I’m actually quite looking forward to try these changes - but I’m at work for many more hours :frowning:

which is kinda dumb considering even an ECM can shred a 75k ehp guard… you’ll be dead before the disables wear off… or a covert…

  1. Not even the Inquisitor-S can reach to 75k ehp, you must be thinking of the Naga.

  2. An ECM will NEVER even scrape the shields off a Guard if the pilot has half a brain.

  3. The Guard will trigger the Pulsar TWICE before you take away its shields.

  4. Have you EVER flown anything other than a Command in T3, yet?

offering mk1 will be nice for “new” modules like engines !!!

Note that this is critical damage bonus and not critical chance. This isn’t as OP as it first looks.

On the topic of lags, that some players may experience:

At the moment we are prepairing a hotfix, that should solve the problem.

this patch xxxx destroyed the game! it lags so much now in every match that i see enemys do instant jumps from one place to another place 100-200 meters or so away… FIX THIS xxxx! :angry:

Holy xxxx-weed, batman! I never thought of seen an Engineer with LESS hp than a Guard, I’m actually stunned…

well, at least one thing is certain: i have a couple million in useless mods… again… adaptive shield is now useless in most situations… it’ll only work when afterburning forwards, which means its useless 

I’m in the same boat. But my afterburners are always on. Ad I’m always at max speed, thus I have to show NASA my attack run technique I borrowed from home world.

Awww. I want to fly with you. I got into a fender bender this morning so I’m at home all sad with my car in pieces. Evil, do you want to set up some practice matches against NASA and WPK for testing reasons and getting everyone in a discussion about it these new changes?

Im new to the game, like 3 days old and i frakin love it! I didn’t play ANY other game last 3 days… While i am new and inexperienced, the patch did strike me as a nerf towards command ships.

I fly a machette type- S right now and the general stats seem fine, though when you take into account the passive modules i had before which gave me ressists which made me at least survivable in the first 5seconds against enemy ECM and frigs, not to mention the gunboats, the new modules which increase energy fail to provide survivability which i had before this new patch.

 

Can gm reply with some numbers, like i said im new to the game, but survivability then and now…

I guess il just be a bucket to kick around in battle again like i was before i started flying the type s machette… -.-

I’m both excited and nervous for this change, but why am I getting the feeling that the 2mil I grinded last night is going straight into mod replacement rather than towards an Ira Deus?

Patch looks promising, gotta see the numbers though

well, at least one thing is certain:

proj splitter on the other hand will make it even harder to dodge on guard/engi than it already is…

 

so basically frigate nerf, hardcore…

Wait up a sec.  Propaganda doesnt help the situation.  Ya ECM’s are OP.  But I’m not buying the ECM killed a 75k hp guard in a 1v1.  Wild exaggeration just provides fuel for the “'cepters are fine” crowd (who coincidentally pwn everyone with their 'ceptors).

 

Frankly the only real counter to the ECM is a heavily fortified Guard.  But lets at least admit that the guard pilot can handle the ECM.  We still are free to point out the Engineer, LRF, Command, Gunship, and Tackler all still get smoked to the ECM.

Nah, my post didnt need any adjustment.  Engineers might have the best chance of of the other 5, but Gunships?  No friggen way.  Gunships die hard to ECM.  I’m sure you know that people can hear “overdrive” being fired up.  I’m sure you also know that Combat reboot doesnt work if your already locked out of modules.  I’m sure you also know that most ceptors (which include the ECMs) will fly faster than the Gunship can consistently track.

Patches and fixes are often done to balance the higher Tiers, leaving the lower Tiers (T1/2/3) feel gimped, overlooked and utterly ignored by anyone with a voice, despite 90% of the matches being fought there.
