But is the aiming reticule really bad right now?

What is this Steam group bonus that the game complains about if you set your profile to private (= anything other than public)?

Fix the lag. Its unbearable. Cant hit anything and its only up to 80 ping. Or is the indicator broken and points in a wrong direction?

 

So far i have only seen the Logos of ESB, IGU and Wonderthunder (dont remember the name accurately). 

ESB seems to be the only Corp of those 3 which has sectors. No Favoritism here.

Jerry Frigates are like giving all Inties the Finger, so dont expect me to have pitty with them.

New tutorial is nice tho. In the second Part it allows you to fly your own ships… was kinda like a wet dream: Beating the crap out of T1 ships with a T4 Gunship. Wish that was a real battle :taunt:  

They did say you need to spend 1500 Iridium to get the logos in, no? Or do corps that entered them in the event got bonus?

The CEO of the corp has to buy the new logo sooo that’s probably why you don’t see NA corps with them yet since its just now morning with the servers up. :confused:

Lol that aiming reticle man. It’s really bad. If we had the option to change it to a different color that would be awesome. Like say BRIGHT GREEN or something. No autoaim is nice, forces people to play better than bots so I appreciate that.

Quick test of the patch:

  • Lead indicator is practically invisible now. I like how players have been asking for a more visible reticle since forever and they go the other way.
  • LAG.

 

1 + 2 = 3. ragequit.

 

With multiphase up LFR can double torp several people at once without dying with ease. Just make sure there’s a random engineer around for heals. Squad is simply unneeded for this kind of play.

 

how’d you figure me out? with positrons on top of that with 6k+ range :smiley:

 

And on guard frig, you can just collect your free kills with a pulsar after driving into the enemy with EM torpedoes trailblazing and engineer a couple kilometers behind you. I guess that’s what was meant by oryntgon’s “teamwork OP, not guard” claim. Because it requires so much teamwork to roll in the same direction as your engineers, when there’s a beacon ahead of you. :facepalm:

 

guards (frigs in general) are good for properly executed pushes. it’s the role of a tank really :\ not ‘anti-inty’…

 

the problem with frigballs isn’t their stats/mechanics… it’s people… they don’t focus down engineers… recons don’t spy drone them, coverts are too scared of losing DSR to actually do anything (when i play covert i down engineers all day, 1-for-1 trades in many cases, but worth it). ecms also don’t disable engineers when they’re being focused to remove their heals, or disable commands at the proper times.

 

i really don’t see a problem with that. i mean, take rpgs - if you dont disable/kill the prot/heal monks, you most likely won’t stand a chance at killing any of their melee/ranged.

 

people just have to learn to focus/disable engineers.

i was wondering why i was taking no damage and 2-shotting them… the second part of the tutorial doesn’t really explain anything though :slight_smile: just a duck hunt.

 

and the gunship with the cloak. not sure how good that is as a teaching aid ;p

 

inb4; but anyways, why are we wasting time on tutorials when there’s 100 things to fix?

New aiming reticule is hilarious. It’s almost invisible on red maps now. Old one was at least somewhat visible in tight fights, but now I have to lead manually in most combat situation on maps with red background.

I can almost see the thought pattern behind it: “So these guys think they have it bad now? Oh, I’ll show them a BAD reticule!” :angry:

 

Good thing is that I have a lot of practice on manual target leading from PvE.

Btw.: ESB got about 6 sectors since last week. Normally sectors go to Zerg Corps… so what happened?

 

My theory: Many Corps lost members or are inactive (like WPK) due to the patches which are screwing the community with bad layouts and broken balances. 

And since in ESB are many die-hard fans of the game they stay active and cap the sectors. The mass of new not to a corp affiliated members even it out in the lower tiers so that the “dominance” is becoming clear now…

 

In conclusion: It only shows that many players are inactive due to bad patches.

What about negate color? Cursor gets reverse color of pixels that are under it

Yep. Griefing the players is the only reasonable explanation. At least I cannot come up with another.

Yea, you can solo any ship with any other ship, but you never get “real” 1v1 conditions.

 

Try every single rank 12+ match.  I ground up the gunship as my first (and only, so far) rank 15.  Once I got to the agronaut the grind was almost unbearable.  xilr, Bot-A and Bot-B vs SomeToolWith2Ceptors1Tacklerand1Engi, Bot-A and Bot-B every single game.  I must have done a hundred 1v1’s vs ceptors and I have a absolute hatred of them from that.  1v1 they still pwn everything but a guard.  My flimsy gunship can be totally dead in less than the 10 second lockdown.

 

When tier 4 and tier 5 is populated, ceptors will be brought back in line with the rest of us.  Right now if you want free wins, get a T4/T5 ECM then whip the crap out of the poor sucker who has to slug thru 1v1s to try to level his ship.

well, i may be Ace yet, but i find some battles where guards do very well, but in others they are squished to oblivion, like that one with 3 beacons that we enter portals to accelerate easily from one to the other, because that one you pratically have no cover to use the guard. Ints see you from 15Km away and 4 of them com straight at you and blast you into oblivion before an ally can make a diference.

 

I see fights where from 13 players in one side, about 10 are ints, and they go on rampage smashing everyone faces even thou the other team is made of a balanced variety of ships. Of course there are many xxxx ppl (sometimes me included) but if u see that always more than half of the team is made up of ints you can really see wich ship class is really imbalanced, not guards, not engeneers, not fighters, but ints, they fly to you, nuke, use all that increasing dammage mods, and scadush there goes a guard.

 

And ppl complain about frigballs, i’ve never seen a group of more than 2 guards moving together, but i’ve seen a LOT of covertballs moving to one place and other killing anything in their paths.

 

That is not mentioning when we get xxxx teams like, 5 vs 5. And then we look at the teams, my team, noone with rating bigger than 1100, and only flying initial T3 ships. The other a bunch of 1600 rating, 1500, all flying powerfull T4 ships.

 

There are many problems in the game now, thats for sure, like the obscure (xxxx sometimes) way sinergy is calculated to players, I understand it is still alpha, or beta, dont know, but it seems they are kinda undecided about what to do exactly, and the possibilities are that they follow the world of warcraft balancing way: Oh, lots of ppl are complaining that some class is weak, lets buff em up, and BOOOOM that class starts being completely OP, and in one or two months more than half the players are playing with only that class since others are not capable to withstand anything, and im starting to see it here, all i see in pvp are interceptors, they come by the dozens. Yeah their survivability is low, but imagine if it wasnt??? if they could survive like a frig and move fast as lighting (as they already do), do ridiculous amounts of dammage (wich they already do) they would be invincible, and then, 99% of the comunity would only play interceptors, what fun that would be…
