Star Conflict OBT v 0.7.12

Mixing Tiers is a complete non-starter . Being able to get on an even playing field super quick with the Tier 1 ships was a really really good thing in this game. No mixing of Tiers is acceptable. If you guys are having trouble maintaining population numbers across Tiers for matchmaking, you should have less Tiers, not be mixing them together.

Not playing this game again till they fix this it’s quite unplayable right now

Just give us some more scenarios, please… If I play that goddamn mission one more time…

Feels there is a lot of rage about the current release, but I kinda’ like it.

It’s fun how people complain about tier mixing, and not getting proper reward. Reading the changelog explains a lot.

By the way, moving the objective arrows on the HUD is great. Now I know what’s going on without memorizing the layout of the asteroids. A few days ago I thought it will be needed.

I was afraid that the Beacon Hunting mode will turn into campfests and 100/0 final scores, but it’s tense, and I found it equally interesting on interceptors and frigates too.

Yeah, increased ship prices hurt a bit, but built in equipment is handy when advancing to a new tier.

Keep up the good work devs!

Anaconda mk II: “Energy Consumption of Sniper Modules Decreased by 20%” - where are these elusive frigate sniper modules?

Same question here

Btw are the devs planning on getting off this crap mkI stuff on ships we wanna buy?

I know a lot of you hate the new patch, but remember there was a poll about which T had better plays?

Well a lot of us voted for “Doesn’t matter what T, The skill does” something like that; I guess that’s why they made the mach making like this.

actually no, only 16% voted for that.

Bug Report (I believe):

Tier 2 Microwave Lens Kits get worse as they get more expensive.

Mark 1:  Lasers Deal EM Damage - Damage Reduced by 1%

Mark 2:  Lasers Deal EM Damage - Damage Reduced by 2.5%

Mark 3:  Lasers Deal EM Damage - Damage Reduced by 4.8%

I assume this is a bug.  I can’t see why I’d want to pay 10x as much for a laser modifer which reduces damage output by an additional 3.8%.

Hopefully, cause every opinion on this that i saw was negative. Maybe they will be smart enof to make this optional.

But nobody from devs didnt reply to this yet, looks like they ignore this and 1k loot drops problem. Makes me think that they did this on intention and wont change it back. Less money u have ingame - more chances that u will donate real money. Common thing.

Personaly i wont bother buying any new ship. I have lots of T3 modules to fit new naked ship. Why should i even pay extra 1-2 millions for nothing. They didnt ever explained this change so i consider it as money-draining. Was it really That hard to make it optional? Doubt that.

This update is great! Thanks a lot!

I’ve been hoping that you’ll do something about the HUD for quite a while, this is already a lot better.

The new ship cost thingy is a bit weird, I’m not gonna comment on it before I bought a new ship and checked out the extra modulse etc. it has.

I guess it was a necessary evil since people got to t4 ships way too quickly. I had hoped that your way of solving that would be adding more ships, though…

Also: I’m a little annoyed that the 90GS stickers cost 120 GS now, mostly because I saved up 90 to buy one exactly yesterday, just to see that I can’t

Why we continued experimenting with the matchmaking:

According to the results of the in-game voting 53% voted for keeping the old system, while 47% voted for a change in one or another form (31% in advanced Tiers and 16% in favor of a single Tier).

This means that nearly half of all players believe that it is possible to improve the performance.

Furthermore the old matchmaker was particularly unpleasant, when you reached a new Tier you had to fight stronger enemies.

You were immediately thrown into a group, where the majority of the other players already had good equipment and ranked ships, it was a hard way until being able to compete against them. With this in mind, we decided to refine the logic of the matchmaker.

Mother always used to say, “If somethin’ ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

The old matchmaking strategy of every tier being separated was not broken. 53% of the player population didn’t feel this needed to change. What is the point in voting, if you aren’t going to listen to the results? The majority of us were happy with the way things were.

I just finished saving up a whopping 4-million credits so I could buy a tier 2 interceptor and fighter with decent kit. Then the patch hit. Now I find myself facing tier 3 ships constantly. I wasn’t the best at tier 1, but I could hold my own. Against these tier 3 ships? Forget it. I am a red smear across the asteroids.

Please remember that sometimes the simple way is the best way. And please, please, PLEASE put matchmaking back the way it was.

The new matchmaking system has just aggravated the issue it was trying to solve.  Instead of being tossed into only a single tier with lesser equipment, you are now subject to 2-3-4 tiers of superior ships.  My games today were incredibly frustrating being blown away by higher tier ships and not being able to respond.  The tiers are not balanced against each other.  Same tier play is much preferable to this mosh pit of pain.

First of all, it is not bad patch. BUT, there are two problems with it.

1.: Matchmaking. It was good in that the shape it was. Why do you changed it guyz? Why??? The matchmaking is a totally fucked up xxxx right now, ruining the whole gameplay.

2.: “Participating in battles with ships of a rank far below yours, gives you less reputation”. Another WHY? Why did you changed this? it was good in the old shape too. But now I had to fly my only one Tech III ship, which is a kind of garbage just because I could not buy the best modules and other stuffs for it. And it is because I have not got anough rank to buy the blue ones, but if I fly lower tech ships it gave me less reputation, so it takes ages to upgrade my rank. And it sucks.

Gery.

Gaijin, please, i hope so far I’ve been courteous enough to actually grab your attention, instead of just screaming, but please;

Look at what your customers, your fans and supporters, are saying.

We really don’t want this - most of us, at least. I agree with the idea, sure, but it was not well done, and just in general doesn’t work. Furthermore, you ignored the vote that your primary source of income gave you on the matter. You will lose a lot of players here, i can tell you now, and you don’t need an economics major to know that.

I really want to play this game for a long time, sink some decent money into it, but right now, it is not enjoyable. I’ll still play, I’m stubborn and not going to go off crying after one bad patch since i started playing.

Let me reiterate, i may paraphrase here, so excuse me;

  • The matchmaking needs either rolled back, or fixed so lower tiers are not with those too high above, or even just same tiers.

  • The reputation gain is still broken, as is the loot. Roll them back as well, or fix. Nobody farms new players, because we are all getting farmed right now - thanks to the matchmaking.

Thats… about the main concerns, actually. Again, Gaijin, listen to us!

Just noticed but I made 6k experience first match of the day and my federation rank didn’t move… In fact I’ve been playing for past few days and all the reputation I’ve gained has not moved my fed rank from 114000/205000. That’s a bug I’m assuming?

Thats… about the main concerns, actually. Again, Gaijin, listen to us!

1: Its not Gaijin that makes the decisions, its Stargem. (and they are listening.)

2: give them a week. lets see how this new MM plays out. Its not permanent(everyone seems to think it is.)

3: if people didn’t want it, why did they vote the way they did?

Also, a further point, i have seen so many players making an account just to post their woes on here. Doesn’t that say something, Gaijin?

1: Its not Gaijin that makes the decisions, its Stargem. (and they are listening.)

2: give them a week. lets see how this new MM plays out. Its not permanent(everyone seems to think it is.)

3: if people didn’t want it, why did they vote the way they did?

  1. Oops, forgive me, didn’t know that, haha!

  2. I hope it isn’t, and i understand its just testing, that’s why i amn’t running around screaming, lol.

  3. Look at the vote. The majority - who has the power of the decision - voted against change. In a parliamentary vote, do they ignore the result if its close, and go with one the higher ups choose? No, they don’t, as far as I’m aware, lol.

I understand its not going to happen overnight, but still, the community is against this change, just like in the poll.

ye when my license runs out, with 3 weeks of xxxx changes

3: if people didn’t want it, why did they vote the way they did?

That’s a bit of a logical fallacy - no one voted for the new match making system, they voted that they thought the old system could be changed/improved. Big difference.

tier 4 implant that increases active module parameters by 25% is not working correctly. It’s boosting my nanodrone cloud but not my mass shield generator.

Adding pilot skill to the algorithm was not a good move. It ensures you will face superior ships every match.
