That’s gonna be hell, though. Will the game actually say which type it is before you get into the fight? Or will you only find out when you brought one ships and can’t respawn with it anymore?

 

 

it’s absolutely awful. why would i like to switch my ship all the time? i am not able to put the same ship in all slots…why would anyone appreciate to be switched in roles every single time?

 

i don’t understand it and i hate it already.

Have you already tried this in battle? 

I played a few games just now. Results are downright terrifying.

 

  1. Frigate balls are slightly less powerful but slightly more spread engineers are utterly broken. Example: before when using ECM interceptor I could not punch through both hull and shield mass heals, but I could strip shields (until I hit the hull and both modules started to regenerate hp). Right now, I cannot penetrate shields. AT ALL. I just had a standard game that detorierated into 4v5 about 5 minutes after the start and I literally spent 30 seconds shooting at a command fighter who sat still shooting stabs at our engineer. He did not bother to either move or even activate his diffusion shield because he didn’t have to - his shield bar would move slightly down every time my epic rapid fire plasma connected and immediately jump back to full. It was completely impossible to inflict any damage with 2 epic main guns buffed by 10% imperial buff and 10% pulse discharger.

 

  1. Inclusion of standard because of massive whine on russian forums by a very vocal and very tiny minority resulted in a very predictable disaster - most people hate the mode and tend to die very fast in it. This results in games where most players on both teams have to wait some 7-10 min for the game to end. Quite a few simply disconnect. Remaining few cannot poke out of cover because they’ll get shot down, and without squad level organisation you cannot push without dying in the end game phase of standard games.

 

Both 1. and 2. tend to accumulate in the same games causing a double disaster. Games where things just don’t die, and no one will still try to attack because it’s too pointless to leave the stationary heals to engage enemy sitting in their stationary heals when both teams have 5 or less players left alive.

 

I hope you will hotfix these problems asap. As it stands right now, the game has taken a huge leap from “imbalanced but fun” and well into the realm of “unplayably broken in terms of balance and annoying to play” when standard match pops.

 

For the record, I’m the one of the survivors pretty much every time, so I’m not whining “because I suck and should learn not to die”. I just don’t enjoy those low number end games where no one does anything for 7-10 minutes.

As I said in another discussion of patch:

 

The base resistance of the shell is higher than that of the shield,

 

The speed of shield regeneration (personal) is not proportional to the size of the vessels, nor the size of shields,

 

The Guard of the federation already had big advantages:

     More heavy missiles and mediums

     better mobility

     Larger capacitor

     The capacity of the tank shields AND the hull (with 100 pts softcap is not complicated especially when you turn your brain to “phase shield”).

 

The implant GIGAS II scale much better on the federation that jericho.

 

Once the shields of jericho down, the hull melts like butter in the sun.

For the federation once the shields down, it is still necessary to destroy the hull and there is not so easy. Especially with the mobility it offers, it will take cover a lot faster than jericho.

That requires the shield TO go down. Any smart Jericho Guard pilot will just whiff you away. I’ve fought 1v1 against several Federation Guards (not sure on what gear they had, though). My Crus-S can, most of the time, give them a go for their money and they usually have to expend a lot more missiles than I do to take me down. This is SOLELY due to the fact that Jericho Guards take full advantage of the Phase Shield, whereas you only use it to get an extra second of shields, because your tank is mostly on armor (as I’ve seen most Federate Guard pilots use).

 

Ok, I will once again relate your concerns to our balancing team. 

Please don’t. As I said above, Federate Guards (for the most part) focus their tank on armor when it should be on shields, to make use of the Phase Shield. If the devs change that so it’ll affect armor as well, I’m done with this game, because you’ll have effectively removed ALL Jericho Frigates from the game.

 

What they need to do is to either slightly nerf the Gigas II implant or make the other two more appealing than they currently are.

Because once your ship is destroyed, it’s meant to be unusable. You escape unscathed and can then get another ship from the Dreadnought on the field to run the field again.

 

 

OHH!! You know what the devs should definitely add? The Dreadnoughts on the skybox.

Yep. Knew that was gonna happen, saw it happen the moment they said Realistic would come in play in Domination matches.

If indie pilots want to play arcade no one prohibits them from this.  They just need to use Custom Battle to find and fight other indie pilots.

You open Custom Battle screen, then find room and then you’re free to go and fight. You can create you own room too with map and mode of your choice. And this whole activity takes less than a minute… so… what’s so hard there?

oh yeah, people totally use that system! 

only freaking missions and custom battles, no normal arcade or realistic! yeah, total fun!

 

edit: I WAS TALKNIG ABOUT THE FACT EVERYONE HAD 3 OR 4 SHIPS. before it was 2-3 on avarage! now its 4!

By the way, your developer assist thing doesn’t work - I’ve been trying to highlight the spelling errors in ship descriptions, but because you can’t keep the stat window on a ship open it can’t be done.

 

How are we supposed to suggest changes to the description of ships and/or their modules if this information cannot be highlighted?

You can tell me that this feature doesn’t work properly in all instances. And this information be related to devs in order to adjust the system!

only 1 heals, only 1 gets healed and theres a 60 seconds CD between deploys?

There is a bug, that doesn’t allow people of different factions to get into same fights (because one of those people will be actually attacking his own sector). Try changing group leader in this case.

I just created my own T3 realistic match…if no one joins in the next 4 minutes the system is even more laughable than the previous one.

match making is going nuts. T1,T2 and T3 all in the same game …

But it’s not a nerf…

 

The aura heals are unchanged. The remote heals are now deployed heals. This means that rather than just being used when the owner is dying, they can be dropped and the owner can run off. This means that the solo, non-team orientated Engineer can now be a team player, not just a target.

 

Ergo, Engineers are more effective, and thus harder to break. Especially when combined with a coordinated team.
