The PVE will actually be made possible to do with only 3 pilots, instead of group+random. Possibly with increased rewards?

PVE should be made possible with 1 or 2 pilots for double or four times the rewards. It’s not like - if you play with randoms - 2 or 3 are always afk or ignoring objectives anyway.

Btw, looked at that link and Skula posted in there at #8 to point out that those are just fan made patch notes, nothing official. Might want to mention it with your post above because I took it for the real thing at first.

Was entirely possible when we still had infinite drone swarms. Now it’ll really take that long I guess.

But I typically run Shipyard 1/3 only to quickly do the beacon capture contracts - if the other three aren’t all in interceptors and instantly dead as they usually are I might actually stay in the mission but usually I just drop out after the two beacons I need for the contracts, and for that it would be even better if I could just spawn solo in the first place.

Hmm, My understanding has always been that IIN was official but just veiled in mystery and roleplay…

Well, I just went looking for it and it resides in the fan projects section on these forums, too. So dunno. We’ll find out when we get the official patch notes tomorrow.

The warnings should be clear, not some hidden message Zap :stuck_out_tongue: I know you like suiciding your fleet and all, but we prefer to stay alive :wink:

They’re most likely talking about finally adding functional “near miss” and “hit” sounds for singularity and “incoming” and “hit” for EM torpedo.

hehe, but i actually want more warning sounds if my ship is in critical shape, kill-confirmations suddenly by a distorted computer voice and of course the ship losing various parts, exploding terminals and dangling cables in my hud. :smiley: not to mention a paranoid whistling repair droid suddenly bursting into excitement if i escape through asteroids, pressing warp with a will smithy haha-haha and reaching my engineer with a thud.

 

however i feel the explosion sounds, especially hearing a ship pop in SCon is pretty much the sound you expect, and it is the most beautiful of all. that does sound a bit dampened.

Well, i had proof today that the main problem regarding lagg are the russian servers, even pings from where i live shows 10% packet loss in about 5 thousand ping attempts. To the other 2 servers, no packet loss happened.

 

Since im far away from russia (i live in Brazil), i can feel the most of this loss of packets, and high latency, that translates into stop motion games, ships teleporting in my sight, shots being fired after 2 seconds i press the button, sometimes fires instantly, most times takes half a second.

 

I think that the matches shouldnt be put 80%¨of them in the russian, but in the european, so we will see if the so called pros from russia or nearby are really that good when they have a little higher latency, like everyone else…

In the launch game window, you can select your preferred region to play in in the bottom right of drop-down menu, right next to the “engage” button. If you’re in Brazil, most of your internet connection is routed through USA. As a result, I’d recommend queuing on USA servers.

That feature doesn’t work. If I select Europe I wait 5 minutes and then get a forced 3v3 with bots, no matter if there are 2.5k players online or 500. Was like that every single time I tried.

I recommend against using it unless you like 3v3. Instead leave it on “Any” and play during your country’s prime time and you’ll typically get on the best server for you anyway.

PS: Just tried it again to make sure it didn’t get fixed (lol, as if). Selected Europe. Canceled queue at 4m40s because I didn’t want to get the 3v3, selected “Any” server instead and got into a match on the EU server within 3 seconds. So server selection is still 100% broken.

That’s not the issue though. What I said was that if I select “Europe” I won’t get a full battle and will have to wait 5 minutes or more. If I cancel and select “Any” and re-queue with the same ships I’ll get a fight immediately on the European server that I wanted (only during EU prime ofc, otherwise I’ll get RU or NA server).

Selecting EU has worked flawlessly before, even with current patch. There’s simply not enough active games anymore. Personally I prefer waiting a little longer to get into games that I can actually play comfortably.

I just had another US game a moment ago. I usually notice it because I hit walls a whole lot more than usual due to slow controls response. Then I hit F11 and see the 160 ping in red and yeah…

 

I’d still prefer fast games over waiting for a long time to get one, even if that one gives me lower ping times.

Typically happens when people select a specific server, which seems somewhat broken. Instead of building a session for their preferred server from the “Any” pool it seems to queue them separately. But eventually they time out and then it pulls some poor soul from the “Any” queue into their battle regardless (if necessary) and fills the rest with bots. That happened before the patch as well already.

I think it’s broken as well.  When it came out I used it some.  It was mostly 5v5 matches.  They weren’t bad matches but I don’t like those small random teams.

Sure, thats one way to deal with it, surelly i dont get those huge laggs that i get on russian servers, but then ill be fighting 2x2 battles, 1x1, 3x3+ 1 bot. Thats after 6-8 mins of waiting. Or, like in some cases im moved to the russian server anyways and forced to play a laggy match.

 

 

And if you dont mind, could you tell me what are the prime times for each zone? Cause i play in the morning (here in brazil) and i find most fights without lagg. I fight after midday until 6pm and there is 2400 players online, and massive amount of lagged matches. Then after 6pm, i get matches with good latency very often, but the online player base goes down to 500-600 even lower, and even queueing for ANY i get into 4x4 battles, 3x3 + bot etc etc etc…
