I think balance is ok…Talking about balance (playng T4…a nd matched vs t5 too) i like balance atm so much…Just fixed couple of builds and really guys, i think balance is really really great…!!! I can finally get rid of guards (thanks for the survival nerf)…tacklers are not a piece of crap anymore and very tactical ships, ECM still very annoyng to me in 1vs1 but not OP anymore…
Devs did a great job there to be honest…
Still some fixes needed about grinding, prices, and MM…but i’m going to like this patch very much

Yeah, right, I get it. Nerf even more the interceptors so we can have even more LRFs and Guards in each map, c’mon, we can’t stop until a full 12v12, 24 frigates, no other class, 0 skills, everything low paced, more n00b friendly, less competitive, no short range encounters. Go go go!

i find the increase in slowing field was a mistake, fed guards already could use it pretty well to move the slowing bubble through the battlefield and have the energy levels to keep it running with AB.
recon shield zap buff did not change much, only made it a bit more friendly.
covert ops feels a bit too undervalued atm. given they actually can counter ECMs, so i still hate ecm heavy fights.
in terms of balance, as i said, things are indeed a bit better, but guards should not be the answer, also while i like the tackler becoming a threat, i really think they can instapop ceptors now very well, but i dislike the increase of the take-your-hands-from-the-keyboard effect, i really whish there was a bit more to this.
the biggest issue of this game is the lack of fun in terms of epic grind.

How do we know what ship it goes to? I want a picture of my ship and the slot it goes in or an icon I recognize.

#2 When I loot and I gett eh results of the loot it ocvers up other loot DOTS. Put the info on the side - away from the loot DOTS.
#3 The lower level qeusts. They have loot that isnt applicable. How do I cancle those quests?

I think it would be helpful if when you get a purple upgrade kit, it tells you the details about what item it is for. Its annoying to not know what module its for, especially since so many of them sound the same. Also, I really hope that fed is going to get buffed in this next patch. Ive been playing fed since i first picked up this game, so now Im rank 12 and I play mostly frigates/support roles. Im nowhere near rank 12 in the other factions (rank 7 in both emp and jer), and the game is way too grindy now for me to bother going through T3. Fed’s only defense right now is speed, but that isnt really good enough. We need our guards and engies to survive for more than 5 seconds if we’re not behind a rock
The funny part is that your team had at least 3 T4 ships, but these are the “rushers” pushed back into t3, hehe

When you get purple loot and the option to salvage it, if you put your mouse cursor over the upgrade kit, it will say cleary the name of what kind of thing it does upgrades.

I’m a frig pilot and it takes skill to properly fly one… the most an Engineer where you have to be on first row and you are marked by the whole team as primary… Regarding Guards, the only T3 OP inty is Jericho ECM,… it ties your hands and put a big stick up your hull… the others just blow up cause I weaken them with main weapon and finish them with Octopus or pulsar if too close. If something needs a buff are the Engineer drones or give the ship the ability to carry close combat countermeasures modules like mines or even pulsar.

No that we have move away from straight tiers… the question I have is that if I am in a 4-8 rank battle does that mean now my implants 7-8 will work ?
As it use to be… if you flew T2… all your T3 implants should not be in effect as it was a higher tier.
Now that the battles are determined by the rank. Which also means…if you follow logic … If I am in a squad of T3 ships and I end up against T4’s … then at least shouldn’t you have the utilization the highest implants in accordance to the level of ships your facing?
I realize that it would be considered a change … of using higher implants working on lower rank ships.
I mean sheesh the people that have highest rank ship that is actually in a higher tier have the use of their implants which is an additional advantage.

I just thought of something, since a lot of the module/ship problems in this game are related to certain bonuses(guards range increase, commands range increase etc.) would it not be possible to remove ship bonuses? That way balancing would become a hell of a lot easier I’d imagine. And then give all ships in the same tier the same slot amounts, so the difference between ships becomes the slot layout, instead of having some useless ships out there.(For example: Garm)
