Stealth change! Achievements got new pictograms ^.^
New pictograms? Least of our problems. Good to know, though.
SM Corp color is red.
We as a collective just got screwed.
Basically now eveyopne till yesterday wasn’t even able to aim a frigate at 100 meters distance now are back to be Elite snipers with gauss making fly interceptors boring as hell.
And now I KNOW for sure isn’t their own skill but aim assist… well what shhould i do?
To be fair, agile ships with boosted rotations can exploit how Auto-Aim works, Even when you charge right in the face, as long as they don’t have Aoe weapon (Coils/Bubble gun) or lasers you can force they aim to shoot in wrong direction and they can do nothing about it. Of course projectile speed fitted Gauss at mid range will hit faster then you can maneuver, but oh well, gotta use that cover
For those who can’t start their auto-update download, keep exiting and restarting the launcher until it bites.

fact that you had to explain the obvious should be incentive enough to ignore troll comments. you are too kind for the forum’s own good.

This is really quite easy to do, even vs Gauss Gunships.
I don’t get the prize increase on customization, it’s not like if it was already expensive.

because they believe increasing price on a price elastic good will raise revenue. atleast they have something new to ‘monitor’.

Yes and no really depends on a Gauss Cannon build (max projectile speed or more dmg) and how the interceptor build, not many stack Collision Compensators/Rotation engines and Rotation Implant, and you most of time will need more than 2 of these to dodge max speed gauss canon build at 2-3k range
my launcher don’t want to DL this patch ok with 5-6 restarts of the launcher
Black/red color 2x increased price … in french we call that : “Quenelle de 175”
PVE : Processing Rig is the most awfull mission : too more silly adds… the only way is to get a camping barrier and let the drone do the job (woooaahhoooo , impressive !)
less ships but harder and smarter will be a good deal for the teamplay
thanks for the remove all button
In PvP the map with the gates (don’t know his name) sort very very often, it’s boring…
Next update is for new content ??? hope so !! -_-’

You think you got screwed? WPK Support colours are black and red!
is the aim working as intented? tryed to change ui size to max to get bigger aim but it dident help. tryed to set contrast…dident help. this isent much of a fix…
It’s not a button, it’s an option in the context menu that pops up when you right-click a slotted ship. You can even do it from the ships window, which is very helpful in cleaning out forgotten modules. If the ship has modules equipped, the option will appear, but if the ship is empty, it won’t.
Oh! cheers for clearing that up mate

Mete the gauss i’m concerned to is not the one i m approaching or i can see…is the one i don t see and hits me for 3k from 5 6 km away.
3 hours to go for that. But I’m not touching T4 as it is, there’s barely anyone there and you often get T5 groups down in T4, right?
Seems like they really changed the MM. Now you get smaller battles in less time (confirmation would be nice btw.)
Im completely fine with that.

Same. I just don’t want to wait 4 minutes to get into a 3v3 with bots, that’s all…

I hope they do monitor it. I would have to imagine that most folks will think of it the same way I do—if I was going to go black or red, I’m now not going to go anything at all. I’m certainly not going to just ante up for the new price.
Not that 300gs is exactly expensive or anything, but I’m the kind of guy that’ll share his sandwich with a hungry stranger but would rather watch a money grubber starve than spit nutrients in his mouth.
The rest of the patch is good, mostly because it effectively rolls back the last patch which was bad. Now that that’s over with, the other stuff has a better chance to get looked at, IMO.
Examples that come to mind:
Give a good incentive to get those T4/T5 ships out there to raise the number playing them.
Clean up the progression trees. For example, don’t make me use the godawful Harpy all the way to mid T3 just to unlock the “real” Empire engineering tree. Don’t make me get nine levels with the empire Recon, Fed tackler, Jericho Command, and Fed engineer. The tackler in particular needs a look—the ONLY T3 Fed tackler has three modules and spans the whole tier. I’ve already basically completed this terrible venture(one level left on Swarm and Anaconda), but it’s a huge, senseless wall for those that are up and coming.
Consider actual PvP income versus PvE income. A daily purple dot would be nice(done like the PvE one, would also instigate a little high tier play too, I’d think). Losses are worth almost as much(sometimes more) than wins, and wins are low enough that high level PvP is grindy rather than fun to outfit your ships with. A more clean income progression would really move people up, I think.
I can’t see cosmetics being even remotely worthwhile so long as the next ship upgrade REPLACES your current one. They either need to apply to all models of a ship (ex: cosmetics for Lynx applies to Lynx-m and Lynx-MKII) or, add an option to unlock a color for all ships at a greater cost.

looks like it. small games, no bots, 2 minutes. I think they stopped making the MM wait for full 12 v 12 matches. Now it seems to be minimum 6 players to start a game instead of it waiting for 24 players.
Re: Auto Aim
- this thing is indeed Cheat Mode: ON.
Here are the reasons why skill based aim is impossible in Star Conflict currently
-
Delayed firing on client
-
No (or ineffective) lag compensation server side when calculating hits (NOT the same as calculating prediction marker distance)
Both 1 and 2 is not fixed
What you have now is ‘Aim Assist’
How does it work?
It’s a cheat mode.
When your crosshair touches the predictor marker (with or without ‘Ping adjusted Prediction’ - it doesn’t matter)
Your projectile will transmagikally JUMP on target and hits it with 100% accuracy
For example:
If my crosshair is 1 cm away from predictor, my shots will fall behind by 150m. To hit target my crosshair needs to be further infront by 4 - 5 cm
but instead, the moment my crosshair touches the predictor, shots will magically jump EXACTLY on-target and hits it.
The patch did not restore client side shooting and improve server side hit detection. Instead they put on the same cheat mode that the positron had on to all the other weapons. This isn’t a fix and an insult to players who believes shooter games should be skill based.
As is - Star Conflict is still ping based with an option to turn on cheat mode. That is a shame.
From the wording on patch notes and Antibus it seems like they feel this is the best that they can do. I don’t believe problem 1 and 2 will ever be attended to properly and thus, this will indeed mark my departure. I had good times with many of the players here and it was an honour to have flown with and against you all but alas my ideals still haunts me to do the right thing and support a different game with developers who are committed to making their projects work rather than simply work on a project.
Salute.
