Star Conflict 1.3.4 Discussion

My 2 cents on Destroyers.
They seems to have becomeing some sort of universal ship that has no spesific role in this game.
Its like a little baby that dont know where it came from nor does it know where its going.

Do not make it have the same role as other ships.
youre taking away roles from other ships.
Make destroyers have unique weapons that no other class has.
Example. Heavy Repair Drones do not belong on a “Suppressor” Destroyer.

I do like destroyers… but as for the gameplay im leaning towards that. they do not belong in pvp.
Atleast not the pvp we play today.

About Open Space
I used to collect about 1-2 impure berrylium each day. Average it to 1.5
3x where needed to build a plate.
It requires 32 beryllium per plate to build a R11 destroyer.

32x3 = 96 impure beryllium total.
96 / 1.5 = 64 days…
That number is insane in itself.

Now… The requirement has changed dramatically.
3.34 times more for berylluym ( 233.34 % increasement )
5 times more for neodium. ( 400 % increasement )

Lets look at the new numbers.
32 plates = (32 * 10) = 320 impure beryllium
320 / 1,5 = 213 days…

Oh… and need to add the special number aswell. 42 (“Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything”)
213 + 42 = 255 days. or as in hex 0xff days.or 2^8 days :stuck_out_tongue:

213 days will it take me if i play Open Space only!
213 days…
Did i say 213 days

Yeah… its a long time and i can surely reduce that to 1/2 the time and more if i spend Much more time ingame.
But i have a life besides gaming too.

This is just for the Beryllium. i also need neodium, osmium, so on.
The drop rate for Open Space seems to be as low as its always been. near none existant.
These new crafting requirement does not sit well with me.

And the reduction of monocrystal. well thats been coverd rather well too.
But dev seems not to understand the point people make about the reduction. By looking at comments on thouse posts.

It seems like its beeing showed under a carped and just point to pvp/pve… everything is glorious there.
Except 1/2 the day going into the queue.

I liked OpenSpace as it was… it had lots of great potensial. and i have many ideas i would like to share about howto improve it.
Sadly im just a little twat seen from the devs perspective and nothing i say will have any impact. they have their own plans.
And i think some of these devs are rahter arrogant. not all of them but some are. not nameing anyone.

More so… if some of this things are meant to be exprimental. Why are you pushing it out as a patch ?
Do you not have testers? Using public players as beta testers is less that smart.
There will be flaming and stuff as a result of that, bad word spread about the game so on.

Its good that people get rare materials from PVP/PVE/Coop now.
But it doesnt justify the low droprates there is in Openspace.

I said it before and i say it again… you made Open Space Obsolete.

Also its like a big lottery for pvp now.
1st. You need to win the match.
2nd. You need to have a good luck goblin chained to your computer desk if you are to get any of these materials.

Anyway… Suggestion for patch 1.3.5
1 * Listen to your community.
2 * REimplement things that you removed from the game that has been asked for since you took it out (Like 4 man squad.)

Please do not delete this post now… i didnt use any x words in it this time :stuck_out_tongue:

Yesterday (I read this patch and i think)…

  • neodium and belirium in pvp-pve (good!!.. + player in pvp - player in OS)
  • monocrystal in pvp-pve (very good!!.. i need they)
  • only elite ship (mmm… no good… i wanted level my ship…  but is not a big problem…)
  • only rank 8 and rank 11 (illogical!!.. sure i not understand good)
  • repair drone for destroyer (mmm… maybe can be a bad thing… i try it in battle)

After (I install patch and try it)…

  • neodium and belirium in pvp-pve (1 neodium each 10 battle win, in open space was better after patch… but + player in pvp… good if you not need mineral… ps.:i not like OS)
  • monocrystal in pvp-pve (I not saw they in 20 pvp… before 2 monocrystal at day with mission VS now 1 monocrystal + 0 in a lot… 2-1… not good)
  • only elite ship (mmm… no good… i wanted level my ship…  but is not a big problem…)
  • only rank 8 and rank 11 (really? only rank 8-11?? I like pvp rank 15… and now i find max 4 player because all play rank 8-11… very bad)
  • repair drone for destroyer (is not OP… alternative at barrier… good)

so, one neodium every ten victories

10 for a plate = one plate every 100 victories

over 5000 victories to get a destro

I have 6000 victories after playing the game for three years

lol.

I’ve not tried this patch yet, but I’m not liking what I read here. I’ll give you full feedback later this evening or tomorrow.

I paid for premium because those mono-crystals were so hard to acquire. Now, I see what I thought I paid for removed and “rebalanced.” Instead I have to play a ton more games and hope chance rewards 6+ hours of playing for what I thought I already paid for. Its just dumb and it feels like I got cheated. And I’m not even a veteran, I only started playing late January so I cant even imagine how some of the vets must feel at this betrayal.

I got 3 beryllium ore out of 5 PvP wins and 1 Defiler spec op

It is way too early to judge pvp loot drops, plus i would never assume that something that was introduced 1 day ago will stay forever the same.

Regarding the patch:

I like rewards from loot attempts, I like that alot

I like Sector reward tokens as well

Healing drones so far looks ok, even though they partialy reinforce 3x Horizon holo desstroyers sitting wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back but now they have healing rather than useless (in their playstyle) static shields.

What I don’t like is being forced to play ONLY rank 8 and rank 11 for chance to have beryllium/neodymium, rather than being able to play ships of 3 rangs range i am forced into very narrow box, where i have access to all these nice things, and yet i have to only use this in order to be eligible for resource drops. I can see why r13-15 may be exempt of rewards, for now, until r14s dessies introduced, but limiting to 1 rank is not cool.

Regarding the Sector tokens, i like the process, but there are always edge cases, like in case of NASA, currently we control 5 sectors and generate 20 tokens, so assuming average 50% w/l that is 40 games to collect full reward. We could as well cap more sectors but that will only increase amount of games required to rip full rewards, without any immediate benefit. Maybe tweak reward-token ratio, to reduce total tokens.

I got 1 beryllium and 1 neodium on 18 win today… and 1 neodium on 20 win yesterday…

for 1 plate o enriched need 10…

But the problem it’s not only beryllium or neodium i like play rank 15… when i lunch there is low people, because all are in rank 8 or 11… this patch damages also who not want search minerals…

I got 1 beryllium and i neodium on 18 win today… and 1 neodium on 20 win yesterday…

what ships did you play, what ships did you have equipped?

what ships did you play, what ships did you have equipped?

minotaur-swift egle-grizzly mk2-spartacus for rank 11

procyon-swarm-hawk-m-prometeus for rank 8…

I try also to mix… for example procyon-hawk m-swift eagle - minotaur… but not change the result

Are you sure it has to be rank 8 or 11 only?

Max range is 3. So you can be with 8,9,10 ranks, or 7,8,9 ranks etc.

Then again the patch notes are rather obscure on this matter. They do not say exactly what ships are required in your lineout. This line seems to imply that any ship combination from rank 6 to rank 13 will gather resources, (maybe as long as they include a rank 8¨or 11).

Starting with rank 6 any ships can get resources required for ship manufacturing in post-battle trophy search

But these lines say otherwise:

Ships with maximum synergy level can also get the following resources in battles:
Monocrystals (For maxed ships starting with rank 7)
Neodium (For maxed ships of rank 8)
Beryllium (For maxed ships of rank 11)

Well, either way we need confirmation.

That’ll be the day.

Still haven’t seen a monocrystal after my PvP wins. So that’s my monocrystal income from my licence account gone from 9 per day to 6 per day for the forseeable future.

And that means no further licence after this runs out.

Funny how you have two 1 month licence sales and a 6 month licence sale just before you change the god-damn conditions of the licence.

Good job.

In regards to the drop-rates, it seems that it is simply random, as I got one beryllium from three wins, as well as various other lovely resources. Though the whole 10 ore per plate thing is easily a counter to any good that became of this new system. It also makes OS loot 100x more pointless.

Max range is 3. So you can be with 8,9,10 ranks, or 7,8,9 ranks etc.

Well, this is still not the case. I am still having pvp battles with and against ships from my highest rank +/-3 ranks range. Last time I had only rank 8 ships mounted and I saw several rank 11s. There was one player with only r11s. Maybe it was just  mismatching, I don’t know.  (Edit: Nope… it was not mistake).

The ‘highest rank +/-2 rank range’ rule would be so much better. Maybe not for MMing speed but for fairness definitely.

Let’s just hope they will make their comeback either with the R14 destros or with the OS rework…

Are you sure it has to be rank 8 or 11 only?

I’ll try to explain it to you  From rank 6 you can get vanadium, osmium and other crap from loot slots after the battle was won. However to get neodium chance you need to fly R8 elite or R11 elite ship. To get beryllium chance you need to fly elite R11 ship.

I found this explanation on Steam:

“To get materials for rank 8 destroyer, you’ll need rank 8 max synergy ship, not rank 9.”  by ST_Team

So if you will fly anything other than R8 or R11 with max synergy, you will not have a chance for beryllium or neodium to drop, but if you will fly anything R6+ you will have a chance of getting vanadium, osmium, crystals etc.

jfc, you just don’t add such a thing as ‘LUCK’ in a game economy balancing, WTF??

It’s ok to base getting stuff by chance, but you don’t roll your game around ‘luck’ as a factor… come on…

Yeah mono loot drop rate seems to be very random.

38 games today, 27 wins, I got 1 mono from pvp, 2 from specops (1 purple, 1 casual loot).

What about monos? Ca you get them with any rank ship higher than rank 6?

I found one in my rank 9, but only once in the last two days. With premium.

I could grind a full ship of blue to purples at 13-15 from only iridium drops in pvp before I make one day’s worth of station switching dailies.

The idea of giving monos from loot is good. Its the drop rate that sucks.

There is one more way to solve this problem.

Purple daily loot spots should drop either 1 monocrystal, 1 beryllium or 1 neodium ore. This applies for both PvP and PvE missions.

I would rather add another contract, which requires, that you win a battle in PvP and PvE and get the reward of your own choosing.

It is simple. You have 3 daily contract choices. You can select only 1. The one you select, disables the other two.

Then you can at least have something more than this… system. Oh and this also means that now people will actually spend less on a Premium license instead of more.

Trophy search in PvP, PvE and Co-op

From now on, in PvP, PvE and Co-op modes in ‘trophy search’ after the battle you can find such rare resources as neodium and beryllium needed for construction of ships.

This is a great addition, but the execution is lacking imo.

I’ve played a couple dozen matches and i’ve only gotten 1 Beryllium ore thus far (5 loot attempts), drop rate for the more desired resources seems waaaay to low in the loot screen. I say increase the chances for finding Graphite, Neodium, Beryllium etc. ore through the loot screen or replace the ores with their plate/enriched versions to counteract the low drop rate of these resources.

I’m suggesting this because i’ve mostly only found vandadium, impure osmium, etc. through the loot screen, when resources like these have always already been more easily available in Open Space, it seems like a waste to have these resources trump out the more rare resources through the loot screen.

MkIV Upgrade kits will only appear for ships with maximum synergy level

What was the reason for this change? It just makes leveling/upgrading your ships even more tedious and grindy.

The number of trophy search attemps has been reduced to 2 in Co-op mode. Players with premium licenses still get two additional attempts

Even though you added things to co-op as well, it really seems like you’re trying to give less incentive to play co-op with this change.

The amount of monocrystals in daily missions was decreased, because now this rare material could be found in PvP, PvE and Co-op.

The problem with this change is now the people that (almost) only play Open Space get screwed, just like the people that only played PvP beforehand would complain about the resources because they (almost) only played PvP.

So you gave resources to one group, but took away resources from another group, you still have the same situation as before the 1.3.4 patch were one group has less access to resources because of the mode they play, you just changed the group of people that gets screwed (you’ve pretty much given even less incentive to play Open Space now).

Please change the monocrystal value of the daily missions back to what it was before the patch or make monocrystals drop more frequently in Open Space loot/trophies to counteract this change.

Resources

Changed the way of obtaining resources for destroyer manufacturing

Increased ore requirements for plates:

One beryllium plate now requires 10 ore units

One neodium plate now requires 10 ore units

Because of the reasons i stated above, this seems like a really unnecessary change or in the very least a bit overkill. Somebody else said this already, but to echo what this person said i think 5 ore units per plate seems more reasonable.

Improved graphics

It might just be me, but it looks like the shadows of the ships in the hangar are of reduced quality now (less smooth it seems). I’m not 100% sure about this, so if somebody else wants to comment on this it would be appreciated.

Improved ammunition selection window

Less scrolling through lists is always a good thing. ^^

Fixed karma value calculations for kills with drones

I actually posted this bug and i know it probably was a low priority bug, but thank you for fixing this amongst all the destroyer craze.

So, 10 battles, nine wins three impure neodium, in an hour of playing.

So I’ll only need to play three hours to get one neodium plate, and 70 hours to build one destroyer structure.
