Isn’t it obvious? It’s all about supply and demand. Red and Black were heavily demanded, but the supply is limited.
Space-Red can only be extracted from the pulsing veins of the enraged space-manatee, which is endangered and thus only hunted by pirates. They can’t shoot well due to eyepatches. If they can take it alive, it must be subjected to hours of political blogging, arguments of which is Best Pony, and patch notes until that lovely red color begins to spew from its neck and forehead.
Space-Black is a mixture of Dark Matter, orphan puppy tears, and the black miasma of the blackest souls. It must be mixed at close to absolute zero while reading horrible poetry, lest a sparkle of joy get in and ruin everything. Even after mixing, it remains incredible volatile, so much so that one knock-knock joke can turn it straight to plaid. It can only be applied while blasting Linkin park over the ship’s radio, and the pilot has to comb their hair over one eye until it dries.
As you can clearly see, raising the price was the only logical choice.
Man you should write sci-fi books or at least comic scripts you have talent! thanks for the laugh too!
Zap, sorry for being picky, but aiming is still done on2d plane, while it is still more complicated than in most shooters , its not 3d)
if you want to get technical, then aiming in shooters is done on a 1d surface. the linear motion of the player strafing. jumping in most games results in death, and crouching usually results in a headshot.
Now I know for a fact that even many of the so called top players are actually terrible at aiming.
Rolling back on reduction of autoaim change, the game has effectively introduced a very low skill ceiling after showing just how high of a skill ceiling it could have.
if you’re going to extend that to 2d for SC, better makes sure the traversal rates are lower… oh wait, but they’re 3-5 times higher…
all theories have now been blown out of the water in terms of ‘skill cap’ as well.
as for the first comment regarding your assumptions about other players, i think you should put those aside considering you know nothing about their ping.

There are still elevations/obsticles and still ahev to aim for those that do crawl and jump, so no matter how you put it it is a 2d aiming, its not a Duke Nukem or Wolfinstein

they’re all predictable. easier to extrapolate motion, same goes for jumppads/etc. cant count how many dudes i lightning/railed in q3 off pads, or mid-air rocks. lmao

I would love to see a single shooter that has no elevations and would not require you to move your mouse on Y axis
Didnt read the RU forums to that time. Still it was valid, dont go T4 when you see an 4-Player-Bar at the upper end of T4 queue… In fact I know how unpopular T4 was. I played a lot T4 since 8.2 or so. ESB was always an instant loss then (was solo queueing there). In all that time between 8.2 to 9.0 I only witnessed one (1) 8v8 match. All the other matches were 4v4 at max (and those were the ugly ones ofc.)
Still, same argument: Most of the time it were 4v4 matches vs. randoms, right?
No and no. The problem wasn’t that they dominated 4v4, as they still do. Problem was that they dominated most 8v8 to 12v12 as well. That is what caused the whine. It didn’t help that most of them were xxxxxxx about it, pushing enemy into to the spawn when they got control of the game and then brutally farming them completely ignoring objectives.

Have you seen that by yourself? Pre 9.0? As I said, I never erver had a 12v12 before 9.0.
Tbh. I havent. Also I didnt felt so much their dominance in T3.
Ontopic: I am not even able to start the Tutorial. No massage pops up. Maybe its because I played it last patch?
It’s not like there aren’t enought option to play this game if you haven’t a good aim: you can use frigates with tactical propouses, same for interceptors, you can fly a singularity frigate killers fighters… tou can fly jerico long range…
You can actually be a good pilot withouth a good aim… what you shouldn’t be able to be withouth a good aim is a bloody sniper becouse people, be serious, this is just ridicolous.
I could eventually tollerate a sort of aim assit (on the records: i wrote tollerate, not approve) for dog fights and close range… i mean in those cases where a guy has to fight to survive …
But you can’t be a sniper withouth high aim skill.
It’s like pretend to be a Nascar Pilot withouth being able to drive a car…
it’s just a completly idiot claim none serious game should even consider to satisfy.

DOOM! Okay, it has elevation, but the game auto-corrects your shots toward enemies above or below you when your x-axis aim is close enough that, where you on the same height, the shot would connect.
The result is one of the BEST fps ever made! This auto aim removes the need for pixel-perfect accuracy and instead moves focus to battlefield control. In DOOM anyone can hit a mancubus with a shotgun from 200m away, but only a master can take on six of them at once while a dozen revenants pour homing missiles down from on high.
This is what the fake fps players forget: the truly great shooters aren’t about your shooting skill; they’re about your skill in EVERY facet of the game!
There are 2 people that oppose the aim assist, and the rest tolerates it or doesn’t want the system to go…I think we got a clear enough answer no?
Most of people want it becouse thhey are bad and aimbot makes them feeling like they aren’t (bad).
No surprise about it.
Point here is : if you care about what “most of people” want you are just doing another “n0ob frendly game” with no deep, no aspectatives… just anopther game will be forget when the new one will be released next year.
If you care about what your hardcore playerbase, your veterans wants… well congrats u made a serious game… a niche game probably (as all serious games often been) … but something can survive new gens and can write a little piece of history in online gaming…
Caring for your hardcore playerbase is generally a terrible idea.
You can feed them some stuff yes, but you should focus on your mediocre playerbase that will put in much more money combined than your hardcores.
And even if you feed the hardcores more stuff they want, it will only push mediocres away, and hardcores will finish it within a day and start whining for more content.
Wrong, there are lots of people playin Quake 3, UT 2k4, UT3, Painkiller…
On the other hands how many people will remain on the actual COD (i don’t even know what’s the number) when the next one will be released?
Actually this way you are just pushing away your hardcore player base… and when u ll lose casuals too couse star citizen or “insert a name” will be released next year what u ll have will be an emplty mediocre game.
This is a point.
Another point is it’s not mandatory to build a game only around how many money you can do with it. i mean offcourse u need to gain oney… but some choises can be done for dirrerents reason…
Take me as example… if i had enought founds ro create my own game … well offcourse i know i have to publish something like WoW 2 to maximize my profit… still i d make Unreal Tournament 4.
