Glad that you appreciate these tweaks and additions. About Leagues during US prime time, sad to hear that, we made time more convenient fo U.S players, but aparently it’s still not enough. Maybe people with T4 destroyer will change something. Btw we are working on Leagues evolution right now, i think it will also can help.

 

We are monitoring situation right now, as you said it’s not former T3, it’s R9+. So far we need more feedback and stats to change something in this matter. Also, did you notice tweaks in matchmaking? Now it counts destroyers in ship slots.

 

Asymmetrical mm for squads on high ranks sounds like one of the possible solutions, but i can’t reveal anything about this for now.

I hope the evolution for leagues will come soon. The USA players are so apathetic that they have no willpower to form league teams to play. It’s ridiculous, sitting in queue for 35-40 minutes during NA league hours and not have a game.

 

I did notice the tweaks in MM, however there is one problem I see. **Some games pit 2 R11 destroyers against R7 R8 (oops typo) destroyers, with no R11 destroyers in the other team. **Here’s a screenshot for reference:

Also, thank you for letting me know that your team is considering solutions to reimplement squad-based PVP. I hope that asymmetrical MM will be the eventual solution, as it worked quite well the last time it was (briefly) reimplemented. I saw squads everywhere in ALL tiers, even T5! And it was such a beautiful sight))

Of course, the MM will have to be tweaked even more to account for destroyers now.

WTF? why do we even have other ships then destroyers? O.o

No one is listening anymore. It’s done. These devs are remorseless, this is the new direction of the game.

A limit in numbers would suffice. The biggest problem at the moment are the Broker missions, rewards are great but it just causes dessie spam.

sometimes there is no way to stop them. You have to go back in time to kill them BEFORE they decide to grab the bomb

funny, coming from u. as thats what i hear when you whine about the en community, sitting in the middle of it and imagining being a bystander. which is ironic, given that some of the “communication” problems come exactly because of this mindset.

 

it is completely natural that some people always complain, yes. altough, to be honest, the “best” patches in SC were usually “finally” solving bugs or ironing out problems, so a “really overall positive patch” has yet to be seen in SC’s history. Patting one-self on the back, about how far the game has come all the time has created a little illusional void, even amongs the most hardcored fans here, so even for me. Sometimes, being stubborn and arrogant seems to counteract outside criticism for a while, until one realizes, nobody would criticize in the first place, if there was not some faith, hope or belief existing first, that things might become better. Silence is even worse, than criticism, and silence was the tenor of the last few months.

 

 

I have noticed a change which was a good step tho this patch, the salvage outcome preview. Even tho, if I would brainstorm about extending the tooltip system instead. More information shown without overloading the player, but also not hiding it in mystery - that’s the right approach.

 

My point still stands, that currently, the way things are handled are chaotic at best. There are many problems open, and I just  hope, there is some long term solution planned to straighten out the game in terms of rewards and balance.

 

I always praised the devs for being good in doing the engine, as the engine is still very well maintained*, especially given the technologies used (I know how chaotic scripting language code can become), and I see improvements in entangling the community a bit. I understand, the two-fold-community of SC has a bit of a problem to solve - having an international “en” side and a “ru” side kinda creates it’s own problems sheer by existence. But I do not care about community drama that much, for me the main agenda is to give my feedback as good as possible, even if emotions sometimes crawl into it. That being said, being good in the technical sense doesn’t mean you implement the logic right, and no matter what is shown on your resumee, you should always stay open minded about catching up even on the field of your own expertise.

 

The current “Gravity Lens” spell is a very good example for this. It ignores not just ingame rules of how damage mechanics work, it also completely ignores established rules of the metagame, and generally has a ridiculous mechanic, that has been explored and balanced well over time in many other titles. That spell would be completely fine, if it would not kill the target, but leave him at a couple hp; it makes it quite receptible to crash deaths anyway. Being kinetic damage makes not much sense, but that’s flavour, but it should still be affected by resistance (as I always read the same numbers on any ship, but this is just a guess).

 

Otherwise, many have pointed out different modules on the dreads to be op, and different voices come up. Maybe the modules need changes, maybe the game mode needs changes, and maybe even there is no other way but class limits (albeit, I hope we can actually not have that, as it takes out a bit of fun in the game). For me the module which seems a bit OP are the invulnerable shields, which should mainly block destroyer damage, but not be so effective against small ship fire; or at least less spammy. The other change I really hope to see there are simply larger weights on destroyers in the point system for matches. They are simply not the same point-class anymore, than the other 3 classes.

 

I mean cmon’ with point system tweaks, and clever respawn timer scales, we could have even tried all tier mixing at some point, making T1 zerging a high tier match a nice challenge, like an all team deathmatch mode with high scores or similar as some “other gamemode” instead of relabeling old ideas badly in a new kind of suit, like leagues. Again I point out, the whole spawn and point system could get a lot of infusion from concurrent titles which have evolved a lot over simple A-B spawns, I mean look at the painful history of BF spawning until they finally got it right now. It’s time to declare some days of work-day-game testing some AA titles, devs, get some outside influence. There are a lot of things others simply really do better, even if you don’t like them for any selfish reason.

 

And believe me, such advice i dont give just because I know better. I mean I know I do, and you probably doubt that, but I know one thing for certain, this challenge I have to take up myself a lot, and it’s not like I don’t do professionally quite similar things.

 

*) well except the gui part, but you guys really try to improve there, and admittedly, gui is a pita, especially in a game engine, where you gotta reinvent the wheel. literally, if its a color wheel.

 

also stop make me grind open space until you make it fun, and keep the missions optional until then. how come i love to play survival games, run my own survival servers like ark or dayz, coz playing the games is not enough love, love wasting time in elite and eve, and still refuse to dock out to ridiculously play catch and hide with zombie-aliens to pick up 100cr in the hopes of getting a destro, which you basicly gave to new players for free, while missing all the missions to gather materials to build the next one? bad karma for u. don’t you get, it’s just horrible what you do there? i feel you spit in my face every time i log in. srsly.

again, all i see is missed opportunities. e.g. incentive for group play: finish destro missions in squads, if the other guy has a destro, and you dont. why is it so ridiculously easy to come up with myriads of ideas to make things better? why don’t you just sit down, and admit, you need to approach things from several sides and get a good compromise, instead of just ruining features like squadding? which you btw. ruined yourself with ridiculous “rules” in the MM, no matter what you make believe yourself.

If you disagree, feel welcome to join some pvp matches, and show me on the battlefield, that i am wrong. If that’s what it takes to play your own game, please come and farm me for my walls of cynical hard to translate texts.

200 GS for ammo, the stats in a month will tell you enough.

So I spent 200 GS in exchange of 300k ish crit dmg and beat leaderboard time by 2 minutes. I would say worth it if you equip it on r11 destroyer.
