And for some reasons RFB keeps getting buffs…

I have made some nice experience with RF Blasters in T3 and Pulse Lasers in T5. Much stronger than before - so I guess it will also affect T4.

randoms are very slow on picking up on changes or understanding wsup, so i say give it some time. For now i put supernova on all of my RFBs and it is just lol, especially in t3 (lack of proper builds and average piloting skills of randoms)

Another thing in T3 that i don’t like is Assault-rails… on DEagle, that is just wrong.

I’m still using RFB on covops although I did try pulse lasers and except for range and damage type they were brilliant with curved reflector.

You kidding? Pulses are awesome now. And rfb with the new spread are a bit worse vs interceptors. But so far I’m liking the changes.

Also,assault rails on bonused ships are incredible. The bad fish is really fun.

I was talking about what people use, nothing else. But what RFB spread nerf, did I miss that? Will have to check the stats but am still hitting fine with them.

true, but t3-t5 projectile speed difference is about 300 (F6 implant), so it s relatively close, helps me in Sec Con since i use Supernovas on my RFB there as well.

 But now in T3 i don’t feel helpless vs properly tanked Styx, they die and most fighters stand no chance, so much easier to kill DEs and Nukems now as well. And with inties, if you can trick him into cross face to face engagement, well, you win.

Yep it’s awesome vs fighters + frigates.

Base difference is 300, but -1/3 from supernova you end up with 200 (actually slightly less due to the weird stacking of positive and negative effects in the game). But then try it on a ship like the Nodachi A with 35% EM projectile speed bonus and rejoice. :wink:

All i fly is T3 and Sec Con, i dont plan on flying t4, i skipped it due to the time zones, and nodachi is hardly a good choice for a sec con if you have t5 covops available

No, wasn’t suggesting that ship for SecCon, both t5 interceptors are vastly superior.

Am pretty much done with T4 myself now. Synergized the Argonaut today (took all of 13 battles with the free premium day - they might as well do away with synergy at that rate), only got both ECM lines left now but I feel dirty flying ECM so I’ll probably skip them.

Not my experience. I saw mostly RFBs and some Pulse and Shrapnel was in the mix too.

Not sure if this is the right place in the forum for this, but are there any plans to add death counts to the PvP score screen (as well as a points penalty–100 or so per death) and pilot profile? For some match types it may be worth it, but in other match types, a player who has 7 kills but 5 deaths probably shouldn’t rank as highly as someone who has 4-5 kills but 0 deaths, all else being equal (e.g. beacon captures). Also, it adds a penalty for failed Self-Destruct attempts and abandoning ships.

 

Similarly, a points penalty for killing allies (I don’t fly Jericho LRF’s, so maybe this already exists).

I think the pulse is still meh, I tried all kind of stuff but plasma and rfb are just so much better imo and the worst of all is that it make using rockets a nightmare.

 

I would have whined about the plasma nerf but the supernova buff more than make up for it.

 

Shrapnel still have wayyyyy to much spread, it’s decent against big ships but can you even kill an inty with this ?

This would encourage long range kill farming, as if it wasn’t already bad enough.  I agree with showing the number of deaths (especially in Team Battle and Combat Recon game modes) - and why not a couple of new titles, e.g. “Cannon Fodder” or “Fluffy Pink Bunny Rabbit” that you’d be forced to wear in shame for a few battles  :taunt:   - but there should be no point penalty imo.  If someone is dying a lot but still going for objectives, then why penalise him?

I would wear  “Fluffy Pink Bunny Rabbit”  all the time!
