No, the problem is, this is not the solution for the problem. The problem was: 2-3 squads on one side, 0 on the other. The good solution would have been: distribute the squads as evenly as possible, making a maximum of 1 difference in number of squads.

And as for me, the wait time is the killer. Make the matches as close as possible with who’s in the Q and go to battle. I personally don’t care if it’s unbalanced sometimes. Wars and battles never are. Sometimes your on the winning side sometimes your not. 30 seconds to a minute wait max. After that is just a waste. I don’t have hours a day to wait. I play a couple of battles and then am off to work or sleep. I very rarely squad and it is because of the wait times. I would much rather play more games than have to have them all perfectly matched.

Get used to the queue times. The main problem is the lack of players and that’s not gonna change in the next 3 or more months.
If MM would “match” SecCon style then the queue time would be much shorter but the match result probably the same is it now in PvP Skirmish.

Erm what? Sword AE is rank 14, i.e. 3 ranks higher. You can compare it to the Lance Bartle. Same rank and base stats and personally I find it stronger. I’ll take 2 engine slots and boosted tackler mods over that pirate ship any day.
But they have the same slot numbers, so from rank 11 all ships are the same, except for implants and slot configuration. And the new sawtooth is almost the same in bonuses and slots that the sword AE.

According to Zerk1 (just asked), there is no hard cap on critical chance in the game, meaning if your positrons /gauss have base 51% critical chance, full charged shots will have a critical hit every single time (102% critical chance)

Are you kidding me? This has got to be the most disappointing patch to date. Zero fixes on big, prevailing issues, but plenty of fixes on areas of the game that no one really uses. The Leaderboards are a cool idea, but it would have been better to install the mechanic after the open space update comes out.
The fact that there was only one (incorrect) change to the MM is practically an insult to the community. So 2-man squads are balanced now? Okay, well what about the games where you can get matched with two 4-man squads? What about getting matched with HORRIBLE players and the enemy team is perfectly stacked? I am not the only one to have noticed this; it is actually a problem.
Fix the game, Devs. It’s your child, but you’re kicking it in the teeth.

I get kicked out of the preflight countdown as soon as it starts. I have spoken with several other users in the ingame chat in this is happening to them too. All of us were using steam over linux. We found 5 different instances were this was happening so I know Im not crazy nor is my machine specifically failing.
Someone at the ingame chat said the programmers are aware of it and trying to correct this, any news or updates on that.
It all happened when this latest patch autoupdated on my machine. It sux, I want to play, im really close to my t3 now but cant collect if I cant play.
