If we wll take a look from realistic point of view, then it should be lots of dark in many places.

Ain’t nobody touching Theta’s lights! It’s good as is. Ships with lights and effects just look better in dark.

So how many xeno containers can we open by the end of the event? Non-payer players, that is, and not counting tournaments.

Nah, it’s a pack of invasion+ some snow/crystal skins + basic Jericho skins (desert/metal/summer).

Which means that 4 skins of the list are Jericho only. Nothing is specific to Empire or Federation, and it doesn’t make them generic too.

 

If it was “Unlock all basic schemes for all factions” I’d understand. But here it just unlocks 4 schemes of jericho. I don’t get it.

 

And is the “aggressor” in the description supposed to be a scheme too, or just here “For fun” ?

Those are not “Jericho” skins, those are the schemes that can be equipped on ships that have a “camo” type of a pattern, like Caltrop and Mjolnir, there are quite a few Empire and Federation ships with a camo based paint. Plus it is still cheaper 3 months license (with blings) than just purchasing it through gold.

Only jericho ships can equip them. Which means that they’re jericho schemes.

Does this mean this part will be in the xeno containers from jan 3rd? So should we hold back opening containers till then?

Do you have also pushed the update to steam, i only know that some with the Launcher on Windows got an update, don’t got any update on steam/or haven’t noticed it but the bug is still here.

i like the new hangar. it’s really very detailed. Now I get why we had bugs with cameras in the hangars over the last year, you started adding more into that.

I docked out only once; lets say I am glad, it looks good on the inside. The idea with the Levibase is generally nice.

I am generally happy about the patch being somewhat more directional. I generally whish you good sales with this, and also hope next year you can iterate over things, before moving on to the next big content push.

As with the Xenocrystals I don’t share the fears of missing the stuff; I am pretty sure, it will be handled like the normal f2p “next resource” update cycle, which all other (already kinda failing) f2p games established as modus operandi: you introduce a new resource for exclusivity, and make the until then exclusive resource more integrated into the game. I particularly do not like this approach, nor do I think it’s wise, even rather foolish and more a trend - but it works for the moment, so why not. It does however make the game look cheap.

 

oh, and before i forget it.

could we - since we got easy/medium/hard - please remove the ship rank restrictions now? It stopped making any sense, than being rather really annoying.

This picture from the Alien Winter DLC, if I’m not mistaken isn’t this the Liquid Metal skin? If I’m correct why is this displayed in the marketing for the DLC? It’s completely misleading and lies about the skins offered in the DLC…

Indeed, it is. My friend bought it and expected a ship. Of course, I read it 5 times, asked around and concluded that it’s “misleading” again.

I had bought it with the main intent of getting the skin, what I thought what they meant with the metal skin. I was wrong. They are straight up deceiving buyers who don’t know the skin name and such, just as disgusting as the must spend money premise for the two new premiums. Such a small content update overall…although I was suspicious of them offering it in regards to its original small premise to be obtained. I already had the Invasion and snow skins and pretty much half of the DLC.

Here’s what the inside of the Ellydium Theta hangar looks like to me. I am a Linux SteamOS user. the 9 AM time was Eastern Time, same time zone as New York.

I reported this bug already and CinnamonFake said they are working on it

okay I swear on my mum. the vigilant is disgustingly overpowered with the spacial stabilizer, 8k range+ some garbage 10kdps is stupid. I keep complaining over any forum and Im not getting any answers.

federation gets… speed and energy.

jericho gets… shield…

empire gets high hull and high damage.

this is stupid and empire is a bit too powerful

“oh but! how are they gonna heal all that hull?!” simple. they don’t need to. they sit at 8000m away from anyone and they just kill anything within seconds. nobody can get close and if they do? minelayer bye-bye pesky interceptors. and if you were to spend your life towards damaging a vigilant? too bad you only did about… 5 to 10 percent of it’s total hull before dying. which isn’t enough in a gamemode such as team deathmatch.

meanwhile the tyrant has been arguably the worst of all 3 destroyers with a lame +20% or so extra shield regen different from the other sides of conflict which doesn’t change anything considering every destroyer ever uses either the vacuum resonance laser or the halo launcher.

the isotope harvester only does so little damage and heals so little to the point where none of any tyrants I see in-game use it.

most engineers are really good at healing hull while shields are getting a little neglected, especially the brokk works all it’s life on hull so if there’s two vigilants OR one vigilant+one brokk. just give up.

“oh but its a team game” nobody has the brain capacity to focus a vigilant and especially since they sit eight thousand meters away, you’d have to take on all of their teammates first.

the only enemy of a vigilant is interceptors that receive a thousand damage for getting hit for a fraction of a second to the resonance laser, or a longrange frigate that cant hit them because of static shields. or a weak guided torpedo can’t damage them quickly enough.

the spacial stabilizer almost only benefits the vigilant with it’s no need for projectile speed laser, and the 80% extra damage is just disgustingly overpowered on the vacuum laser.

im not asking for a massive nerf. I just want to see a more balanced rework of the spacial stabilizer, either a revert of the vigilant’s empire might patch. OR a buff to the jericho and federation destroyers so they get a chance of retaliating.

I had a 1 vs 1 with a vigilant, I was in a tyrant. and it was a pretty close fight, before the empire might patch. now I basically have no chance of victory if they use static shields and I refuse to use the halo launcher. the halo launcher is stupid and shouldn’t be a destroyer’s job to counter a destroyer. give that job to gunships and covert ops. 

oh. wait. they can’t have that job. they die immediately on a smooth touch of the vacuum laser.

(for the love of god give more projectile speed to the thermoactive weapon.)

I would guess this mentality isn’t very popular with us western folks and thus, I couldn’t give two pieces of xxxx about what an other player has. What is making me disappointed, is special ships with special abilities behind paywalls, the ships are then removed after a short time. Some of these abilities are also overpowered and really let a new player who comes to gripe with the situation, that he can’t achieve them, not even through paying, xxxx right off again and he’ll leave the game.

A coloring scheme for your ship ok, but not special ships with special modules.

Can’t agree more, especially with the last part I put in bold, and underlined, also I’ve said the same thing before as well.

Some of your points are true however. Timed exclusives and such

  1. Xenocrystals are very important for everything with the new faction, those are also in a cash shop random box (Xeno-expert) for 320 GS, and have been for some time now. That same GS random box also now has one of the other new items for the cabin, the Alien Composite Panel, only thing currently exclusive to the Xenochips bundle, are the event weapons they’ll remove from the game in a few weeks, or so any how.
  2. IF people fly them. When only one person on the other side of a 8v8, or so fight has one in their hanger, and they may not even be flying it (that was my actual experience when I tried), it’s going to take many fights to get 20 kills/assists, especially if you’re flying ships that don’t have wide area buffs to get buff assists with. With the destroyer events, there were paired tasks, one to get kills/assists of destroyers, and one to get kills/assists when flying destroyers, that, and as people wanted to fly their new ships helped make sure there were people with destroyers in the fights, no such thing here.

When it comes to something like the new one, to cap X beacons, you need to keep doing PvP missions until you get one that has beacons, since which type you get is completely random. Next you have to hope the matchmaker didn’t put you in the team that gets utterly steam rolled, so you even have a chance of capping them. Still not fun, and could be more fruitless rounds of something some, like myself, doesn’t even enjoy, at all. Since the new faction looks like too much hassle for a non-wallet warrior like myself, and especially after almost three months of that PvP crap I forced myself through for the destroyer event I couldn’t even get the one I wanted from anyhow, I have zero interest in doing more of that BS for something I don’t really care about.
3. The cabin is just one item, looks like all the associated modules, weapons, and rank upgrades require the building of things, each with monocrystal costs that scale up with their rank, it all adds up.
4. Big flippin’ deal, we used to get about twice as many from those missions, when we had far less things to build which used them than we did even before this update. That’s just the thing, especially with this clearly build heavy new faction, that will eat through monocrystals like crazy, there was no real increase to our gains of monocrystals to counterbalance the constant string of new things that need them.
