Combat Reboot is awesome, removes drones, shield drain, plasma web, tackler and guard speed debuffs… you can even tank a whole octopus taking 0 damage…
Thats true, but tacklers can de buff you again as soon as the reboot runs out, same with guards. But yeah, I agree, combat reboot is way better than flares because if you have good timing, they can function as a complete missile shield. It comes in more handy than flares 99% of the time

they can’t debuff you again with the slow mod, but they can disable your afterburners again, yes
I don’t think ECMs need nerf. Their modules are fine… they are needed because ECM’s damage output isn’t as high as covert ops and it doesn’t have the xxxx-out ability of recon
A module that, in my opinion, should be removed all together. It’s sad to see people dying just because of that thing. Like raymaru said: some guys (or girls) in esb, you can simply not kill without stasis.
Yeah let’s remove weapons and missles as well… these things are dangerous you know, destroying ships and stuff

emp gunships aren’t particularly fast either, maybe i’ll swap particle purge for it since the moment opponents find out i have pp it will be easy for them to simply stay out of range of pp on my pseudofrigate
Voices to nerf the ECM, or more change it’s role have been around since forever. It’s in no way a response to the Recon nerf. No worries there.
Even before the recon nerf, the ecm was technically stronger, because of it’s ridiculous survival rate. It’s not a joke, that they were for a long time the only viable Captain ship.
I disagree about 3 mines in the recon, and say, 4 would have been perfect. The shield drain of the recon has been buffed over the last couple patches - sometimes even ninja - so turning it down a bit was okay. Spy Drones had really a big timer, so the nerf was actually needed.
The Recon wasn’t really nerfed, it was just corrected back a bit, since it got too buffed, and was too underused once, and overused in the last months. However it was not OP.
However the ECM was always stronger, and the only reason people don’t like that ship is it’s slower damage output and partly boring playstyle. The disappearance of ECMs was way more to the tackler becoming more viable, than the ship being underpowered.
It is still the best interceptor choice for starters, or people used more to fighters and frigates.
I for one do not see them needing a nerf, however they most certainly don’t need a buff, rather some fresh new perspective.
Haha, funny how the patch version went from 0.9.9 down to 0.9.10. Clearly enough star conflict shall always be open beta just like all those other games that have been so for like 7 years ;). Anyway, hope the new patches which I’ve missed during inactivity are good additions :).

They were the only viable captain ship for a simple reason. It’s an interceptor so it can dodge fire, and it’s an interceptor that can force it’s attacker to stop firing for up to 12.8 second in idealized circumstances. It’s a damage preventer. Recons and CovOps are still the killers.

Favouritism plays a big role, as well. The so called “testers” are there to provide us with a stable gameplay, something they’ve failed to do, as well, tilting the game in their favour. Then, in-game, those imbalances are discovered and, possibly, dealt with.

I did warn you, CONSISTENTLY, to not launch it until the game was fixed. There are STILL a lot of broken things in this game, including P2W elements. Do you really want to release another Warthunder or World of Tanks? Here’s what’s gonna happen: the active community will be dropped to zero, the aces will remain and you get zero income. I… don’t quite think that’s what you want…
The ECM’s biggest problem remains it is not fun to fly AGAINST.
Being shut down is frustrating. Having your modules shut down is frustrating. Having no counter to either saps the fun.
Prety much every other class has counters. You can counter Guard debuffs and Pulsar by keeping out of range; LR and Gunship are rendered harmless by cover; Recons lose a lot of their potency if you stay in a group.
But ECM? Nothing. There is no counter, no way to escape. They unplug your keyboard and there is no way to stop it.
This NEEDS to change. Even if it was as simple as their debuffs needing line of sight, it would at least offer a counter.
You could also pay attention to the battlefield a little you know…like look where their ECM is at, don’t go way out into empty space by yourself, don’t overextend past enemy lines, etc.
There is a counter to ECM though…CO. White noise them before you fly in for the kill. Easy as that. Most of the learning curve is timing the White Noise to coincide with your teams push.

Game sense and attention to the surroundings counter disables, always was and always will. Good example Dota like games (Not LoL) tons of stuns and disables and all of it makes those games much more action packed games.
