Indeed. Some people have a right to enjoy their curbstomping of newbies. You can’t ask everyone to enjoy challenge, or learning experience.

 

Some people like aimbot, guards, bitching about better players being OP and T3. Some like learning to play, interceptors and higher tiers. It’s all about the taste.

Don’t get me wrong, I love curbstomping the idiots out of this game, but I keep getting grouped with the most idiotic people in the entire game, even when in a squad, it’s like my side of the game is made of utter xxxx that don’t even know which part of their ship is aft.

I feel like that comment was aimed at me somewhere in there, but it is so hidden I’m not sure if it actually is.

Squads, yes. But whenever we’re on the field, we have to pull the entire team’s weight and I hate that.

T3 is everything but fun.

 

9 matches out of 10 in t3 are like this:

 

4 or 5 long range each side, 4 or 5 guards… others are gunship with aimbot gauss or 7 km builded laser. Some spare engi.

 

Engae distance is around 5 km … everywhere u go u just have “Warning incoming missile” and have to run…

I see 1-3 LRF per match, then I kill them in my cov ops and they stop flying it because they want to take revenge on me.

And gauss I encounter sometimes, but not often. Singularity and gauss and ion emitter are used in the same amount.

 

And self destruct is so terrible I only died once to it and that was in my covops with <10% health and no EB(because energy slots are overrated?) 

You are playing ur own game pal, we all understood it.

 

Numbers in t3 are those.  And unfortunately t4 too is moving in that direction  too…

 

About Self destruction… it’s not an iusse actually untill people use it in stupid and completly unpredictable ways… as happened to me some days ago:  COmbat recon… both captains death (it usually happens in the forst 2 minutes in t3)… i could thing everything but that lame vcov ops pilot was going to use self destruction at full hp and shield…

CR is half the time a stand off and win/loss by kills, and the other half it is captains death within 2 minutes.

And if a CO uses SD at full health, then you should have no problem tanking him at all.

 

And you should actually play T3 when saying things about weapons used there. gauss has been used more often since this patch yes, but no more than the other weapons.

Just had an idea. 

 

What about create a new game type… a sort of “hrdcore team vs team pro mode”. 

 

Different queque, 4 men teams , 4v4 matches only (offcourse you can queue only with full team)…basically somethig completly different from Sector Conquest.

 

Different Rules: No mix Tiers at all , No Long Range allowed, Max 1 Guard and 1 Eng per team [no frigballs]… exetera exetera.  

 

You could use a sort of Rank System for it too…

 

 

Also, max 1 or 2 ints per team then. What do you think?

You’re not alone lol, Idk where all this bitchin’ is comming from, but I enjoy T3 and I’ll not move foward till the playerbase is higher, the few matches I played in T4 were complete bullshit.

Depending on the game I sometimes see more or less LRFs, 2-3 in each side, and indeed, if you kill them once or twice they’ll change the ship.

I rarely see ppl with gaus cannon. Even with the aim assistance ppl don’t know how to shot and prefer the classic railguns or the bubble guns.

 

And about combat recon… unless the captain is xxxx and picks a fed engi, tackler or gunship they rarely die.

 

The captain chosing system is xxxx, some ppl squad up with new players in tier 1-2 ships and they are chosen as captains, why? Idk

At least when I’m not capt I can ensure there will be at least 1 engi (and with modules on lol)

Id say 1 ecm max is mandatory.

CovOps and Recons are aimply as good as their pilots are…so personally i don t see any reason to set a limit. But anyway rules can be specifically discussed later…as first we should understand if player base likes the idea and if devs are up to make it true.

No really he can anyway play a guard in the guards swarm…or aany ship set for 6km range…not like u need aim anyway so…

I am really sorry I brought the squad stuff up again, now. I did read the first page so actually I didn’t think you would comment on that.

 

Killsquads were really more a problem of progression imho, they kept T4 almost clean for a long time. However, IF, and only, IF a larger population would have had T5 back then, from various groups, 4 people can combine and counter combine more different setups, which was not possible back then, because the T5 were always on the ‘other’ side.

 

I do agree, 4 players or 3 does make a difference if your whole squad is skilled, or especially in a 4v4, 3v3. But as a player, not much has changed. I think MM adjustments, new weapons, new modular system, new game meta, etc. has changed more; I say this, because 3 squad and 4 squad play made little difference in T3 in terms of unfair matches, but they cleared up in the last month, so matches are much more close now - but that’s really not based upon the squad change at all there, because it really started weeks after this change.

 

I love T3 because you get bigger battles there, and honestly, this game gets more fun if you come closer to the 10v10+ mark. A small game is usually clearly in the hand of one team from the start, and without the cannon fodder, you cannot really turn them around after a while. And in my opinion, squad size reduction had an impact on players leaving this game.

 

Also, I believe, every major change shifts battles for a while into win-loss battles, after being completely chaotic in the first hours, and then it evens out again. I believe harder games are not bad for players, too, because I believe humans only grow into their potential if they are challenged.

 

I do believe you however, that 3 man squads makes it easier for you at the moment, because I also believe, there seem to be missing pieces you have to invent yet for the whole gameplay to be rock solid.

 

I like the changes in the golden ships, since I always keep telling people who like this game and search for a small investment into it, to have the feeling they bought it, but do not want to spend big amount of euros and simply collect all DLCs and stuff, to invest in one or two moneyfarming ships from the golden sort. This change made golden ships a good reason again to be used, either for farming free synergy faster and to have a bigger credit portfolio. Big ++. I just read, something was nerfed, too and became confused.

 

I am not the person who can give a good suggestion to the reticules, not my area, also my age slowly starts to attract bigger indicators over small fuzzy space efficient ones, but I had this feedback from multiple sides, also younger people, so I believe, yeah, it is pretty invisible at times :smiley: Patience granted. :wink:
