Ah, people who say that lasers are bad. Good to know that there are new people that are still coming into the game with the low player count we’ve been having lately.
Don’t worry. If you stick with the game long enough, you will learn that lasers fill a very important niche and are a very good weapon in proper hands. Keywords: “proper hands”.

I use heavy lasers myself and their strong point is: No leading and long range. weakness is: no “aiming compensator”.
This results a weapon that is weak against: small targets, targets that move fast, targets that pitch fast, targets that are far away (and therefore small size), targets without a shield (the hitbox becomes way smaller then). The weapons strenghts are: high damage on the average shot due to being closer to its optimal range (unless you are within you optimal range), hitting large slow targets that move unpredictable.
tl;dr : This weapon is good against frigates that are moving, good at striping shields and deals very high damage at ranges that are above other weapons optimal ranges.
Seriously not impressed with the stealth nerf to warp gates. It’s only going to drive people further away from playing that class, and that is not what we want. Engineers are needed, they just need to be balanced so they can’t totally negate all incoming damage.
This is due to technical issues.
We want to gather some feedback on the colours and according to this it may happen that we will have to remove certain colours and this would make the players with the permanent purchase frustrated.
This problem does not exist for stickers, but due to technical facts we have decided to make colours and stickers have the same duration for a certain time.
Furthermore we still need to add the paintings for rank 7-12 ships and after this we will think about re-adding the permanent option.

WHAT IS SO HARD to understand in the fact that NO ONE will buy temporary colours for GS?
If you want a test run, just go ahead, do it with only limited time, only credit options - all people will buy colours, you got to test it and since they are temporary no one will get angry when they get wiped before releasing permanent colours.
I also really, really, dearly hope that stickers got temporary-only because they run from the same customization than colours. I hope they got changed back too…

The engineer is still not only viable but still very strong after the patch. (I actually couldn’t really feel the nerf the first game). I’m not saying they’re still needing more nerfs, but for now its definately closer to where it should be. The excesss warpgate CD honestly just made me switch that slot out for something else, it won’t be used with the CD it has now.

Warp Gates are useless, it just means you have to surround your engineer everywhere he goes. And for T2 its underpowered the Engineer while the T3 is okay as it is.

Error, while I get what you’re trying to do… Please just make the colors cost Credits for now and then we’ll test them out. I haven’t found it yet, but if you promise a refund for purchased temp/test colors, I’ll happily test them out and provide feedback. But currently, I won’t buy any.

The transport ship which was taking them to outpost Steam in the Valve sector was unfortunately attacked and seized by a group of unidentified raiders. We currently await further news from the local authorities in Valve.
On a serious note:
We have forwarded all required data to Valve, it is up to them to add the packs.

Nice change, no more bomb camping.
This was what happend:
Both teams lost 1 beacon
Both teams held 1 bomb
We lost because they killed more ships…instead of the usual draw.
Not sure if it is a 3 step thing, or a 2 step where bombs no longer matter though

That is exactly what the game NEEDS. There are NINE classes in this game. Not two. People need to start playing something other than “cross inside square” and “two bricks”.
As it stands right now, engineer population needs to be cut down by at least 75-80%, probably more for situation to even begin to normalize.

I use Assault Plasma on my frigate after a long journey of testing many variations of weapons, modules, and implants, and I believe Plasma is supposed to be the hardest type of weapon to hit targets.
Heavy weapons have never been a choice for a frigate, at least that’s what I see.
Don’t worry, if you stick with the game long enough, one day you’ll look back upon this post and think “hah, even I was this clueless at one point”.
Experience will come with time. And being slaughtered by enemies using actually good weapons. It’s a result of these two interacting with each other :lol:

I do not talk about training tier balance unless I specifically state that I’m talking about training tiers.
In actual play tiers such as T3 and T4, you will struggle if your team composition is less than at least half engineer/guard. You will have a really good time if 4/5 are in those ships. As a result, the latter has started to become the norm.
On the other hand, you’ll struggle to find more than one recon or tackler. Or even a single sniper.
