masking thing and propulsion inhibitor time ago after 0.9 release…much better with surviavl modules :wink:

Let’s also point out that I am increasingly seeing 3-4 pilots from the same corp matchmaking solo at the same time. I know they are solo because they are not always on the same team.

This kind of behaviour is indicative of poorly designed matchmaking.

well this doesn’t really look so scandalous to me coz, from what i’m seeing, very often those unsquaded corp m8s got often very different dsr :wink:

Those times are quite rare tho, since its slowness is really boring me. 

Note: This is not a good build, its just a trololo-im-faster-than-the-tempest-build.  

Also note: I dont need AMS, since Jerry LRFs died the same day the patch hit. 

The Tier split was already pre decided by the Devs … Maybe just get rid of the tier system and go off ranks ?

That’s quite similar to mine, exept for the great stuff u got there…mine is only green build…but yes agree it’s booooring after all! Anyway i don’t even use the propulsion inhibitor…i prefer a surviaval module :wink:

Actually not using Prop. Inhibitor is a bad choice, especially for that ship. Pulsar on and Ints and fighters cant run away (except recons or VERY fast ships… oh, wait… there are no very fast ships anymore).

I don’t even know wth happened there. It LOOKS speed-fitted, but the armour mods contradict each other… Sensor Range is… Double rep… Everything in that fit makes me want to cry or laugh out loud. Or both.

Most ESB folks, as do most of other top tier people don’t really care about DSR. Some do, but considering that you can grind up DSR to about 1600 in a day worth of squad (currently guard IWIN, before pretty much any squad action and even solo to an extent) playing from any DSR, there isn’t much to care about.

That’s the nature of ELO. It’s really easy to gain it if you go below your actual skill level.

 

It’s a pretty common misconseption among new people entering the tier that we do care about it beyond telling “who’s bad, who’s not” in the initial loading window. Fact is, it’s so easy to farm up there’s no real reason to care about it unless you’re pumping it up well above 1700 for some reason.

It’s a guard. It doesn’t have to be min-maxed for success. It’s OP enough to destroy opposition with a massively suboptimal fit, so long as it has the staple mods, weapons and a pilot who knows how to switch shield polarity. Zap runs a standard coil mortar, EM torpedo pulsar death machine. Sensor range is so that his speed spec doesn’t run into ambushes he can’t get out of. Armor mods are because it’s a speed specced fed ship, so he wants max speed.

Look at your RIDICULOUS MM in action. (i am  team left)

 

Take a good look at 3 of our members bringuing only 1 ship and two of them, the ones flying only 1 ship in hangar using T2’s ships. On our side no T4’s, but at least 2 T2’s. On the enemy’s side, T4’s, people with insane DSR’s and lots of ships, while we were stuck with 2 retardeds with 1 T2 ship each on a match that has T4’s!!

 

Btw, we lost that match, how? Because after a few mins the guys on the other team (ones with huge DSR) killed almost everyone.

This isnt a match making system, this is a slaughter making system. I dont even have curses left to express my rage against the stupid developers we have on this game.

Good analysis. As I said, its not a good build, yet it has enough IWIN buttons to dominate. So wth…  

Addendum: I use the Rotation, because it takes a long time to slow that ship down(unless you have the chance to lithobreak) , so turning is the better alternative. It also allows me to brawl it out with better guards.

The only thing they did, is to match Teams vs. Randoms and give the randoms better ships. 

MM cant calculate stupidity tho…

I cared about dsr till a few days ago when I realized that the game punishes you for going for objectives over kills. The only time I have seen my dsr go up is when I get kills and dont die, even when Im on the losing team. But If I score at the top of my team due to beacon captures/bomb plants and die a few times then my dsr goes down. Its a joke that I get punished for playing the objectives while everyone else who just goes for easy kills gets rewarded. Its no wonder team work in this game is extremely lacking in some games.
