YKnow what, if I could have some direct answers to these questions I would be persuaded to keep the game installed at least:

  • Why are there R9+ battles instead of T3 battles, who decided that was a good idea, and why am I matched into R9+ when I have 1 R9 ship and 3 R7?
  • Why were the rank rewards destroyed in favor of ‘careers’. Not just that but why was it a ninja nerf? In the patch notes there was no mention of the reduction, just the UI change. It was an extremely non-transparent change, which always leads to mistrust in the producer.
  • Will there ever be T3 only battles again from MM? Because my last 6 pvp battles were all R9+, and I had 6 terrible times in a row.

Im pretty sure having premium rebalances the drop rates of all materials.

If I stop getting the same amount of neo and beryl once my premium runs out I won’t beleive you.

Well, I have put in quite a few hours trying to find Berry, I have only found 1 enriched, from about 60 mysterious crates, and 4 berry ore, I got lucky one day and RNGesus was kind to me and I found 3 of those within an hour but nothing since. I have now given up looking apart from a quick peek as I travel between stations for my dailies.

I only ever bother to search valuable minerals, and I don’t have a scanner. I had no problem finding beryl ore from it, and traded it to my corp mates for neo which I couldn’t find.

From beginning of this game was a simple rule - don’t mix tiers (ranks) of your ships in slots. MM takes into account highest ship in your slots. 

Rank rewards - because they were giving a destroyer and 2 SP ships just for leveling. Vets were pissed, so instead of giving out all players, they nerfed it. Still - you are getting much more that we got when leveling.

Now MM gives you opponents your highest ship in slots ±2 ranks (so for R9 you can get R7-R11). Higher your rating,  higher possibility of getting higher ranked enemies.

As much as those explainations clarify things, you’re not the one who needs to answer them.

 

Don’t mix ship ranks is a ‘simple’ rule? I know for a fact that wasn’t true from the beginning.

 

Not only that, it’s just wrong. ‘Don’t do this’ is an improper mentality to gain about a game from playing it. +/- 2 ranks is a stupidly massive difference in power.

Am i the only one with ingame issues here, cant get any achievements, kicking me constantly from the server and nothing almost works in the game for me…

Wrong: When having only a R6 Recon in ship list during AI battle selection, was automatically teamed up against R15 OP AI, so definitely isn’t matched up to +/- 2 levels of your max level ship in queue.

I can’t accept the contracts from career (from mini patch,that was not listed on forum) it keeps loading for few minutes and does not work.

Same here. I’ll just stay put and wait.

Contracts dont work, no loot after PvP and PvE, open space doesnt work, (still no phaser). :c

no phaser is good phaser.

As a relatively new player I have to say that this latest patch has made destroyers even more of a hassle than before. I simply have less fun playing the game.

 

The most frustrating aspect has to be the feeling of powerlessness. Knowing that there was literally nothing I could’ve done, in my rank 9 ship, to change the tide of battle, like every win/loss is a coin flip from the matchmaker.

 

The gravitational lens isn’t too much of a hassle in my empire ships, but it’s simply crippling all of my jericho setups, especially the frigates. I don’t understand why this weapon deals hull damage when shields are already the weakest protection in the game by far, and jericho ships are considered the weakest in all but a few cases. Why exacerbate this imbalance problem?

 

I’m very saddened by this push to make destroyers more prevalent in every area of the game. I understand the marketing - they are very cool looking, very powerful and very expensive - but I fear it might drive people away more than it might make them purchase bundles, especially since the rewards are random. It doesn’t seem sound. “Purchase hundreds of maybe-some-beryllium bundles and have fun at the expense of people who didn’t!” or, you know, just play anoher game.

 

In the past, if a particular ship class didn’t interest me, it was irrelevant. I would just play something else and be just as effective. Other people’s personal playstyle didn’t affect me beyond their skill, and losses felt much more fair. I would end the match assessing all the things I could’ve done better and would queue up instantly for another, making some improvements. Right now, the only way to counter a T4 destroyer is another T4 destroyer. Choosing not to play one is a disadvantage and makes matches more difficult, and more random. Personal skill is getting second priority to team composition, which we have no control over because squads barely exist.
