Star Conflict 1.3.2 Discussion

It’s possible, cause if they can’t find target they just flight straight, and if your ship is on their way they can damage you.

Self fire is on, friendly fire is off for tempest. You can only dmg yourself with tempest if you are close enough to the blast radious. Friendlies hit by tempest will recieve no dmg.

That most definitely is working as intended (I hope), since the tempest launcher launches missiles. Missiles can self harm you in case you hadn’t noticed.

Tbh I only knew that em torp and lrf guided torp can dmg self.

Btw, tempest torps did not hit me but another ship right in fromt of me.

By the time that fresh new player reaches R15 in all 3 factions ill have more than that without even using prem license, dlc nor boosters, just my good friend spatial scanner i didnt payed for (with cash) :).

If those rewards are so good, why dont you start a new account?

Because I’ve spent a lot of money on THIS account, and I don’t want to lose hundreds of pounds worth of premium ships.

Well then, I’m assuming you mean that they collided with another ship or did you mean damage another ship?

Yep, this is an important addition

Other friendly ships were not damaged only one enemy.

So Doomb0t, can we get some feedback on this parts issue now it’s obviously not a trivial matter? Seems a lot of people are in the same boat as I am - pissed off that new players get more ship parts and resources than we’ve amassed since the content was launched.

If they will ignore this, because of “economic matter”, it would be a huge mistake.

Every corporation is informing their members about this now. It’s only a matter of time.

No Papi. If new player is smart, then he will ask around. He will get his 3 R15s in 43 days.

In 43 days you will get: 258 monos ±2 from drops, around 70 iridium plates, about 90 million credits. In that time he will get the same amount of monos (mono missions are from R6 and they are easy as hell there) - minus some hard missions if player is between R7-R10. He will not get a spatial scanner in that time, but he will learn few locations. So some credits and some neodium will drop (around 10 plates and 15 million creds). And yes - those are not theoretical numbers - just hard experimental data.

Just comparing monocrystals:

you will get 258, he will get 1380. See the difference?

Spatial Scanner doesn’t help with monos, plus all new players have equal chance to get what you could in that time…

So i did this mission yesterday, for the new resource, but it never appeared in the resource tab. As a matter of fact i had the same problem before the r8 destro and i even made a topic about it.

I make this short, cuz i know otherwise the receiver would just ignore it:

Leagues are fucked up, their restrictions are a thing of insanity.

Leagues diminish the importance of corporations, you promote a competitive mindset but there is not enough players to support this.

Dreadnought battle announcements are still buggy, and get abused, to a point where taking it serious would be futile.

Still no squads around.

The devs are not playing their game, as clearly observable in the patchnotes. Get off your private testserver and learn your own game for gods sake.

Playing with friends is still impossible. All of the people that enjoyed the game but where still newbies, left because they have no interest to play alone. it doesnt matter how easy u make the grind. They still wont stay. Don’t even get me started about the number of “vets” that left.

Wich brings me to the purpose of destroyers. To give the Ace a ship that out of sheer staying power makes every others life hard, doesnt matter who or what, it always is a waste of time to kill a destro, but you have no choice your team needs him dead.

Adding new stuff, hoarding more potential bugs and chaos, congrats for that.

2 new resources for 2 ships, that you need the first one to get the second. SERIOUSLY.

Ok thats it, now you can continue to not give a xxxx.

Question: Why do 85% of ppl that play Warthunder, don’t know that this game exists? You don’t even to promote this game within your OWN publisher??

But we should grind, because we have been getting xxxx on our hats since 2013, is that your attempt of balancing “vets” against newbies?

This is mainly one thing that I too find irritating, since every time a corp mate asks if I want to do some pvp with them, I have to say no since the MM literally does not like squads and the same goes for newer players since most of them like to have help/ a friend around but they simply can’t. I personally think that fixing up the squad issue is rather high priority since it is a game mechanic that right now doesn’t work at all, but other things definitely still out do it in regards to how broken they are.

However to the dev-game thing, I’ve seen lezort numerous times in pvp, not sure how many others play pvp on public, but I know for sure lezort does.

Dont wanna fight you, im just saying: you had a lot of time and resources to get what you have. Destroyers are the promotional ticket that has been increasing population…a fresh new player atracted by destroyers will take a lot of time to build one without these easy rewards. Besides, im pretty sure that when you had to level your ships and equip them there werent that many players with maxed ships (and maxed destroyers), unlike a new player would face now at T3. Ive seen in many games that rewards for new players gradually increase in order to make their entrance smoother vs veteran players. Besides, vet players need something to work on (like destroyers), otherwise end content runs out quick.

I really doubt a fresh new player will be smart, skilled, know exactly what to do and manage to do it properly (btw, asking around doesnt grant you the “right” answers always). Your data is only valid for a veteran player starting a new account. Simply go to T1-2 PVP/PVE and see how players do far from optimal. Before playing SC i used to play plenty of FPS games (doing great) along with “Ace Online”…i had a nice “career” to start playing SC, however i was no way near of getting all 3 factions to R15 (i had no premium but that wouldnt have changed things much), even that i learned many things quickly and start teaching others about game mechanics and stuff. What i try to say is: you may have a great preparation for a certain game, but without the specific experience of that game you will do far worse than a vet, cause every game has its own things that determinate whats the optimal (in one game it will be better to fly foward towards the enemy and orbit, in other it will be better to fire while going backwards). No offense niri, but your “hard experimental data” seems only a stat achieved by you, a vet, far from beginners actual performance.

I find myself just logging in to do dailies these days as there is nothing but upcoming new ships right now to keep me interested.

I dont even care that new players are getting ship parts for levelling up. Easy T4 spec ops has been running every other day for months to get parts. Any decent wing of R15 players should have been been able to squad and grab these rewards which where out of reach of players who hadnt progressed that far. Same with leagues over the last month, how many newer guys got crushed into the dust or could not compete while the vets claimed thier 30-45 extra monos a week. Experience is its own reward.

I dont even think that destroyers are OP, a huge change to game dynamic but far from OP. Just requires better coordinated teams to deal with them… or one on your side.

What disappoints me is not only the continued squad restriction but that this blanket restriction can be added while still allowing players to que with one ship in their lineup. The dull same game mode league now with extra team rules, the abused and campout dread games. Basically all the game modes involving teams and squads seem to need a fix in one way or another.

Seems like a single player game now in so many ways. The introduction of destroyers has only highlighted this imo. They can be soloed, better to have a friend or three.

I wish I hadn’t heard of this game until destroyers came out.

Then I could have the two special project ships I have now, discounted premium ships at 2016 GS each and spare resources for a destroyer.

I’ve got all of this now, but I’ve been sitting back just playing skirmish for some years in silence. To be honest, that’s a few years I feel that I’ve wasted.

I feel pretty angry about it to be honest. Is my time playing your game really worth that little?

Because you’ve xxxx on us from a great height, that’s why!

This thread has numerous people informing you that the rewards new players get just from reaching Rank 15 is FAR more than we got in our entire time playing the game.

It is galling that a new player, putting no money into the game, can in 2 months have more Destroyers and Secret Project ships than I do, when I’ve sunk hundreds into this title and taken part in events specifically designed to give us these ships faster.

You are giving content to new players that old players cannot access. You are making us feel unwanted. You are making us resent having ever supported your game.

What you are failing to grasp is that in order to have gotten what the new guys get for free, I would basically have to have spent all my play time doing something I hated.

If I want Secret Projects or Dreadnoughts, I have to xxxx about in Open Space for an hour a day, every day, for months on end. Then I have to waste millions of credits on buying and salvaging modules.

What I want to do is fly PvP and PvE.

Oh, look! New players get ship parts by flying PvP and PvE! They get to do what I want to do and get rewards I don’t get!

Because you’ve xxxx on us from a great height, that’s why!

Because we are unwanted. We payed our money now we are just make their life harder. We have skills and experiences, what is hard to balance. They don’t respect those few hundreds of players who never give up, and even they made sh*t job, stayed and paid.

Now they think they found the goldmine in the destros. Hurray, new ppl coming they can finally forget the bad times when only we played and sponsored them.

I agree with the most of the vets above. I was one of the vets who made the mono mission almost every day for years. I always bought my premium license.

I have now 7/9 secret projects, some orange stuffs. I waited extra 2 weeks to be able to build my secret projects on the way how I like. Now every second n00b flying with those ships, because they become cheaper. Some other “vets” who just built it on the fastest way, can also have the same ship as mine… OK, np. Even if I sucked hard, those changes are good for the game so I don’t like to complain. BUT STOP ASKING WHY THEY PISSED!!!

This patch is -10/10 for me. Why? because of the stupid league restrictions, and because this patch didn’t solved anything from the current serious issues.

Positive:

  • Toggle for the Lookaround

  • US League time changes

  • New missions

Negative:

  • Versus AI. That mode is totally useless, only good for newbies to get games at the beginning in squads. But the T1 games are full with bots anyway.

  • Mono missions REQUIRED DESTROS??? Seriously??? What if I don’t have destro, because I got kicked from “lower tiers” and I don’t have enough resources to build one?

  • No fix for squads

  • No fix for dread system

  • No T5 dreads

  • No teamplay support

  • No social functions fix

  • No balance fix after destros

  • New stupid rule for leagues

I think the idea of grinding the destros are good, and it is working. You keep entertaining the players with the missions, and at the end they get some new and unique ships. This is good and I like it. But there is no reason to do it on this way. You don’t have to have squad restrictions, bad dread system, killed social functions to make it work.

What you are failing to grasp is that in order to have gotten what the new guys get for free,

Not for free.

I already told my position, it’s common practice in many games to encourage new players. When you separately buy dlc’s in any game and after that some guy bought it at a lower price, you are also angry? When one popular online game proposed to newbies to reach maximum level per a couple of weeks, it was ok?

What is the issue that new guy can evolve in a game faster and fight against you in high ranks? How is this new guy bothers you? He didn’t steal these rewards from you.
