- Sure I can solo the xxxx with my CovOps, no problem. Yet maybe you should READ what I wrote: T5 Jerry Guards are broken OP and dont you think that the Prop. Inhibitor Buff and all the fancy stuff that was buffed for Guards is a bit much, while on the other hand reducing the speed flat through all classes? Guess which ships profit the most of that change… Oh, right, the slow ones.
- And Yes, I love to stay in my Tier, speak T4, where all the unexperienced players are too, ya know, its the n00b-tier and its fun to smurf there.

1)T5 jerry guards are broken for sure, everyone agrees and me among them…I don’t really bother mass inhibitor and the signature mask thing…i Tried that useless stuff on my guard 3-4 times and switched back to my old resitance modules coz they are much more useful on a guard…IMO guards have benn nerfed…b4 patch i couldn’t ever kill a guard on my own with my t4 covop…now i can. Guard are weaker now.
2 you know better than me that t4 goes form 10 to 12 and flyng a lvl 12 full synerigized t4 ship and facing a lvl 10 not synergized yet it’s not that dificault

It sounds reasonable cos they could get only descendent cues with weaker or at least same lvl players atm…
It seems there is a desire from the Devs for players to get good at the game and to learn how to play - Error said we should be helping then to learn.
My question there is “how are you going to learn to be good if the game keeps ‘protecting’ you from good players?”
Surely, players learn how to do well by watching what skilled players do and seeing first hand how that achieves victory? It took me a long time to move into T3, but that was because I knew NOT to rush into it! I knew to go slow, save up / rank up loyalty to get Mk III and stockpile Military gear, not just barrel in with Mk I.
My biggest issue was, and still is, that even when trying to be smart the tier transitions are unforgiving. Not because there are 4-man squads on the other side, but because I have to effectively star over with my equipment! Once I got mostly blue gear and Rank 8-9 ships I stopped caring about the 4-man T3 squads.
Want people to move up? Stop “protecting” them from squads and give them the gear to match them techwise! When the n00bs pack the same gear as the pro players then they’ll know the only thing holding them back is skill, and they WILL improve!
I still dont get it why the contract change cost is not erased. The whole contract change should be gone now that there are no loyalty levels.
From a lore POV: I’m a mercenary, i work for whoever gives me moneys.
Technically, if different kinds of vouchers are are needed for different kinds of EQ than you shouldnt invest a significant amount of money into gettint one kind, and one kind only. Back then, when you worked for loyalty levels, you had a goal in mind, you could balance the costs of changing against leveling one and getting only one kind of modules. Now its screwed, even more so with the voucher cap. That shouldnt exist either, i shouldnt be forced to change contract just to not waste vouchers.

DUDE!!! I squaded with my brother (2 man squad) we both had ONLY T1 Ships and we were PUTTED ON A FIGHT AGAINST DOZENS OF T3’s!!! I dont want easy victory, what i want is the chance to win, and flying a T1 against a T3 makes my ship blow up with 2 missiles, and i have to rape them with rails, shoot about 3 missiles and the dude is still alive!!!
T3’s Command ship Vs T1 Tackler… What do you think? is it Fair? I get 2 missiles on the face im facing death certainly, not to mention the command ship T3 can equip bubble guns for example, one hit from that and it causes more dammage than a missile, while i am doing 300 dammage per shot of my rails (Thats with luck, cause if he has resistance against kin on shield it lowers much more) and my missiles hit them for 1000 dammage at most. Tell me how fair is that!!!
Then i go to my interceptor T1, some T3 int only needs to fire a missile, plasma web and go away, i die seconds later… YEAH thats the diference between T1 and T3!!! Or, when im engaging an interceptor another dude comes from behind and shoots a sing cannon and a missile combined. Dead for me!!!
If im on my tackler, and a T3 guard turns pulsar on, by the time i leave its AOE im almost dead, another missile from an int and im dead.
Basically it is like flying a game where anyone can 1 shot you, but u need to shoot a gazillion times to kill one.

Sorry but a full synergy Tormentor S is not all that killable with a lvl 4 synergy Stilleto AE, sure I can do it if the Tormentor S pilot is sub par, but i’ll be there shooting him for half the match to get it done. 2 man squads with 2 decent players do not stay in the same tier, played quite a few games last night where I was put against players with T5 ships when in a 2 man squad. It is not a balanced fight when your opponent has a better ship, more modules and more implants, can you still win against such a miss match of course you can sometimes, when the opposing player doesn’t know what he is doing, cause if he does you won’t win. Am i expected to win against ESB players (as an example that occurred) or members of my own corp when they’re using t4 ships and my squad mate and I are using t3’s ? Basically facing similar skilled or more skilled pilots with better ships, you call that balance?
I’ve been playing with a friend (squad of two) with our rank 6 ships into rank 10 games (mostly tier 3 and some tier 4 ships, the only tier 2 ships were ours)
And all I can say is that I enjoyed it. Mostly because I still do whatever I’m supposed to do, and I get more credits and synergy!!! Sure if I’m 1v1 vs a tier 4 ECM or guard I’m screwed… but the two of us coordinating took down a tier 4 guard with two tier 2 gunships, getting the slayer of inmortals medal. Sure it was his fault for being derping alone (or maybe the rest of his team was already dead, I didn’t care) but it was FUN.
So stop complaining about new players getting smashed. The new players are having fun, and are earning more credits if they get into a squad. And since the winning extra for credits and synergy is very small, I don’t care about winning or loosing.
When you start wanting to be more competitive you want balanced games and opponents, not ships 7 ranks higher than yours as opponents. Sure most of us complaining about the matchmaker can probably still actually win a lot of the time even with miss matched opponents, but we also recognize that this way of “balancing” is not how a competitive game is supposed to go around balancing their matches, people are basically being punished for being decent players. Losing a fight because your opponent has a better ship, more modules and implants is simply no fun. Losing against a ship of same level and same amount of modules and implants is a learning experience.
As has been said in the thread, CS being one of the most competitive games, has never had the good players fighting with knives only and the new players with access to the full gear every round… the good players weren’t getting their hands tied behind their backs to comfort the new players.

Sure, some handicap have to be put, BUT I agree on :
2 = +1
3 = +2
4 = +3
Just separate the tiers and enforce + 1 2 3.
If you play r7/10 ships and in 3 men squad you stay in the same tier.
If you fly r8/11 and duo = same tier.
If you insist on 4 men squad -> next tier for sure, BUT not the one after that.
That way T3 for example will face T4 but not T5.
I am sick of facing T2 in my mixed T3/T4 match. Or T5 in my T3 matches.
I agree, Facing random t4’s with a squad of t3’s is indeed imo viable. Facing other squads of same tier in opposing team is viable (please note don’t turn this into constant 3v3s or 4v4s). Facing squads of t4s with a squad of t3s is not viable and neither is facing t5s with t3s.
Rather than remove reasons to be in a corp, the devs really need to look for ways to increase the reasons to be in a corp. Corps/Guilds/Clans in online games have a way of keeping themselves hooked to a game, i for one stayed in WoW for several years after the first expansion not because of the game… but because of the people i met in my guild.
Also as a reminder, the economy is utterly messed up. Lower credit gain with higher expenditures, ridiculous loyalty grind increase, in it’s current state it is a lot easier to upgrade from Mk.3 to Mk.4 than it is to upgrade from Mk.2 to Mk.3.
Please don’t read this as a need to increase the grind massively to get the Mk.4 upgrades, but as a dire need to reduce the grind for Mk.3 upgrades.
I would like to point out that not everyone who plays in a squad is necessary a good player.

If it is going to be regular practice to pit veteran Tier 1/2 ships against Tier 3+ ships, then they should not have reduced options for weapons and modules.
I have no problem, and even enjoy flying Tier 1 ships from time to time. But if they can’t hold their own, there is no point. Especially if they are continually queued against Tier 3.
If a player has reached Max synergy on a Tier 1/2 ship, they should have more options for weapons and modules. Either give them a fighting chance, or stop putting them in Tier 3+ fights. Currently the system isn’t “new-player-friendly” in the slightest and actually discourages teamwork in the lower Tiers because of the squad penalty mechanic.
Concerning the squads, why the devs don’t just make it so you have the same squads per game? Are you in a 2 men squad? great, we will put another 2 man squad in front of you. Are you in a 4 men squad? great, we will put another in front, or two, two men squads to balance things.
That way there won’t be any need to do big tier crossing as it is now.
Once again, I’m having fun as it is now. But the previous suggestion maybe will be better for everyone.
Just a pair of questions:
Is it possible to know which faction vouchers you have to pay for a mk3 module without having to buy the Mk2 before? In the previous patch, all you had to do is go to shop and check there to know which faction you had to unlock. But now…
Also, since the credit farming, the vouchers expenses and the elimination of the credits from the contracts… could it be possible to get rid of the contract changing fee? or at least make it one pay only, so every faction you want to unlock cost you more (like 100k, 200k, 400k, 800k, and such) But you don’t have to pay again.
Because it is quite annoying to pay 150k creds each time you need a different voucher for upgrading to Mk3.
And finally, why do I have to pay for the PvE first purple dot? In the previous patch it was a guaranteed purple item. Guaranteed, without 10% chance. So in this new patch I should be able to have it for free, instead of having to pay for it.

It is annoying to have to pay to change every stinking time … you limiting to 1,000,000 but yet I have to pay 400K to change ? Worse yet… I had to pay again to change back to one that I am over the limit … COME ONE MAN !!!

You know what happens? You’re going to have a bad time and not make another squad for a long time, perhaps for PvE, but not for PvP.
the reduction in earning power has been massively heavy handed it feels, hopefully some stuff will get drip fed back in over the coming weeks (or is that too optimistic)
HUD changes have also felt largely pointless, 2 stops forward 3 steps back, again, tweaks here and there could see this work out…eventually.
This patch does show that they are very imaginative. They can envision a slew of drastic changes and implement them in possibly perfect working condition. Creatively and technically, this is impressive. I do think you dudes deserve an income for Star Conflict.
I consider the GS options in the game. I’ll be negative for a moment and say the GS options inside the game are quite high-priced. Back to being positive… “Soldier of Fortune” in your store is a great deal. It’s one of those things I bought and kept on being glad I did. Go with good deals like that.

Joining Solo Queue with R11 ship. It is not low tier 4, it is not high tier 4. It is in the middle. What do I face ? T5 Guards and T3 interceptors. And few T4.
