As a Mac user I feel insulted.

 

there’s a simple solution for that as well: don’t insult yourself by using a mac for gaming ;p

 

btw, 1-2 second lag on RU server right now, but ping says 150… so i’m assuming it’s a server issue… :\

That s probably because you are used to be usless :slight_smile: Joking…anyway when you have a fball with 2 or more guards patroling a beacon there is absolutely nothin you can do as an int out of following your own fig sqaud when and if they charge. But point isn t about interceptors anyway, point is about how bloody slow and boring gameplay is when you have so many frigates around.

It’s not really the frig balls, it’s the aoe damage. Between torpedoes and coil mortars you stand little chance to engage a skilled frigate pilot.

Just had a battle vs a team which had 8 ECM. There was little time I didn’t spend shut down between deaths. If you want boring, that’s what boring. That entire class is just wrong… at least against frigates you can shoot back.

If the enemy has 8 engies they will seem OP, when they have 8 guards they will seem OP, and that is so with basicly every class! It doesn’t mean something is wrong with the class, it just means they had better teamwork.

Didn’t say OP, just said it’s entirely boring to be shut down all the time. ECM is not OP, more like rage inducing, in particular in combination with jericho torps. :wink:

6k range at about a quarter damage of what fighters dish out but inties have mods to make up for it.

 

so a typical covop run would go

  • snipe

  • spray and close in

  • web

  • WNJ

  • spray some more until jammer wears off

  • rocket

  • arc

  • nuke

  • farewell rocket

  • camo

  • GTFO

 

ECM should come in with stun just before the arc to delay him from running away and to protect againt torp as covop close in. LRF torp should finish him off as CovOp is bugging out.

 

so many other combos you can come up with.

I could argue that you’d need a lot of inties to overcome an engineer with that, but the truth is that I love hunting other inties too much to fit plasmas even though I found purples of those. :open_mouth:

PCs are too dumb to run FCP and Pro Tools. Besides, my Mac runs SC fine.

 

As for servers… I guess I’m too far away from all three servers so I can’t tell the difference. Ping is always high no matter which server I pick.

No but really, even if you end up creating the best game of all times here: if the lag persists there will be nobody left to play it.

Is that all you found?.. I’m disappointed. There are about half a dozen more game-breaking things in this game. Gotta find’em all.

I’ve gotten credit for killing covops when they self destruct before now. I just don’t know how it works…

 

The ECM thing feels like a bug to me. Hope they fix it.

Hold on… engies can slowly amass an army of drones. Is this supposed to be how it works?
