Yesterday I reached the end of my tether in regards to ECM and it got to the point I started to whine about it, all thanks to energy drain.

That shiz was like inhibitor beam rolled in with ion emitter on your modules which also gives them energy and costs nothing to use. I couldn’t even pop off 51 en flares to remove the shiz.

Today a patch comes out nerfing it by almost 50%.

I’m happy, and calling this timely would be an understatement!

Also, nice to see ECM are getting a buff to their passive bonuses similar to that of recon/covops in conjunction with the new stat. (I presume that is what the ‘ECM ships now have reduced heating rates’ is)

Good work new-devs! I like what I read, hopefully I like what I see too when servers back up.

1 less sec in stasys doesn’t mean ANYTHING while u are focus fired … STASIS should be REMOVED. That’s all. And the only chnage ECMs needed…

 

And pulsar must be interrutible. 

Stasis is fine. I rarely if ever die in stasis even on ints unless I make a major mistake. If you build your ship wrong, and are very successful at not using cover, then you’re asking for it.

 

If pulsar would be interruptable, no one would ever take it. Every single ECM with more then half a clue would just ion guard’s pulsar off every time. The entire point of pulsar is to counter interceptors.

Anyway, con i suggest you a total refound for ECM modules (premium expecially) people bought?

 

If they want them anyway they can buy back, if they don’t … well u make people less angry.

But in real life, most goods don’t change after I buy them. My steak knife doesn’t suddenly shrink by 2" and lose its serrated cutting edge.

I’m pretty sure that a steak knife does in fact get duller in use.

even after this patch, game is still bad. lol, and if players cannot choose what “game mode for each battle will be” then it kinda sucks, you have to go into random battles each single time you search for game.

I disagree with this wholeheartedly. If this is done (like Call of Duty and similar games), some game modes will be deserted. In addition, people will min-max and find out what the fastest modes are to ‘grind’. Also, any form of statistics would become meaningless as people might only be playing a single game mode over and over.

 

All in all, this is a very bad idea. If you want to play a specific game mode - create a custom game. For ‘normal’ play, being forced to randomly play all game modes makes people better players.

Moreover, the steak knife analogy allows me the opportunity to avoid dulling; I can sharpen a blade. I can’t reach in and re-write the game’s code to give me back the stats on a module the Devs have tampered with.

You die in stasis like everyone else does when you are fighting organized “ecm based” teams. 

 

Point in Stasis is it’s not a one bottom win skill for the ecm pilot himself… but it is if u base ur team gamplay on that.

 

And there are no way to counter it. Your teammates can’t save you if u (as interceptor pilot, or trakler/gunship singularity ) get immobilized and 3 guys focus on u.

 

So basically, wanna leave stais ingame? Well introduce another module for any ship able to REMOVE stasis effect.

Atm pulsar is an “make all interceptors and 2/3 fighters run ayway if they can” bottom.

well its not really made any game mode wich is faster to finish. it was supposed to be finished in ca 12 min each one, what you do then is fixing the hole setup so they wont go so fast afterall, and like, each time i come to capture the beacon im like, omg i hate this game mode its so boring. (before you could actually choose to play that mode or arcade*) arcade should be everything except that mode

I am overall okay with the ships I use and their respected nerfs / buffs I read - in theory.

 

I will cry a bit for the Torpedo range. The team raging which I luck-killed in my Gator3 yesterday at that beacon (was it really 8? or 7? I was in a delirium) will hooray.

 

I do see an ECM nerf as needed. You’ll get over it Zap :slight_smile: I wave the flag, Sir.

 

I miss…

Guards are okay as they are, however the LRF torps from jericho might be cooler if we could at least try to shoot them / target them (ceptor passive / sensor module / ability and secondary effect on the cloak detection drone to make them targetable/vulnerable maybe? secondary buff effect for AMS? At least some counter, because a 3-man squad of 2 LRF’s and one Engineer rocks Realistic too hard)

 

I miss something done about squad sizes. Or did I overread that? Just because we stopped complaining does not mean, we did not mean it. Any data in this regard you might receive has probably more to do with people ranking up slowly, than positive effects of that nerf, while the data you receive from your customers right here right now should be considered evidence.

The price for colors scales with the tier?

660 GS for painting a Tier 5 ship is a bit much. Tier 1 ships only cost 300 GS which would be more viable for me. 

 

Heating time of ECM guns is  INCREASED?! Thats a bit harsh, isnt it? The viability of the plasma gun just went downhill, since I have to shoot to get the spread decreased!!

 

The whole Jerry CovOps line is broken in terms of colors btw. theyre all greenish, which isnt a very attractive color. 

 

Sorry, but so far, there is nothing much good to say… I very much appreciate the effort you put into the coloring Option, but please give a fair and same price for all Tiers. like about 150 GS for a permanent color. I think that would be fair.

no nerf to energy absorber really,

 

the ‘nerf’ to statis/ion won’t do anything, it’s their FUNCTION that’s the problem…

 

basically, you removed the tactical option, did absolutely nothing to nerf the broken option, and then added a huge buff to weapon inhib.

 

overall, this is a ECM buff, not nerf!

that works, but honestly, not really because they’re so slow. it will probably break them. what you need is damage to different target types. less to inty, more to frigate. why doesn’t anyone ever listen to the professionals?
