Awesome change to engineers, even if parts of their issue remains.
Tacklers kinda needs high speed to not be outrun by intercepters to hard aswell the energy to tackle them, but the Wolfs dident really need more speed in my opinion (wolf is my top 3rd most played ship). I would be happy if tacklers was faster than other fighter and there was a rank 9 tackler that could be earned by playing, just my 2 cents.
I never saw anyone on the English speaking side ask for a mix up of both normal and realistic in sector conquest. Now i can understand that the big nasty players from the big nasty corporations want this so they can score even more easy wins . Cause lets face it, these teams already roll over most matches with randoms and now they will do it more easily. Then off course there is the 4th slot which means an extra tricked out complete blue and experimental ship to pound the not organized randoms. And then we haven’t spoken yet about the matchmaking which puts low ranking players with +1 tier ships( tier 2 battles with some tier 3 enemies) in your match, and now your fighting realistic so one death is ship gone, example you get killed by a nuke in t2 by a t3 ships way to go!!. O you build your ship on resistance and have a buddy with an engineer, so your shield are gone you fly to him dodging bullets, when ya finally arrive you get no healing cause he a. did not or could not drop his healer beacons, b. some random came over with 1 less hull/shield then you so he gets healed and you die after your valiant efforts to reach your healing buddy. I must see how this patch will work on the long run, but in the immediate future i see problems and grieve for most of the player base, and we are not even talking about the pay to win premium missiles or the better then free ships premium ships(have another post on that). So personally i do not like these new changes and i think they only favor the big corporations and not the average player. ( yes i am part of dynamis but i also fly alone on regular basis). And again why can i not find a single topic about this, i want more realistic battles so force others to do it, cause i want to own people in my super ships with my 4th slot tier 2/3.
I know this is a lot but when biking around this morning i had time to think,
so blame me, flame me for my 2 cents worth but i see problems not solutions in this patch.
We will see about that. Statistics and feedback will help to figure out if something wrong.

The speed of shield regeneration (personal) is not proportional to the size of the vessels, nor the size of shields,
The Guard of the federation already had big advantages:
More heavy missiles and mediums

The capacity of the tank shields AND the hull (with 100 pts softcap is not complicated especially when you turn your brain to “phase shield”).
The implant GIGAS II scale much better on the federation that jericho.
Once the shields of jericho down, the hull melts like butter in the sun.
For the federation once the shields down, it is still necessary to destroy the hull and there is not so easy. Especially with the mobility it offers, it will take cover a lot faster than jericho.

You dident say anything about the fact that jericho have more shield strenght than federation, which is very important for guards.

Yeah, we have. Me and two other NASA pilots both found evidence - both in game observations and stats changes - that suggest Frigate Balls are as strong or stronger than before.
I think one of the big things here is that solo pilots tended to use remote heals purely for themselves. Now they can drop one and run away - the heal remains to buff the team and they aren’t priority targets anymore because, well, the damage is done.
