Are you saying that in the future we will (maybe) be able to progress in the ship tree via premium ships? And do you know if there’s a plan about making t5 premium ships?

There are some plans, but not exactly about the ship tree.

Premium T5s are related to economics, I cannot comment on them

Actually I observed the same behaivior: 

Instead of 3-man-squads most PPL seem to do 2-man-squads now, or go solo. 

4-man-squads afaik only exist at rank 11 and rank 15. Rank 11s are killsquads and Rank 15 feel like wait-squads… yet 4v4 Rank 15 battles are intense and great… if you get matched one day. 

Besides the discussion if this new MM is “fair” or not, it actively reduced the squadsize to 2 in general, because many players dont like get matched that high. 

I cant blame them, tho: The new MM feels awkward and PPL like winning and ofc. fighting vs the same tier.

And Yet, I dont think that Module-Tech + DSR give a very good indicator how good anyone is. 

In fact, 1600 DSR + 1000 DSR Players are not balanced vs. 2x 1300 DSR players, since in high Tiers a 1000 DSR player means in general a failure or a Tier-Rusher… dont know whats worse. 

 

Anyone tried to do a Tier1 4-man squad btw?

These are not the only indicators.

Hey guys, there was someone asking about premium and loyalty, so I am getting back to you with this:

The premium boost works as intended, it is just that when you have a license activated all figures in contracts change accordingly. So you are getting a 50% loyalty boost, it is just that it applies a bit differently than other modifiers.

15 minute queue times are so much fun. I love this. I have so much time to do other things besides play this game now.

 

Why are we waiting 15 minutes to be put in the SAME EXACT 4v4 time and time again?

 

You like playing this game with your friends? Too bad, you’re going to get punished for that. This game doesn’t support friendship, community building or teamwork. It promotes solo play, and bitching because you can’t beat a team of four by yourself.

The funny part is that your team had at least 3 T4 ships, but these are the “rushers” pushed back into t3, hehe

they were in a squad, we fought them after that game as well

Premiums are NOT about economics, they’re just ships. I’m sure a simple yes or no would suffice.

Just a pair of questions:

 

Is it possible to know which faction vouchers you have to pay for a mk3 module without having to buy the Mk2 before? In the previous patch, all you had to do is go to shop and check there to know which faction you had to unlock. But now…

 

Also, since the credit farming, the vouchers expenses and the elimination of the credits from the contracts… could it be possible to get rid of the contract changing fee? or at least make it one pay only, so every faction you want to unlock cost you more (like 100k, 200k, 400k, 800k, and such) But you don’t have to pay again.

 

Because it is quite annoying to pay 150k creds each time you need a different voucher for upgrading to Mk3.

 

And finally, why do I have to pay for the PvE first purple dot? In the previous patch it was a guaranteed purple item. Guaranteed, without 10% chance. So in this new patch I should be able to have it for free, instead of having to pay for it.

Well, for me it seems that picking a 3-man-squad is at the current state the worst possible choice:

If you have a 2-man-squad you can stay in your own tier (most of the times)

If you have a 4-man-squad (with coordination) you have enough variety and fire/cap power to overcome most PUG Opponents in high Tiers.

And yes, the abomination T5 Guards are still a problem, with the recent buffs to their modules and the nerfs to speed they even become more OP.

Rally guys… MMstill needs some fixing but it really looks to me that u r just complaining about not having easy win and easy kills to save your dsr. Sure zap prefers a 2 man squad to stay in the same tier and farm on unexpert and lower lvl ships. Easy life. U do not want a balanced game u r just looking forvl the easiest win.

  1. Sure I can solo the xxxx with my CovOps, no problem. Yet maybe you should READ what I wrote: T5 Jerry Guards are broken OP and dont you think  that the Prop. Inhibitor Buff and all the fancy stuff that was buffed for Guards is a bit much, while on the other hand reducing the speed flat through all classes? Guess which ships profit the most of that change… Oh, right, the slow ones.

 If we lock the tiers all new players who will come to the, say, tier 3 will be smashed right away with the team of same-tier 3 players who just do not want to move from this tier. Why? All tiers are locked - they just do no need to progress anymore. Moreover, this will not be fun at all for anyone - for those who are flying ‘all purple rigs’ because they will constantly meet those who are weaker than they are,  and those who are constantly getting smashed won’t  be happy either. The main thing is that an experienced and well-played squad will always  be stronger than most of solo players, and we want our squad players to have interesting and matching opponents, and not just topple weaker players as it happened with previous settings.

Take any other game, ANY other pvp team game, the basis of competitive play is that everybody has the same chances in terms of gear and equipment (=ship tech levels). It is up to you what ship you pick, how you micro the equipment and adapt to the team and work together. Ship sinergy, mk4 gear are only a minor bonus and reward to your commitment, and they DO NOT decide the outcome. A lot of pvp games give players small rewards in % improvements, which do not give any certain advantage, only a small one. 

 

If you get crushed, it is because you are bad, and you need to learn the game, just like any other pvp game. STOP STREAMLINING AND HAND HOLDING NEW PLAYERS. Make them learn the game and start getting competitive. Right now you are losing all your serious competitive player base because you are ruining the balance of the game with stupid matchmaking and tier mixing. NOBODY CARES if new players get crushed, IT HAPPENS IN EVERY GAME. Purples or not. LEARN THE F****** GAME.  

 

Ooh, but the game is too hard, we have to, we have to… nerf the speed, everything is too fast, we have to nerf the groups, they are too strong, no no, it is still TOO hard, we have to make groups play T5 in their T3s, oh it is still too xxxx hard, we have to balance it, guards die too fast, we have to buff them, quick, quick guys, the noobz are dying, we have to balance something! In your words, it is TOO HARD for the new guys because experienced groups are OP? But you have matchmaking for that, right? There should be an equal group on the other side too, yes? So it is balanced. And if they see good corps topping the scores all the time, maybe they want to join those corps, and get help in learning the game. Promote social play? The whole point of corporations? Where is it? 

 

If squads are really bothering you so much, what if you limit squad size to 2 in T2, to 3 in T3 and 4 man squads are allowed in T4 and T5 (because this is where apparently the clan wars happen, so why do we have a bunch of noobz with 1 T4 ship flying around  there, huh?), with no change in queue based on the number of squad members. If you want to play T4 with 4 guys, you play T4, not xxxx T5. By T4 you should already have a group or a corp to squad with, or else I don’t know why do we even have corporations in the game anymore!

 

I would say, present the tiers to new players better, because they do not know what the xxxx is going on:

I suggest you limit squad size to 2 in T2, to 3 in T3 and 4 man squads are allowed in T4 and T5 (because this is where apparently the clan wars happen, so why do we have a bunch of noobz flying around  there, huh?), with no change in queue based on the number of squad members. If you want to play T4 with 4 guys, you play T4, not xxxx T5. By T4 you should already have a group or a corp to squad with, or else I don’t know why do we even have corporations in the game anymore!

I’ve been playing with a friend (squad of two) with our rank 6 ships into rank 10 games (mostly tier 3 and some tier 4 ships, the only tier 2 ships were ours)

 

And all I can say is that I enjoyed it. Mostly because I still do whatever I’m supposed to do, and I get more credits and synergy!!! Sure if I’m 1v1 vs a tier 4 ECM or guard I’m screwed… but the two of us coordinating took down a tier 4 guard with two  tier 2 gunships, getting the slayer of inmortals medal. Sure it was his fault for being derping alone (or maybe the rest of his team was already dead, I didn’t care) but it was FUN.

 

So stop complaining about new players getting smashed. The new players are having fun, and are earning more credits if they get into a squad. And since the winning extra for credits and synergy is very small, I don’t care about winning or loosing.

And any word on any other changes that they will implement? I think right now hearing certain things would help a lot…Or are the devs just gonna ignore the issues for 2 months again and wait for the player base to shrink to 1k at peak again?

This is exactly one and the same thing: buying the module.

 

 

And way to go Neo, those are all real and valid points. N00bs can be matched with n00bs and pros with pros in the same tier (solo and group queuing is also another extra option). Tier-crossing is not a necessity to balance all this crap only because of ‘those people still progressing in terms of ships and items’.

Penalties for making a strong team/squad in team based tactical game. I never realized why do they do that.

Sure, some handicap have to be put, BUT I agree on :

2 = +1

3 = +2

4 = +3

 

Just separate the tiers and enforce + 1 2 3.

 

If you play r7/10 ships and in 3 men squad you stay in the same tier.

If you fly r8/11 and duo = same tier.

If you insist on 4 men squad -> next tier for sure, BUT not the one after that. 

That way T3 for example will face T4 but not T5.

 

I am sick of facing T2 in my mixed T3/T4 match. Or T5 in my T3 matches.
