My octo (before I scrapped it) had over 1k/s regen easily, along with tripple adaptives. It was basically invincible. 1k/S is nothing for destroyers.

There’s no slot limit.

You can have 15 slots if you want to.

And good news. You’d expect that the 15% damage buff cost 300 xeno right ?

But it costs no more then a slot, so at r15 it should be ~20-30 depending on how much stuff you unlocked.

So, the hybrid ships are “naked” with level bonuses and stats and you build it up to perfectly suit you, therefore making it the most OP ship, because you can utilize your skill over 100%. In case you have a 404 error and no skill found, you will end up mediocre at best and with an empty wallet because i don’t see these players grinding these kinds of ships, ever.

I kinda like it, but the prices per unlock still…

“To perfectly suit you” is a lie tho. The passive slots are only available at their respective rank nodes. That sucks. Because I’d much rather have two engine at R9 than R10 because the rank jump there is completely awful and uncalled for.

100$ = ~340 xenocrystal. 

One slot/Buffer/Basic bonus/Blueprints/Actives = 4 xeno + 2 * number of basic bonuses acquired (the formula may be wrong, but it’s something similar).

the 33% buff costs 210, so does the deffensives bonuses next to this buff. 

The spread reduction/speed buff costs 130

The weapon cooldown costs 80

Gunship cooldown costs 300

 

So the Thar ga on the screenshot (3 actives 12 slots) above represent a total of at least 14 “slots” (including actives and weapon damage) and 210 xeno for 33% heating. 

Add the matter absorber r15 + blueprints (price of one slot + 14)

And approximately 4 buffer slots to reach his hull/shield strength.

For a total of 19 “slots” + 210. Considering my formula is most likely to be wrong, I’d estimate the costs between 600 and 800 xenocrystal, + the initial 100 xeno for building it.

 

So 200-300$.

 

Add another hundred and you have the spread/speed passive + 15% shield/hull strength passive.

Do the dailies and you also have a gun with it.

 

Don’t forget that some have GS from tourneys etc as well to ease the cost

Well it’s not like they planned the whole thing with only me or you in mind lol but it’s pretty good but i fear the consequences of such modularity, op players get to be more op, bad players get to be annoyed with the costs and cans of whoop-azz xD, nothing can change that tho, can’t wait to see for other xeno sources to mine/grind.

That is to be expected in an constantly (r-)evolving game… For that mode of game-development given/choosen,  our SC devs do good, very good! The constant is the change!

Yes, that is so! But the base concept of customizable (loved, personalized) ships through the ranks … is just appealing. And think of the broader diversity of ships in the universe. We will see! In some point in time the old ship types will be a private museum’s collection, more or less?

Generally the amount of some currency/material available during events far exceeds that we can get outside of the events, just look at destroyer materials for an example.

Realistically speaking, just how many people playing are in a position to generate even close to that amount of GS from just playing, or even the 250 GS per week? From my understanding it’s just the people that win those tournaments, and such, that get those rewards, so we’re talking about what would likely be an extreme minority of the player base that could ever hope to get that much. Although the fact you guys are now talking about GS like this just shows the level of importance GS is being given within the game now if you hope to play, and be on top. Since GS is the cash shop currency generally purchased with real money, you do know what you guys are basically classifying the game as by saying that, right?

Everyone can participate and win. It is a question of skill.

If you don’t have the skill to win nor are you putting in the effort to pull off wins, then you do not deserve the reward in the first place. Simple.

Yea prices are scary, and some requirements too. Like for the Hive ability. 75 dd kill with iridium slug, 40 cruiser kill with thi lith, which i didnt even crafted yet. (quite a few xeno xtal right there) + the 160 needed and gotta collect 40 osmium. Those you already had dont count. So i can forget Hive for a long time. But seems to me that some of those, even if available at lower rank are intented as end game stuff. Instead of having a dungeon to raid over and over, late game, we have Overpowered modules or modifiers that take forever to get.

Why would you want to collect entirely random drops? It’s entirely random now. We get what they want, not what we need.

Want to get neodium, play rank 8!

Want to get beryllium, play rank 11!

Want to get electrum, play rank 14!

Grind will most likely get worse, but sure, maybe in 1-2 years, you will have enough to fully upgrade one or maybe two ships of your choice.

I won’t be using them, but I will just create them. That way, I can just accumulate my resources, until I can actually decide, what to do.

All I want is a way to get these resources consistently without playing PvP, buying crates, or doing missions for crates. I just want to do a thing and get rewarded with the resource that I want. No randomness. No GS. No bundles. No PvP. Just. Resources.
