Astral often in large maps on slow fighter and frigs i prefer setting ship speed by + and -. Not to mention how useful is this in pve. So I need that little arrow speed indicator back.

By the way frigs are much more killable now, they need some support too. Being a covop pilot too i can also use camo to approach lonely half gone frig to sit in their back and finish them lol

Current reloading costs are an answer to the problem of missile spam brought up when the weapon change occured; the Devs have made it so that non-paying players cannot afford to fly with missiles and ammunition equipped. “Working as intended”.

That actually does explain everything.

 

I used to play with boosters and made a decent amount of credits per match. Then boosters were made 5(?) times more expensive and that meant earning nothing at all if you used even the cheapest of them. So I didn’t bother with them anymore.

Then we were made to buy ammo after every match. It costs less up front than modifiers used to, but it adds up quickly.

And now contracts don’t give credit rewards anymore.

 

I earn about 80-100k per match at T3. Restocking ammo and missiles costs 30-40k. Then there’s ship repairs for 40-45k every other match depending on how well it went. So 50k per match is about the most I can make considering everything.

To afford a R9 ship which costs 3M, I have to play at least 60 matches. That’s a lot of hours to put in for one ship that still sucks, because it has MK1 modules and no synergy at all. To fit MK2 modules will take even longer than that. The time required to farm enough loyalty for MK3 is mindbogglingly. Epic items are probably easier to come by now, and you can have whichever one you want. I didn’t even have any use for most of the purples I found. And that’s for a ship in the tier that I’m already playing. How would I ever move on without throwing a fit, because everyone else in T4 is obviously much better equipped than me? And what if you’re more of an average player and place in the middle of the scoreboard? You get 50-60k and that means you’re lucky not to make a loss.

 

The message to take home is this: all blue ships are reserved for the really, really patient players or those who pay. Given the advantage MK3 items (and subsequently MK4) give you over MK2, how can anyone say this isn’t pay2win? Honestly. I’ve clocked in so many hours in this game and using all the loyalty I collected until now I can fit 2, maybe 3 T3 ships with MK3 items.

I have so many games that need playing that I happily PAID to actually own them, that I’m not seeing why I should waste my time here.

Puting balance controversy aside, there are some changes that i very-very like, and i just want to thank for these

  • Synergy Cap limit made into softcap, man this one is HUGE one, now, finally, when i fly my prem ships i don’t have to die or suicide to change to another ship, because i’ve hit the synergy cap on it and it was damn low. Currently in T3, with licence, i clock 30-40k Synergy on my Sai/Bear/DE w/e per battle, which translates into 8-10k of free synergy. I know there is a soft cap on synergy gains , and it still possible to gain even more if you fly different ships.

  • I like the change in core mechanics of loot/upgrade, i don’t like the prices, but i like very-much how it works

  • New HUD, this is awesome, that extra bit of information that you can add is just Great

  • Extra thanks for synergy bonus for premium modules.

So I just played (or tried to play) some pvp in a squad. Didn’t turn out very well as you can imagine. The team that im on always feels way too underpowered, and the enemy team feels way too overpowered. Oh well. I guess its back to solo/pve for me until this is fixed.

Other than that, I like the customizable HUD, even though I cant see enemies anymore unless they are right in my face

Every one have to understand that, now, when you queue up as 3 man squad, it is going to be tough, and you can’t just casually balse through the game anymore, you need some level of coordination +with relatively synergy in your ship pick ups, no more stomping of randoms. And when you go in the 4 man squad, every one in a group have to understand that xxxx is about to get real

Played a bit PvP today. Waiting for about 8 mins on average for a T5 match. Also matchmaker seems to dont give me 1v1s anymore. Instead I get matched with one below average Tier-Rusher while on the other side are always 2 OK-ish Players. Still, I cant compensate for one derp. So I loose a lot now. Can I have the bots again?

The suffering of the above average DSR-Players…  :taunt:

 

The MM as it is now is still abused by rank 11  Killsquads, which get matched vs randoms in T5 (T5 killsquads seem to have its own queue). Its quite easy for them to win… should open up one myself… :Dwop

The hilarious part is that mercs are supposed to be people looking for well payed work. I would definitely keep away from such contracters x(

Even having my own ant farm on a planet would be more profitable lol. Or working in a space bar as a waiter.

Yea i want that back too. I mean, it’s there, but nearly invisible. I get what you mean with large maps and constant speed, but in combat you do use WASD right?

 

Gotta agree with Zap: i think i want bots as teammates now…

Sorry to say but this patch may break the sense of Corps.

If we got 4 ppl on T1 in a squad they are at Rank 6-10, do you mean this for real?

 

This MM is broken for all corps and squads, please review.

 

The former one was way better in my opinion, you just had not enough player for it to work as expected.

 

If you dont mess up with the player (what you are currently doing) you may get more player and a working MM.

I think it would be a nice addition to PVE games where in the loading page where we choose our ships, we have a button that everyone can press to immediately start the round. If everyone presses the button then the round starts instead of having to wait the full minute.

 

I stated this in a previous post but maybe we could also tie the contracts/loyalty vouchers with the in game medals so for triple kills or something we can get 100 loyalty vouchers. That at least makes getting medals a little more significant. 

I agree on Corps being devalued. Players are better off flying solo and hoping the MM puts them on the same side than actually making a squad.

I would rather get rid of 4 man squads again than get rid of teams altogether.

You didn’t miss anything. There has been a long time persisting bug of lock losing and random ships going invisible for a split second every now and then and apparently nobody gives a sh*t about it.

just to be clear we are not talking about CovOps/Tackler been under drones debuff and clicking invis/camo? because that would produce lose of lock and “split second” invis

Neh, it happens a lot, suddenly the carrier disappears completely from the map for a couple of seconds, even the bomb marker… It’s awful.

about credits for some reason things have felt like gaining credits have taking a HUGE nerf, when looting the no loot and non upgrade loot they need a huge jump in credits not the none or tiny bit you get -.-

It’s probably mostly sensor range, but I’ve had it happen with sensor range and line of sight.  It happens a lot with a ship behind an asteroid.  On a couple occasions, I’ve seen a ship cloak but I still saw their hitbox.

Nope. The mod just goes on cooldown with no effect in that case. It’s been happening on all types of ships not just stealth able ones. Just out of nowhere losing lock and it’s been persisting since 0.9.
