Due to my above average DSR I get matched with those derps on a regular basis.  :014j:

So MM thinks its fair to match me 2v2 with a guy that has 0.85 W/L and 900 DSR. (I know those stats are not accurate but it shows a tendency).

But actually I went to T4 NOT to see those guys in my team…  

Can I have a bot pleeeeeease! 

 

The answer to that might be to put R15 bonuses to R9 and introduce Corp-Wars, so we dont have to face them anymore. 

And I really really hope that is the new content Antibus spoke about. 

It will remove most likely all corp-vets from regular battles, but my hope is that those battles will become that intense that we dont even have to bother about anything else.

exactly this. it is annoying for good players to play (and often lose) to a medicore oponent team just because you are supposed to compensate for your bad teammates. i’d much rather like to play with players on my level vs. players on my level as well. i often do half of the objectives (in detonation i often end up planting most/all of the bombs) but i can’t be everywhere… even worse if it is in realistic mode where your mates just die and you are allways outnumbered.

 

this was one of my main reasons i stopped playing at regular basis (the other one was the dumbing down of the game. i guess you all know what i mean).

As we have stated before reticule situation is going to be fixed in the upcoming patch.

As for being bored… we are prepairing something interesting, wait for our announcements :wink:

No offense intended, but seeing the devs previous “interesting addons to content” I fear how badly they will break it this time.

But beyond that, I am interested in seeing what will come, and would like to see fixes to more already existing issues that shouldn’t be too hard to fix.

A 3v3 T3 match on Sunday @ 2pm. Lovely, especially when half my team had T2 and T1 ships.

That’s a Flamberge. A T4 Jericho Premium Fighter. In a T3 match. Everyone in the match had, at least, an R7, so I take it this is perfectly natural, as well.

 

If you want to check your “logs”, the timestamp is there, just search yourselves. Make sure you search around 2-3 minutes before the upload time.

but DarkStar’s first ship is a Lance-AE. So we now have R6 ships mixed with R11. How’s that for a matchmaking?

I don’t think guards are OP… But if you fly ONLY inties, since u have purples, and 0 lagg sure, i would complain about guards, since it doesnt matter that much if they have a little lagg.

 

Put guards against fighters with sing cannons and they melt. But sure, if you try to head on a group of 3 guards and 2 engeneers with and interceptor and at most 1 wingman you are going to die…

 

What you anti-guards want is that your interceptors could kill anything that moves in two shots. (cause most of you fly what? Interceptors…)

 

I believe this game was suposed to be like: Archer beats mage, mage beats warrior, warrior beats archer. Which would mean that no ship class can kill anyone else, everyone has a weakness. Aside from guard, tell me what are the interceptor’s weakness? Only another interceptor, or perhaps being caught pants down by a LFR missile, or fighters with gauss cannon sniper build. But 1x1 int is the only one with the possibility of killing any other class of ship, since without pulsars and torpedoes (em ones) guards are just flying whales to them.

 

There is a FUCKTON of errors in this game, things that needs to be modified, cause it is broken, but i hate see the wine of interceptor players against guards, dude, if u go head on to a guard with full ammo and pulsar ready inties are going to take a beating, what would you expect, that you could fly straight to a guard and kill it without even a scratch just cause u are “so l33t” so PRO, or SO SKILLED?

 

 

***********Another thing, for those people that have to play with 300ms latency, maybe frigates are the only playable thing, since it is impossible for an int with 300ms to kill another int with 20ms, thats not even taking into account the amount of purples NASA dudes have.

It doesn’t even take a DSR as high as yours.  Yesterday I tried a couple T2 matches for grinding some ship lines I want to at least bring to T3.  One was a 2v2 T2 match.  One guy disconnected, he died twice.  I died once, can only run away for so long while being tailed by a recon before dieing.  The last guy died four times, I even told him I was just going to wait it out since it was like 6<100 beacon hunt.  He went in anyway for one final death.  I had one match Saturday where I started looking at ships and kept seeing T3, T3, T3, then a T4.  My first thought is “WTF? I have T2’s loaded!”  Then I noticed, I had a Phobos loaded with 6/9 synergy along with three T2 ships.  Yes, R7 ship placed against R10.

 

I haven’t seen many corp squads except the zerg corps.  Lack of members or moved to T4?  I stay away from there to stay away from bots.

 

Those R15 bonuses should be put at R4.  Let players get the hang of the game to understand it, then let them choose once they “start” playing the game.

I’ve watched guards HP pour out with assault rails.  It’s enjoyable.  You don’t need singularity.  It’s just interceptors have trouble taking on a guard.

Please tell me which Tier you are flying. I guess Ive seen you yesterday in low T3. 

It feels that I havent played T2 for ages but I can assure you that the trouble with the Guards starts at R9. They begin to get to be too fat to die.

Survival of the fattest.

Seriously, in T4+ there is no reason not to fly a frigate. If you do else you want diversity or you dont know what to do.

Actually I had a 1v1 (with bots) vs. Crus S while I was stupid enough to pick the Tempest (that guy had a T4 ship in his hangar but didnt pick it). I was not able to kill him. Actually I had a better range with my PG then he with his Mortars… so he wasnt even able to use pulsar on me. So I had the full advantage… besides that he would just not die, and there was no healer.

So, the fun part is: That guy (R9) was just immortal to an ECM (R11) (which is now nerved to a grade that its barely useful and nothing more than a nusiance).  Its still a good ship for a captain, but imo, its not worth to take it into the hangar for only that reason. Also I dont think thats a bad build.

If there will be a tournament next week in T4 I bet the meta would be like this:

1 Recon to light enemies up and debuff.

1 Gunship for fast manouvers

3 Guards 

1 Healer

2 Jerry LRF.

 

Do you notice any frigate-preference? Also the gunship is only situational and wont be actively engaging.

They’re OP in T4+ because the small ships can’t kill them and having all Fighters fitted with BBCs will make them innefective against everything else other than Frigates.

Not true ory, I have seen people be very effective with BB against everything.

Guards are op as hell , Jerico Long Range are not op  but so bloody annoying …   Engi can stay imho (still if it was me id make engi fighters) … mhe…

I admit i’ve only played 1 match (poor one in T4) my team had only one T4 (my tormentor that i didnt even use) and we won anyways. Was i think 4x4.

 

But mostly i play T3’s, and in T3 what i’ve seen is, inties pawning anyone, and of course a guard can withstand a int, but two of them kill a guard in seconds, just each one use a diferent dammage type, and there goes the phase shield advantage.

But it is true, i have no idea at all how T4 and T5 pvp are at this moment, but then ppl shouldnt go all out saying guards are OP, they should say: GUARDS IN t4/T5 are OP…

Just get some pulse lasers already :yes_yes: . Seriously, more base dps, decent range, trying to strip the guard’s shields with them won’t drive you insane (like shrapnel).

I think you underestimate the power of empire light frigates gunships in coordinated, competitive play. I have little doubt 2-3 of them can just go in, take the healer out in seconds with overdrive and make it back alive.

You guys don’t know what are you talking about, seriously.

 

A t5 guard is something with 80k survivability who can heal self, equipped with weapons that deals 3~5 k per hit and/or 8km range … with an area effect deals itself termendous damage potentially always active.

 

Now, it’s already a pain fight one of those xxxx … most of ships simply can’t do anything but run… but when you find 2 or 3 toogheter…
