Star Conflict 1.3.4 Discussion

1-Increase the drop rates of crafting materials from mission rewards, and remove 5-10k credit drops, since pvp/mission/coop already rewards a nice amount of credits.

2-All rank 6+ ships should be able to get crafting materials and monos, not only sinergy maxed r8 and r11, because people are feeling forced to max out only these ranks ships.

3- Increase monocrystals rewards to 2 per mission like it was in before, so more people will like to play in open space. Also increase neodium/beryllium drop rates to allow farming to be more profitable in OS.

12 wins 2 berries, 0 monos… Loot is c***, lens is stil OP…

MkIV Upgrade kits will only appear for ships with maximum synergy level

Actually yeah why did this get changed? And how are we actually supposed to reliably get Iridium now? MkIV upgrade kits were the best way of getting Iridium and crafting materials outside of Open Space, and when they were useful it actually gave me an incentive to spend the loyalty vouchers to get the MkIII upgrade to a module. The MkIV kits were rare enough that they weren’t getting thrown at us, free salvaging them was a slow but reliable way of getting resources, buying them out felt like an appropriate expense given the luck it took to got one that was useful, and being able to buy them out gave us more options on making progress on ships, especially low-tech ships. Random chance upgrade kits was actually the best part of post-battle loot. Why are you stacking loot bonuses so heavily on Max Synergy ships now? The perspective I always had was that max synergy ships were meant to be the ships you used when you really wanted to win a fight, and the real game progression came from putting in the time to level up other ships. The change of forcing the good loot to max synergy (where there was no progression) really forces the bad choice of ‘do I try to make progress with my ships to get better ships’ versus ‘do I waste my time on already maxed ships in the hopes that it’ll give me the resources to make my other ships better’.

And yes I understand that there are experimental changes here but… Well, I’ll give it that experimental changes are worth a try and might sound good on paper, but there are several large changes in this patch that I really don’t feel were actually good ideas to be implemented.

My issue with experimental patches is the game left beta two years ago.

Exactly. On top of that, nobody mentioned what exactly is experimental this time.

Also the loot doesn’t even out with the decrease to OS daily rewards. If it were a direct layer on top of the previous numbers then it wouldn’t be as **** as it is. Still ****, but not as ****.

Except that most people wanted this because they don’t want to go to OS for monos. So… why is the drop rate so bad? If it were 50% of iridium drops (both straight iridium and mkiv kits) then you’d get one every 3-5 wins, which seems better at least.

Something something numbers something destroyers something something.

You can get more mono’s then before when you play the game 24/7 and you know everyone is doing this.

I guess im not alone on this afterall.

We lost the 3 monos on Open Space  missions to get better loot in PvP which is almost the same droprate as in Open Space. The update was good but this thing, even so small in numbers, made it look really really bad.

Personally, i dont have time everyday to play the game more than one hour which is just enough to get my dailies done, my main income were those 6 monos since i have almost everything else.

I wish you developers would change that part at least back to its original state, that’s all.

I have some comments, and a question.

Adding Resources as Loot:

We already could get plates, and what not by salvaging kits, adding in the rare stuff like monocyrstals, neodium, and beryllium was good, and would have completed things right there, but then you went and added the other resources too, and in their raw form at that. I’d say that last part was a big mistake, as it just added more junk, making it harder to get good stuff. What makes that even worse is how we can only get those rare items, at, and around specific ranks, although based on the description, you’d think it was only at those specific ranks, so that’s no good, and degrades much of the benefit that change would have provided.

Monocyrstals, Neodium, Beryllium, and Mark IV Upgrade Kits are Only Available as Loot for Max Synergy Ships:

I guess is a way to “encourage” us to use the paid synergy transfer service, and to buy premium ships. But I rarely fly my maxed ships, as I want to level others (been playing off, and on for almost three years, yet still have plenty more to level, I always take my time), or they are off doing those daily ship assignments. This part alone completely destroyed any benefit adding monocyrstals, neodium, and beryllium to the loot table could have done for people like me, and even took away the Mk IV kits while you were at it. Horrible, horrible, horrible idea.

Lowering Monocrystal Reward for Open Space:

Bad idea. Considering how many things use so much of them, and how few we got that way any how, cutting that number in half just makes things worse. I guess that was due to adding them in the loot reward, but those only show up around rank 6, with maxed ships, most I’d wager want out of that range in a hurry, so would get little, to no benefit to monocrystals being a slim victory loot possibility, which again requires maxed ships.

VS AI:

You tamed them down some, which was good, but then added destroyers, and reduced the loot, while we’re only getting I think 60% synergy, but still 100% credits, because we all just need more ways to get those creds (that was sarcasm by the way). At least give us three loot attempts again, and maybe bump up the synergy some. VS AI used to be pretty active, but now people seem to be getting uninterested in the mode, as even around what is normally peak times, I can be sitting there for minutes waiting to get in, when before it was more like seconds.

Destroyers:

First, one thing that’s been bugging me for a while now is how in some places they are called destroyers, while in others they’re called suppressor class ships, please pick one. Currently I’m fairly indifferent to the new repair drones.

Question:

Two new missions were added to gather 50 neodium, and beryllium as loot in loot rewards. Were those new permanent missions, or are they some sort of event missions, and if so, how long do we have to complete them?

I love this patch. As I don’t need destroyer materials, synergy, credits - this patch is AWESOME! Crazy? let me explain.

We went today with 2 2 people squads. One squad in R11s, second one in R13s. No destroyers equipped. Squad in R11s was usually facing people in R8s, squad in R13s - R11s. It was like christmas - easy targets EVERYWHERE. 0 lost games, usually over 10 kills per game. Pure fun! We were flying one ECM and one damage dealer, you cannot believe how fast R8 destroyer melts with that setup!

^Now this makes it look like the patch may have created an issue in the matchmaking algorithm, if higher-tech ships are routinely fighting lower-tech ships.

Also, it seems that store packages have been changed. Can someone confirm this? I’m not gonna be on till later.

Star Conflict: Age of Destroyers P# 1.34 Discussion :

Highlights: Material’s in PvE/PvP : Great idea, but as it was mentioned earlier 10:1 ratio greatly reduces OS farming, or any farming to be honest, I have got one bely in 3 hours of PvE on a r11 ship.

Destroyers Heavy Drone : Great idea again, yet the range needs a major improvement… maybe 900m would do, destroyers cannot maneuver everywhere so if your ally needs healing… its hard at 300m-very hard(tried it 23 times)

As for my more recent post I asked if the picture of 1.3.4 patch was a Beam-Cannon type gun on the R11 Brave. Is this a soon-to-be reality or just a thought your willing to discuss?

I’m pretty sure that it was simply a Meson blast caught just at the right moment. Though I would like a continuation of the whole laser ordeal. Every class but destroyers has one! Xp

Its 50/50% chance right now, until Cinnamon tells otherwise, but to capture the meson in that exact frame at that exact second would be a difficult thing and who would waist the time just to raise suspicion of a new weapon maybe?? Look at the starting screen in game, those are the Brave/Antares destroyers, way before they came out. I am sure they did that on purpose… maybe this is to.

Or maybe it has something to do with the new Premium ships? Or maybe it’s a completely irrelevant mechanic??? We won’t know until it happens, per usual.

Does anyone know if the premium ships work for the new looting as they queue a rank lower than their actual rank (or they used to)?

I was only doing OS moneycrystal mission with the hope if the squad play will be back & my corp will be active again.

But this patch I see there is no hint squad play.

No OS moneycrystal missions.

And I don’t play lower tier than V.

So I stopped update the game to save data  :005j: & uninstalled it with a hope I’ll install it again *soon…

* the same “soon” star conflict use

Apparently in order to increase the drop rate you need not only to use a r8 and r11 ship, but the more opponents/allies fly them in your game, the more the chance to get neo/berries.

This is not a 100% sure thing since google translate can fool me easly.

If you want monos instead: go play leagues! Tell me when you do it, please :stuck_out_tongue:
